"Rockstar hits yet another homerun"

Graphics: 9/10

-As I have read in several of the other reviews done on this game from several different media sources some people weren't too pleased with the grainy graphics that this game sports. How I do have to say that the old grainy film look gives it the taste of the old spaghetti westerns and even some of the westerns from the more semi-modern era that were made famous by Clint Eastwood & The Duke. Causing it to add more to the overall ambiance of the game.

Sound: 8/10

-While I did get sort of a cheesy 'Kill Bill' soundtrack fill to some of the songs during the game...for the most part the in game soundtrack help create tension in certain parts of the game. The sound effects were superb but the voice tracking for the enemies during fights could have used more the few lines given to them.

Game play / Control: 9/10

-The controls were good and very smooth but after a few short hours of first beginning to play my hands ached from having to make use of every button. But after a quick break I grew accustomed to the control style and ended up enjoying it a great deal.

Overall:

-Overall the game was yet another top notch venture from Rockstar. I don't quite know why the manage to surprise me each time they release a new game. But they are certainly making themselves a notch as a top dog on the gaming front. The game itself could have been a little longer and maybe a few more twists and turns to the story...also I think I would have preferred to have traveled from place to place rather than being presented with more of a level shoot 'em up but honestly I have no serious complaints about the game as a whole.

Replay Value:

-With a decent multi-player system and several different unlock able items I definitely feel that Rockstar has made a great game for playing through a couple of times...so I give it Above Average Replay Value

Rent or Buy:

-Avid gamers who play a game for several hours on end or gamers who aren't sure about the game should find a good video rental place where you can rent this game for around a week (Blockbuster, Movie Gallery, etc) and you'll have everything done.

-Players who like to take their time with a game or completion driven mad men need to go ahead and plop down the cash at their nearest store and add this game to their collection.
