Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Review by Father Nebro
"If you loved Jedi Outcast, then you'll love this too."
Very similar to Jedi Outcast, but I believe that the few differences make it much better. In the beginning you get to choose your characters species, costume and lightsaber color. You must use your lightsaber skills and your ever-growing force powers to put a stop to the dark jedi who have not yet given up on universal domination. The Star Wars story never changes...EVER!
Game-play:
The most important part of a game. Who cares about graphics if the game-play is crap cough>HALO<cough. Anyway, the game-play is great, you'll get used to the controls after an hour...maybe less...maybe a bit more(if you're stupid). There are main quest missions, side quest missions (which i recommend doing all of them)and multi player.
Multi-Player:
All the replay value is right here fat ladies and pimply gentlemen. All you need are 2 words to describe it, "SO GOOD." You can choose from your favorite characters, as well as the characters from the game itself. You also get to choose your lightsaber style...that's right my hideous friends. If you want to use dual lightsabers or a double bladed lightsaber...GO AHEAD. I also forgot to mention, about a quarter of the way through the actual game, you get to choose your style of lightsaber. Would it be a spoiler if I told you that you lose the lightsaber before you get the new one?
Graphics:
While not THAT important, the graphics are not shabby at all. I don't know what else to say on the matter since I don't really give a damn about graphics. Don't get me wrong, I own all three next generation systems, so if there's a multi-platform game that has better graphics on one system, I'm gonna get the one with better graphics, I love run on sentences don't you, I think they're great.
Replay Value:
Simply stated and already stated, it's all in the multi-player.
Cost:
This game is currently going for $30-$40, and I believe it's worthy of purchasing. If you're not a hardcore gamer, it should keep you busy for about a week, much longer if you get hooked on multi-player like I did.
The bottom line:
If you own Xbox...just get it...What are you sitting here and reading this for...GO GET IT!!! DO IT!!!
