"A very underrated game."

Goblin Commander is the only RTS on a console since the Super Nintendo. It has a big title to uplive, if I might say. I don't think anyone likes RTS more than me, so when I heard this game just came out, I just HAD to go buy it, yes, I'm a bit weird. But, I saw the $30.00 price tag, and I couldn't let that deal go. Anyways, this game is good, very good.

Gameplay... 10/10
I think the workers did one thing perfect in this game, they made it very, very compatible on the system controllers. The game couldn't floq any smoother. Also, this game is simple. All you need is money and souls, nothing more, nothing less. You have you basic turrets and you basic units and viola! a great RTS. Well anyways, you have five different clans in this game. I don't remember all the goblin-esque names, but I do know that they add a lot of variety rather than just one race and a bunch of units. You just can't have any same battles when you can pick from five different clans, oh the possibilies...

Graphics... 8/10
Well, this game won't be getting any nominations for best graphics any time soon, but they're serviceable. After playing Morrowind I can stand to have a tad sub-par graphics. Although, the graphics do not bring down the game in any way. I actually think that Real Time Strategy games don't need awesome graphics. That's why I still play StarCraft and Age of Empires, which are 2d, by the way.

Sound... 6/10
It has it's normal grunts and normal and sword clangs. I don't know what else you would need. Just be happy that it isn't silent, heh.

Multiplayer compatibility... 9/10
Well, there isn't any online support folks, yes, I'm dissapointed too. But, the split screen mode is enough for me. The maps are very colorful and vibrant, and at the same time, they are laid out with the most strategic ideas in mind. There isn't only one path/way to attack your foe, but rather a more open-ended approach. It's a little awkward seeing the other person's town in split screen, but you'll get over that.

Story... 7/10
In the land of Ogriss...huh? Ogriss? Yes. That's right. Ogriss. The old wizard died and you must unite the clans. The story thinker-upper must be a goblin.

Overall presentation... 9/10
I'm sure there are a few little much things *cough* online */cough* that they could have done to make the game better, but this game does manage to be a good RTS and will always be one of my favorites.

Rent or Buy?
Rent if you are unsure if it's worth it.
Buy if you even remotely like Real Time Strategy Games.
