Minority Report: Everybody Runs
Review by Frowdo
"Most painful expierence ever......"
Concept: Set in the near future, you are the head of PreCrime, an organization that arrests people for murders before they actually happen. Of course something goes awry and your minions come chasing after you.
Graphics: 3/10
Yet another title that doesn't use the power of the Xbox. Enviroments are rather bland and the textures nothing to look at. Characters are not even close to their movie counterparts. They also lack realistic movements and are rather plain. They also seem to lack detail.
Sound: 4/10
Forgettable, music didn't do anything for me. The voice work is done well, but don't expect to be listening to Colin Farrell or Tom Cruise. Kind of sad to say but this is probably the best thing about the game.
Controls: 1/10
Painful, very very painful. Controls are slow, and very unresponsive. At times you may wonder if your controller is even plugged in. Each punch or kick takes a painstakingly long time to pull off and several times you may end up getting knock over or fall over for no reason. Weapon controls on the other hand aren't bad, as you can easily lock onto badies, however there were some difficulties switching to a different person to attack.
Playability: 1/10
A horrendous playing expierence. Throughout the game you can find seceret areas that contain money to buy upgrades. Upgrades include Permanent stat increases, weapons, temporary boosts, and moves. Now I ask you why would you need to pay $300+ to learn some basic moves.
Overall: 1/10
The only reason to even think of trying out this game would be if it had anything from the movie in it, which it doesn't. Well, maybe it has the basic plot, but not much outside that. The game seems to think that you actually watched the movie since the story that unfolds is not very well told and without the background that the movie gave the character it's kind of like controling a stickman. Without a single decent part of the game, it makes you think of what they were doing over there when they made this game. One final thing, the game makes no sense at all. It switches from item to item without any reason. Like a suspect may get away, and your character is like, oh well, and they go on to the next mission.
Rent or Buy: Don't do either, whatever you do. KEEP YOUR MONEY! This is just another one of those games that buys a decent movies name, and brings about a horrible gamming expierence. Barney's Sing Along tapes are more fun.
