Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Review by BettleBoy
"A great game spoiled for being too short"
To start off, this game is a good game, but it was WAY to short. The whole game is too short. First of all, if you are a Harry Potter fan, you will love this game. The storyline is you are a young boy named Harry Potter at Hogwarts School of craft and Wizardry. I honestly have nothing to complain about, except for it's shortness.
Gameplay: 7/10
The Gameplay of this game was alright. It had it's good and bad sides, but to start off with, let's tackle the plus sides of the game first. First of all, the sequence of events in this game is excellent. Everything is nicely told, the event happen in order, and nothing is out of place. You start off in the Burrow, Harry Potter's best friends house. Then you move on to Hogwarts in a flying car. Then you learn some stuff in school, then go down into a secret Chamber to save a young . Another good thing about this game was the AI. The AI characters around you were very smart, and moved around quite good. They also talked to you about things as well. And now to the down sides. To start off, the length of the game was WAY to short. I found myself beating this game in about two hours. There is only seven days in the game, so it's a very fast game. Another thing bad about the gameplay was the lack of being able to go places. There was hardly and places at all you could go back to inside the game. Like for example, The Forest, or The Restricted Section of The Library, but other than that the gameplay was very nicely done.
Graphics: 9/10
There was nothing wrong with the graphics of this game. I thought they were well done, and everything looked just about as real as they could make it. There was one problem with the graphics though. At some points of the game, you would go very close to people and there face would look blurry. So the graphics get a nine.
Sound: 6/10
The sound was not that good. The sounds of this game sounded very fake a lot of the times, and the flying car you take to Hogwarts was horribly wrong. It did not even sound like a car! But the sounds of the wand and the AI was quite crisp.
Replay Value: 2/10
The replay value of this game is horrible! It is a VERY fun game to play one time through, to collect all the cards, to explore the castle and so on, but after that, then what? Nothing, that's what. So the replay value barely gets away with a two.
Buy or Rent?
Rent. Nothing else to say really, except just go rent the game and give it a shot.
