RLH: Run Like Hell
Review by Fox609
"Meh.."
This game wasn't the best I've played, but it wasn't the worst either. You might want to skip this one, kiddies.
Gameplay: The controls remind me somewhat of Resident evil. You move with the right thumb-stick, rotate the camera with the left one (not that you could do that in RE), pull the right trigger & press A to fire.. blah blah blah. This is more or less your standard survival horror game. Kill monsters, get this item, yada yada yada. There are no difficulty options for this game, which may be a blessing to some, but that takes down the replay value a lot. The weapons are ok. You can upgrade them with various chips scattered throughout the game. The damage chips seem to stop in power after three-five chips. You'll want to spread your damage chips around with your weapons. I don't think there are enough to fill just one weapon up. Not that it matters. I tested out the full damage cheats, which should instantly floor a baddie.. I mean, look at all those empty slots. Nope.. it takes a couple of clips, if not more from your standard weapon.
Story: Nick Connors returns to his space station home to find that it's been overrun by aliens. Most of the people are either dead or missing, including his wife. Nick teams up with a small group of survivors to.. well.. survive & find his spouse.
Graphics & Sound: The developers went along with the graphical standard for this generation or what I like to call the lazy approach. They're not bad, but they could be so much better! Another point against the game is that it claims on the back that it supports the custom soundtrack option. LIES! This option is nowhere to be found.
Replay Value: There is none.. You beat it, that's it.
Final Verdict: This game has it's moments, good and bad. It's less than ten bucks, so if you want to play it you could just buy it, beat it & return it for your money. Methinks you'll play this once & only once.
