"A real review of Kill Switch"
Don't listen to ANY of the reviews you'll find online, they're probably written by people who whine about 50 cals on Rainbow Six 3. Here's the real scoop on KILL SWITCH.
Graphics-
Up to par with basically every other Xbox game. Decent, nothing special.
Gameplay-
This game is the SHIZNIT, ok?! Yeah the take cover, take aim, take over takes no thought - but thats the point isn't it? This game wasn't made for the Ghost Recon addicts out there. You aren't camping out in a bush for six hours hoping the other guys will get bored and go looking for you. You're blasting everything that moves and looking good doing it in your home made Solid Snake costume!!!! Hide behind boxes, walls, barrels, ANYTHING you can find, take aim, and let God sort 'em out.
Controls-
The controls are ok.. Could have been better laid out, I found myself only using left trigger and right trigger most of the game, and damn my arm is sore after the last three hours.. Which brings me to my next point.
Length-
This is probably one of the shortest games I've ever played for any system, and one of the easiest. Even on hard mode it took me only 4 hours to beat, which is including a dozen times I had to restart levels, and washroom breaks, and my girlfriend making me go to the store for cigarettes.
Story-
Uh.. You're a human puppet, and an evil dude is controlling you through use of a neural link. Then this chick takes control of you. Then the link is removed, and the main character has control of himself again. You save the world from a nuke. The end. Its an 80's action movie.
Sound-
Nice sounds. Sounds just like every other Xbox game with guns and terrorists screaming when you flashbang them. Nothing special here either.
Replayability-
I don't know if I'll play it too much more. I just rented it. I'll probably beat it a couple more times on hard mode before I return it, and rent it again sometime. But I'm not going to buy it - I don't recommend you do either.
Overall-
This is a REALLY fun game if you rent it. Play it through, its just wanton violence and neverending gunplay. A real nice change from so-called ''realistic'' games like Rainbow Six 3 and Ghost Recon where you camp like little pansies all day long. This is a game for beer-drinking pot-smoking guys that like guns and shooting people with them. If you fit the criteria, rent the game. You won't be disappointed. If you like Tom Clancy games or legal drama movies, don't bother.
