Red Dead Revolver
Review by theone1batman
"It's good to finally see a Blue/Yellow Lively Revolver."
This is the first Western style game I have ever seen. Which is the general premise of the game, shoot to kill, government bounties, almost no laws and gold rush. It seemed like a cheesy game to me at first. I don't really like western movies or six shooters or most of the Civil War. This game though I loved.
This is one of the most fun games I have ever played. It's quite glitchy though, you don't have much freedom to do what you want and I didn't like the shooting system at first. The shooting style very simular to Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell if you have ever played that. What I really like about the game is that though it doesn't give you freedom in the level to go where you really want it allows you to kill all the bad guys you want. Not having to save killing them for something else. The game gets hard at times making you repeat a lot of what you just did. Which gets really annoying. That is probably the most efficient way to do it though. You switch characters every bunch of levels, which is pretty cool and they all have special gun tricks which is really cool.
Red Dead Revolver is a story about revenge. A boy is growing up and learning how to shoot in the old west when his father is attacked and killed by a man in green. When you see your fathers dead body you shoot the man's arm off and escape. Your father also had a special pistol which there were two of in the world the other was given to his gold partner. So Red (thats the character's name hence the of the game) is trying to find the man who killed him and take revenge on the person responsible.
This is an upper platform game. Meaning that the graphics are typically not a problem. It is the same for this game. Though it can get a little glitchy lookin' but for the most part the graphics are beautiful. They add in the western style so they make it look like the older movies in some of the cinemas. I also love this games music. Nothing better than old west music (and I like rap so this coming from me means a lot.)
The storyline play of this game will take you about 12-24 hours to complete. The bounty mode and showdown stuff will keep you entertained for quite a while. I love to complete games so I'm still working on all of it.
Overall this game is worth buying if you like to complete games if you don't then I would recommend renting it. It is a really fun game but you could do it in 5 days or something.
