"A video game of yesterday but with good graphics!"

Inside pitch 2003 is a game that falls short in many ways but if your a baseball fan and already own one of the better baseball games put out in 2003 then it's worth a rent or even a buy if you can get it cheap enough. The games like going back in the way back machine in terms of total play options being fantasy draft, season mode, create player and they even throw in a cool create player/train player option but be noted the bigest thing that holds this game back is being no franchise option not even a continuing season option when you finish a season which makes you have to go for the win it all that season. You can trade players and it even gives you a trade override option if the computer won't give you what you want but the good thing is that you can let the computer decide so as to make it a bit challenging trade wise as to if it will make the trade you want. Overall the games fun and has a somewhat decent replay value due to the fantasy draft option and the stadiums are the best I have seen when compared to the games of 2003 but other then that it's only fun if you don't mind playing one season then starting fresh which is way behind the times and can be compared with Ken Griffey Jr's slugfest options other then leaps in bounds in graphics. I do enjoy the sound track option which lets you add songs you like to the game.

Gamplay:
As has been said very High Heat like but I think it's better because it has added a few options and it seem to work better overall. Batting can be too easy at times but for the most part it goes both ways. As for fielding? Some have complained about the dive option but I find fielding very easy in this game.

Graphics:
The best stadiums I have ever seem and the players look pretty good but some look to much alike. The crowd is good and bad. Good because not evey game is a sell out but bad because most games look like a good trun out if you are a expos fan.

Sound:
When you hit the ball it sounds like someone pounded a block of wood on the ground and on a HR it sounds like you pounded the wood harder! The crowed is a very mild bunch of people but evey so often they cheer if something good happens. I will note that the play by play is the best part of then game because at least they seem like there watching the game being played and have some smarts to them.

It's not a bad game and you might have a bit of fun as for online play I can't say cause I don't have it but if you got some money to spend and find this game cheap then buy.
