WWE Raw 2

"Like Frosted Flakes, It's Grrrrrrrrreat!"

It's finally hear, after a VERY long wait. Raw 1 was quite possibly the worst wrestling game on earth, and everyone was hyping the follow-up. Raw 2 definately lives up to the hype. It's a very updated version of Raw 1, which makes it one of the best. It has the biggest Roster in WWE Game history, and 64 CAW slots! I'll go over the features of Raw 2 and compare it to the other wrestling game that's out, Wrestlemania XIX. Wrestlemania XIX is a very superb game and if you want to read what I thought of it, look at my other review. Here is the breakdown of why Raw 2 gets an 8/10:

Controls 8/10

The controls from Raw 1 return, but without the cheap AI to always mess up your grapples. It has SIM controls, and very nice ones at that. There's no difference between a weak and strong grapple, but that's probably the only downfall of the grapple system. It's not very updated, but the AI makes the controls of Raw 2 better. Wrestlemania XIX has a better control scheme, but this is still good.

Graphics 10/10

The graphics don't get better than this. Raw 2 uses the Xbox's power to it's fullest and won't disappoint. The graphics are very lifelike and almost all of the animations are good. The entrances are all excellently done. Definately better than XIX.

Story Mode 8/10

The story mode is great on Raw 2. I love how you get to choose what you do. Not to meantion large cards. Much better than XIX, because at least this one has a story mode :) I have a feeling that after a while it may get boring, but that's not the case right now.

Sound 8/10

Raw 2 has the average BGMs. The Custom Soundtrack feature may be used. About the same as XIX WITHOUT custom soundtracks.

Replayability 8/10

When ISN'T a great multiplayer game very replayable? Of course, there's plenty of features to keep you and your friends occupied for at least a couple months. Equals up to XIX.

Overall 8/10

I give this game an 8 because it's got all the features you could EVER need, and a rather nice control scheme. Don't forget, just because I say it's great doesn't mean you'll all like it.

Rent or Buy?

I can NEVER tell you to Buy a game before renting it, because I don't want to be blamed for you wasting your money if you didn't like it. So rent it.
