"Sets the sub-standard for mediocrity"

Introduction: I was browsing through my local gamestop looking to pick up something to pass the time with. As I was strolling through the x-box section I noticed tucked behind another game (now i see why) Driver 3. Thinking of how grand the first one was I bought the game immediately without a thought (which quickly became one of my worst purchases ever as I would soon discover tragically) and rushed home quickly expecting a quality game. Unfortunately a quality game was not what I recieved but a total utter piece of crap.

Graphics (9)
Probably the only good thing about this game. The graphics are pretty awesome. The car models look incredible. Unfortunately everything else looks pretty blah. However the worst is yet to come...

Sound (2)
There was sound? I hardly noticed. There was some strange 70's shaft music I heard in the background. Once again the cars sounded nice but everything else was just blahness.

Story (n/a)
Honestly I didn't even know what the story was about nor do I care, therefore I won't even bother to rate it, though im sure it was lackadaisical at best.

Gameplay/Controls (1)
I played this game for all of an hour if that. As soon as I turned it on I knew it was destined for the trash can. Tanner moved around like some kind of mental patient and the car handling is just plain awful, simple as that. The gameplay is, in one word, subpar, and thats being totally generous. The controls were just horrid. I have nothing good to say about this atrocity other than the great graphics. Such potential gone to waste. What could have been great instead turned into the disappointment of the millenium.

Final Score (1)
Heed my advice. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! Save your money and go buy something thats actually good, which is pretty much anything other than this. I think I've had more fun with Superman 64 than this waste of a perfectly good cd. I'll see you all in the funny papers...
