"Let there be light on this rental."

WOW, it's been a while since we have seen a Rpg on the Xbox. Yes, and we are not talking about those Morrowind Rpgs either. Sudeki is a mix between Kingdom Hearts (Ps2) and KoTOR (Xbox).

Graphics:(8) Simply, breath taking this has to be one of the best Rpgs graphic wise. I hear people complaining about how generic everything is, well that is clearly wrong. First, the lighting in the game is done very well. For example, when you are walking under and tree your shadow darkens, or when you are by the water the sun hits it and it glistens. The graphics were done really well. Now, with all the said and done. I'm going to have to deduct two points for character design. There not all that great, it's like they tried to make Anime style characters and failed. There not anything special to look at. Although not bad, they are the worst I've seen on the Xbox. The spells\summons are done really well to. Do not get this confused with Final Fantasy Summons because you will be disappointed. The way they did it resembles kind of Greek gods. None the less I think it's great, they had brought something new to the table. Unlike the traditional copying of summons and names like Final Fantasy. If you have HdTv\flat screen with Scable, this game is going to look really good. I myself do not own a Hdtv only a flat screen with Scable, but let me tell you it looks amazing. So you will be in for some real eye candy.

Sound (10) Amazingly done, one of the best sounding rpgs of our time. From the noisy towns to the attacking villains everything is done correct. What I thought was really nice, was when you get your armor when you walk it clinks and clanks very cool idea to do that. There's not really to much to elaborate here. One suggestion though, With 5.1 you will hear everything that normal speakers do not pick up. Like the birds in the backgrounds. This deserves best sounding Rpg of 2004.

Gameplay:(8) You either love the battle system or you hate it. This is not your traditional turn base Rpg game. This is a Action Rpg which means it's all done in real time. You use only X and A to preform combos. It has real simplistic controls. What is really cool is that there is a first person view for some characters. Very ingenious idea to incorporate Fps in a Rpg. The only problem I could find with the controls is that the camera is not always your best friend. This creates a problem for your compass. Sometimes your compass would be so out of wack that you, will get lost. So a word of advise do not trust your compass always. Another problem with the camera is when you are doing a puzzle, talk about tight squeeze the camera hugs you so much, when you are performing an action that sometimes it gets stuck and you have to move your character around. It's a big annoyance at times. Other then that I see no other problems with the game play mechanics. On to the customization of the game. This is where game play really kicks in. You have to upgrade your stats and equipment all the time. The thing with this game is if you do not have good equipment or good stats chances are you are going to be dying a lot of the time. The customization is not really in depth you have slots on your armor and weapons, and you go to a blacksmith to add these things called runes. Runes upgrade various stats such as defense offensive and hit points. That about cuts it for game play.

Story:(8) Blah, I've seen better, actually I've seen a lot better. Yet, again save the world from the almighty darkness of evil. The story is nothing great at all. Very cliche if I do say so myself. Side quest WHAT SIDE QUEST! There aren't any really. Unless you like finding treasure chest in the most easy to find spots, then I could suppose you can call that a side quest. The Rpg is linear, there is nothing else interesting if you stray from your main goal. If you like leveling up then your time is going to be wasted doing that. There are no spectacular ultimate weapons that you get only from the most tedious task. There are ultimate weapons but there easy to get and not worth spending the time on them. There is the cool second world that you get to later in the game, but there is nothing unique that sets this apart from other Rpgs.

Replay:(1) There's no replay value so don't even waste your time doing the game all over. Like I said, there are no ultimate weapons or side quest. The only other reason I could see you playing the game. Is to get to the highest achieved level possible, and that would be boring.

Final Verdict,(7/10) Rent it, it's a great rental game beat it in one or two days then bring it back. Not worth to buy though.
