Improvements......but not much

After playing both on the PS2 and beating them, Now a year later I'm having a blast playing them all over again. Why? Custom Soundtracks. It adds a ton of value to the already awesome game. But, there are some lows. Same Design, Same missions, Same people, Same weapons, it is the same. If only they could have added a little something called missions, Or expanded the city's a little more then it would be better.

GRAPHICS

The Graphics are still a little cartoonish looking. But, The new lighting effects and improved looking characters make it great. When your car catches fire it actually looks like fire this time! There are times when everything looks too blurry to really see anything at all. Some of the Peds don't look as well done as Tommy and the others do. At other times, when your changing custom tracks, the game skips.

SOUND

As before the sound is awesome. It seems like they have added more realistic sounds to some weapons. As before, The cars crashing into cars/people/whatnot is good. I'm not disappointed. Only one problem is with the ped glitch there is no sound at all. Nobody speaks at all, and that sucks.

CONTROL

The Xbox controller feels way better than the PS2's. You can be the lazy person you are or dreamed of with the Xbox Controller. For example, looking backwards or sideways from your car is as easy as tilting the control stick down, left and right. Acceleration some how feels better with the R trigger than pressing the X button. My only beef is sometimes pressing accelerate rather than brake. (which is the L trigger and B button)

VALUE

If you've played them on PS2, you'll probably be playing them more than you did. Only one problem, the glitches. Some glitches are gone while others aren't and there are new ones. I've had the super cop glitch, the ped glitch, and tons of others. They could've tried to fix these glitches before releasing the double pack. But the faster loading times sort of make up for some of them.

BOTTOM LINE

These new Xbox versions are improvements, but not by much. The glitches and basically the same games gets this a 9/10. Rockstar could have put in some new missions or another part to Vice City or Liberty City come on! But it has the same game and some major differences that really matter. Faster Load times, Custom Soundtracks, Less glitches (for the most part), and better graphics are the improvements. So go out and play it again!
