Freedom Fighters

"Not Just Another Action Game"
Freedom Fighters is one of the latest games from EA. At first, it seems to be just another plain, boring action game. Dive deeper into the game and it turns out to be quite a bit more.
Game Play - Freedom Fighters isn't the action game I bet you were expecting. It definitely has a fast-paced shooter style to it, but the game also forces people to implicate teamwork into their strategy. How so? Well, as the name suggests, you control a group of freedom fighters wherein you must use strategy and teamwork to stay alive. I have no real problems with the gameplay. There are of course some faults, but nothing to major here that would make you cringe. The camera works like magic. The only bad part, it gets messed up when you're inside buildings. The controls are just fine, very similar to Halo. The interesting part are the A, B, X, and Y buttons. They are used for ordering around your crew of freedom fighters. If that seems a little awkward at first, trust me, it works just fine.
Overall - Solid Game Play with smooth controls and alright cameras.
Sound/Music - I never have any problems with sounds and such in games and this game is no exception. The voice acting is nice, even though the mouths don't move, and all the right gun sounds and explosions can be heard. I really enjoyed the music, at certain times, it'll bust in with a patriotic orchestrated tune that really adds to the feel of the game.
Overall - Great music and great sound effects.
Graphics/Visuals - Nice graphics. That about sums up this department. The lighting is fine (for the Xbox at least), and the models are pretty smooth with a nice amount of detail. The fire actually looks real and the colors and environments suit the game's story.
Overall - Nice graphics.
Buy/Rent - I suggest that you buy this game. Yes, it's that good. Don't get me wrong though, don't expect a crazy, Halo-type game, but don't expect a laid-back one either. This game blends just the right amount of strategy, action, and difficulty to hook anyone.
Replay Value - Ehhh... not very much. Possibly one of the reasons why you might want to rent the game first. Nothing new is opened after completing the game. The multi player is alright, but I really wish they would've added a co-op.
Overall - Not much replay value.
All in all, Freedom Fighters is a solid game for the Xbox. Too bad it's not exclusive.
