Otogi. Another Sega gem...

If you own a Xbox, and you like good games...then otogi is for you! It is a deep, pretty, outstanding game that is only held down by a few minor flaws...

Gameplay-8/10

Great Gameplay. There are two attacks buttons, Quick slash and a Big slash. Many people may say you use the same combo(X,X,X,Y)but certain enemy's need to be killed diffrently. You can also jump pretty high, and by attacking you can almost hover in the air, making it easy to kill an enemy that is in the air that is to high to reach.You also have a spell attack, where you attack with a spell you have bought. You also have to complete stages in a fixed amount of time because of yuor magic bar, it depletes as you progress, and if it goes all the way out, your abilities shrink, and you can't do much damage and can not dash. Luckily, by killing enimes, your magic fills back up. Battles tend to get repetive, and kinda cheap, and gets HARD!One of the major flaws, i mean, the whole magic meter thing limits fun and makes you feel like the game is a job at some times...but not enough to not want to play. Overall, more deep then most hack'en slash games out there...

Graphics-10/10

Man, these are great. Framerate is never low, the distructible envirements look so good, and when your destroy them, they look better, and you can destroy lots of things, even make dents on the ground by pounding your eniemes into it! These are top notch even for the Xbox...Definitly deserves a 10.

Replay-6/10

Solid replay value, as there are may wepons and spells to collect. There are so many diffrent weapons in the game, every time you play with a diffrent weapon, its a diffrent experiance. Same thing with the spells and the accessories. The game is also so good and challenging you will want to play more, if you aren't fusterated by the level of diffuculty.But don't buy it if your souly looking for replay value...

Overall-8/10

Overall, pick this one up. Its another game by Sega that is diffrent, fun, and challenging. Not DMC, but distroys Chaos Legion and DMC2. If you have DMC, and want a hack and slash that is as good as DMC, buy this....heck, you hate hack and slash games, or don't have DMC, then get this anyway. Thanks me later...
