Sega GT 2002
Review by cazwik1
"Wow, Simply Amazing"
Story - NA/10 - There is no real story in Sega GT 2002. Its the same as all other race games. Win the races, and then you get money. With that money, get better cars, get mods to the cars, and then you race harder races. The only type of storyline there is, is when you have to beat license tests to advance to harder races. Your quest in this game is to become the number one racer in the world.
Graphics - 10/10 - The Xbox displays its superior graphics once again. The graphics in this game are the best graphics out there. The wonderful detail in each and every car is amazing. The courses are beautiful, and there are even people that cheer for you in the sounds. (Its kind of funny actually). Sometimes I get so into the game that i actually think I am driving. There is no damage displayed on the cars, which is a bummer, but I can live without that. Other than that, its the best graphics I have seen on a racing game.
Sound - 10/10 - The sound in this game is... wow. There is no other way to describe it. However I will try. The sounds of the engines are exact. You can tell the difference between the Ford GT Concept and the Lotus Exige. You can tell the difference between the Camaro and the Skyline. The tires squeal underneath your car, and when you hit a wall or car, you can hear it hit. The fact that the surroundings sounds are affected by you is very cool. You can turn the engine and sound effects volume up and down if they get annoying. (They won't). The music in this game is very cool. There are two soundtracks so that you wont get bored easy. You can also have a custom soundtrack. You can change the music and song anytime you want during a race by simply pausing and pressing 'Y'. The music can also be used as a 'Musical Stopwatch' when you are doing License races.
Control - 10/10 - The control in this game is pretty freaking cool. Cars that tend to slide in real life, slide in this game. Cars that are notorious in real life for kicking ass at control and traction, handle real well in the game. Cars can also be modded to be have better traction and better handling. You can also modify (at no cost) the suspension, how touchy the car is, etc... I don't know if that is the exact terms as I am not much of a car person.
Cars - 10/10 - I usually don't have this category in reviews, but then again, not all reviews I do have cars in it. There are so many cars in this game. Both that you can win and buy. Here are some noteables. Camaro, Charger, Chevelle, Skyline series, Jaguar E Type, Ford GT40, 90, Concept, and the Lotus Elise and Exige. These are just a few of the great cars. You would have to get this game to see all the cars. Also, after races, they tell you a brief history of the car you are currently using. I found some of these facts interesting and thought it was a cool little aspect of the game.
Multiplayer - 10/10 - Me and my brother have enjoyed many hours of playing this game together. Playing multiplayer is a blast. It adds a little challenge to the game and gives you the added bonus of playing chicken.
Replayability- 10/10 - There are many different things that you can do in this game. There are different cars you can race with and different mods that you can use. Also, there is a thing called chronicle mode in which you unlock other cars. Time Attack is another feature in which you can unlock new items (New Tracks)
Overall - 10/10 - There is no competition between this game and GT3. This game blows GT3 out of the water. I am not a fanboy, just a person that enjoys this game a lot.
