Kakuto Chojin
Review by Darkgunblade
"this game was a waste"
Well, I was so dissapointed in this game I made an account just to review this thing. This game was a waste of time, money and I think my I.Q went down atleast ten points, but enoug rambling, lets get down to buisiness.
GRAPHICS: 7/10,
I have to say this is the best category out of the bunch. The character designs were great,(besides the fact that Roxy looks like a Britteney spears reject) the alternate costumes were lacking, but I must admit that the stages were beutiful. The particle affects of the snow, and rain, and the wet rooftop were just superb. My only complaint is that the designers went just a LITTLE overboard with the shininess of the characters. I swear, it looks like they were laminated and rubbed down with oil. Reiji being a good example.
Sound: 2/10
Good god, this game is the KING of Butt rock. I think ONe of the songs had actual lyrics to it, bnut they could have been written by my 5 year old nephew. The whole sound track is that tired old Techno, with a mix of Hard rock(not a good combo). When a kick or punch is landed, it sounds like one of those old kung-fu Movies, just with better graphics. To be blunt, the sound sucked.
Gameplay: 2/10
They tried, they failed.....miserably.
It looks like they TRIED to make a Tekken Clone, and then they made these horrable moves and I have to say that What they say is capoera, is NOT capoera. That being said, lets move on. And it was a chore to get the Chojin versions of the characters.
Story: 5/10
Ok. I wont Go deep into the story, since this IS a fighting game, and Spoilers are not allowed, but I will say this, The story mode was still lacking, even for a fighting game, I mean, atleast SCII had a descent storyline
Controls: 1/10
Jesus! The controls in this game are Horrible, horrendous, and just plain sucks. The block button is a trigger, There are Two ways to run, one using the L-trigger, and one tapping the D-pad twice. They could have atleast use a familiar model for the controls, god, even MK controls would have been better than this.
Fun Factor: 1/10
This game is repetitive, boring, and I thing I fell asleep at about 10:00 Playing this game. The unlockables are few and far between,(3 of them to be exact). and I wold have to say RENT THIS GAME: DO NOT BUY IT. No! Scratch that! Take a five dollar bill and set it aflame. Weather you rent it, or burn your money, your still accomplishing the same thing.
That's all folks!
