"If Jason And Leprechaun Can Tackle Space...So Can Dinosaurs!"

Well, here it is...the long awaited sequel to one of gaming's most beloved Survival-Horror franchises, Dino Crisis 3. The game takes place in the year, 2548...you play as a character named Patrick, a leader of a special-ops force. You are called to duty to obtain information about a six mile long Earth research vessel, named the Ozymandias. Which has suddenly reappeared after a 300-year absence...as you and your team are ready to board, the ship strangely launches an attack on your vessel and blows it to pieces. But thanks to your trusty jet-pack, you and your surviving members make it to the Ozymandias. As you enter...big and nasty surprises await.

Graphics: 9/10

Remarkable and realistic graphics, the Xbox has a lot of power behind it and proves so with this title. The dinosaurs look superb and the lighting effects are beautiful. Cut scenes even go further by enhancing the in-game models to make it even more great. The movements are fluid and rich and the blood splatters gracefully...the only problem I noticed was the shadows. It still has that circle shadow underneath your character at all times, with all the wonderful graphics that surround it why couldn't they add a realistic shadow is beyond me.

Gameplay: 8/10

With the addition of the jet-pack, the gameplay gets a better touch. It is much more faster and action-packed than titles prior...but a severe problem goes with it. That is the awful camera! It always seems to be at the wrong angles at times when you most need it. So when you are about to fire towards an enemy and fly around him to avoid being hurt, it can be a pain. Besides that, the controls are perfect and everything else is cream cheese.

Replay Value: 7/10

Good game, but not much for replay value...sure you can go back and unlock some extra modes and other things. But you probably won't feel like playing it again once you finish it, that is mainly due to the asinine camera.

Overall: 8/10

Sure, the camera can be a pain in the neck...but don't let that stop you from enjoying this rather solid title. If Jason and Leprechaun can tackle space...so can dinosaurs! Capcom tossed in a different element for us to enjoy and I believe they pulled it off. It's like 'Jason X' meets 'Event Horizon' meets 'Jurassic Park', blood, gore, space, and hungry dinosaurs...give it a go! Fans of the previous titles should also enjoy this.
