Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II

"PSO is fun but......."

This Review Is On The Offline aspect of the game,I have not play the Online part yet(I dont feel my level is high enough and Im cheap)

GAMEPLAY(8)

Well when I was looking to buy the game I was wondering if it was worth it if I didnt go online. The answer is yes I find it to be a great game. Sometimes I get this ''all alone'' feeling while I play it(if youev played Half Life then you probably know what I mean)its scary but fun at the same time. This game is golden. But I usually have to play the same stages over and over again so it gets repeative. The one thing I HATE about it though is you cannot save what stage you are on. Example one level is Cave well there are 3 or 4 Acts of this stage and it takes many hours to get to the boss(by then I am tried and just want to give it a break) but if I turn the Xbox off I will have to start all over again at the begining of the stage. So I find myself leaving the Xbox on(which I dont want to do and is not ''healthy'' for the Xbox). Also I would recommend the FPS Master Controller for this game.

CONTROL(10)

The FPS controller is made for this game so well,if there was any problems this makes up for them. I mean if you the slightest interest in the game this controller ROCKS. Its alot easyer on the hands. But if you dont want to shell out an extra 30 smackers. The S fits this game 2nd best.

GRAPHICS(8)

You can tell(specially episode 1) that this was a dreamcast game. But for me I simply dont care. The graphics have a simi cel-shaded look to them. I like them. You can tell that Sega(back in the day)spent alot of time,money,and effert into the graphics.

Value(10)

New Content on live,both episodes,tonz weapons,quests,everything. Youll just get tierd of the game before you run out of stuff to do. Youll find yourself get sick of this game and stop or a while(a month or so)then on rainy day decide to pick it up and play it.

CLOSING COMMENTS

I love this game(although I dont play it all the time). Its something to do when you have alot of time on your hands. This is a game you put 100s of hours into. I bought this game used for 12 dollars and its worth every pennie.
