"I had high hopes for this game, that were let down..."

Inside Pitch 2003 was without a doubt the worst baseball video game I have ever played. Even though the graphics were not really that bad, the game play controls and replay ability were extremely tedious and without a doubt caused me to never play inside pitch 2003 again. Here is my reflection on why this game was an extreme disappointment…

Graphics: 7/10

Hey what more can I say, the graphics really were what I was expecting from this game. They were definitely up to the 2003 standard, and are pretty much considered average for the 2004 standard today. The real reason the graphics were good was because the players had sort of the same facial expression and even the same facial hair! Also the stadiums were realistic and so were each individual player's bating stances looked alike too. So all in all the graphics was the best thing about this game hands down.

Game Play: 4/10

this game is like all other baseball games around. This game is a good, but average game. It has many options for you to basically do what you want, but the options are not any better than all of the other baseball games around. The option that seemed most unique and had the most fun factor was probably championship challenges where you can replay classic moments in historic games from the 2002 baseball season. The game has many areas (like tutorials) that show you how to play, the controls excreta. With all of this in mind I would give this section a 4/10.

Graphics 8/10

the graphics have a unique sense to them with realistic character faces, and great stadium looks. The graphics are a great add on to this average game. The best part of the graphics are the batting stances and swings, the pitches a certain pitcher can throw. And probably the stadium looks, and fans. The graphics are the part of the game that keeps you playing and not wanting to put the game away. All of the other factors are average and can (and will) bore you very easily.

Controls 5/10

the controls are just another one of the very tedious part of Inside Pitch 2003. The only semi-good thing good about the controls is that they are not very hard to get used to. (Like some other baseball games I have played) Basically there is not a lot to say about the controls except they are easy to get used to.

Overall 4/10

all and all this game will soon end up away for good. The average style just cant be accepted and will soon have you sleeping playing the game. When I first bought the game I was very excited to get it, because one of my favorite players, Nomar Garciapara was the sponsor. I think he obliviously made a gigantic mistake sponsoring this game, and should sue the company that made Inside Pitch 2003 for making him look bad.. I brought it home and played three games it was so average, and boring I put it straight away, and have not played it sense then.

Buy or Rent: Rent

Because of the games tediousness, I would 100 percent say rent. The game was an embarrassment and a bore. I thought it was average, and did not have uniqueness or any special extras to wow me. (And probably you.) If you want a basic average game and are looking to waste 50 dollars on an average game then be my guess. This game will have you sleeping because of its game play, controls and all and all fun factor.
