Dino Crisis 3

"A Fresh Start With A New Console"

Dino Crisis is another successful branch off of the series Resident Evil, both appeared on the original version of Playstation. Its history isn't bad at all, the first game was a smash hit in which you were thrown into a game against Dinosaurs with minimal ammunition, and needed to survive purely on instinct, and will. Dino Crisis 2 took a more action orientated approach, loading people up with guns. Dino Crisis 3 begins in the distant future, where you and a rescue team that goes aboard a ship that disappeared hundreds of years ago, and run into a few.........surprises.

Graphics 9/10
X-Box at its finest. The monstrous creatures are absolutely stunning. Every little detail shines brightly with this, the futuristic weaponry looks real, and so do the people that hold them. The way they move also presents a great deal of reality in its own with realistic movements from characters and enemies, and mind boggling Cut Scenes.

Gameplay 7/10
This is a touchy part, the game mechanics are fun, maneuvering, and fighting, however the camera angles present a problem. Capcom decided to use Resident Evil like angles that slightly move while you move for this game, but it doesn't fit it at all. Resident Evil angles are ok for Resident Evil, simply because its slow paced action, Dino Crisis 3 is fast paced and always on the move, especially when you have to jump with your jet pack a lot during game play and its extremely hard at times to see enemies and because of this you can get hurt pretty easily.

Reply Value 6/10
The reply value is considerably lower since its really just a basic and plain game, but its still a good one. After a while you may get tired of the rooms which all look similar to the last with some few exceptions. The weapons and monsters will keep you glued, and strategy trying to defeat them, especially when the main foe, the computer of the ship, locks you in a room where certain creatures keep appearing till you defeat enough of them.

Overall 7/10
Overall Dino Crisis 3 is a solid game. It has non stop action, with lots of different and magnificent looking creatures and weapons to kill them with. You'll be glued to the TV with trying to beat this game as difficultly is only measured in the way you use strategy.

Rent Or Buy.....?
For people who aren't sure even after this review, rent it for yourself, but if you're a fan of the series, buy. Its just a fun, action packed game presented on one of the graphically best systems ever made.
