Army Men: Sarge's War

"Army Men: Sarge's Heroes is great!"

This is a great game. It shouldn't be over looked, even if it got low reviews. Rent it and see!

Story: 8/10

It begins with Plastro attacking Green Nation like usual. Sarge and the other Green guys beat him off and Plastro and the Greenies decide a peace is in order. However, Sarge is out rescuing a lost Recon Squad during the ceremonies, and a doomsday device detonates, killing high ranking green and tan officials, Sarge's Squad, his girlfriend Vikki, the Green commander Colonel Grimm, and Plastro! Only one man...er toy, is responsible for this: Renegade Tan Colonel Malice and his renegade troops!

Gameplay: 7/10

At the beginning of the game, the controls are hard to handle and until you get used to them you find yourself running around shooting like a chicken with it's head cut off! With a gun, that is. But they're easy to get used to. You can man turrets, therea are a variety of cool weapons and enemies (and their vehicles). The Ally and Enemy AI isn't revolutionary, but enemies and allies take cover, charge as one group, and hide when they reload. Missions are unique and fun, and there are a lot of Medals to earn and Secondary objectives to complete. Oh yeah. When you lose health, you get parts of you shot off and you can shoot parts of enemies off! If you shoot their heads off but don't kill them they run around and shoot EVERYTHING (including their buddies) for a few seconds. Fun, eh?

Sound: 7/10

Sound is great. Explosions happen around you as enemies and allies shoot and scream. Voice acting is pretty good, but sometimes is a little melodramatic or sub-par.

Graphics:

Graphics aren't revolutionary but they're good. There are a couple glitches with shadows and one or two with graphics but other than that, the graphics are fine.

Multiplayer: 10/10

Multiplayer has 3 modes. One is deathmatch, One is team deatchmatch, and the other is team capture the flag. The maps have spoofy names like Tan at the Gates and Green Hawk Down. XBOX Live is fun because a few people are always on to play with.

Overall: 9/10.

Buy or Rent?

If you're unsure rent it, but if you like shooters and action, buy it!
