Review by Lcadwallader

"Great for a quick playthrough.."

I played this game about a year and a half ago at my cousins house. Now I borrowed it from a friend and Im moderately impressed with it. I played this game through, while not completeing it 100% I played it enough to get the whole experience out of it.

Graphics 8/10 B
They are nice to look at and the games 2 or 3 cutscenes look superb. I had concerns with the camera though. It messed me up a few times by putting itself behind a wall and not letting me see anything, arrghh.

Story 6/10 C
Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde (sound familiar) steal the golden fruit from the golden fruit tree in Pac-Village. Each of them keep a piece and Pac-Land is going to hell in a handbasket if you dont get them back. You progress through differnet worlds and fight athe ghosts to get the fruit back. Your Goal:Get to Ghost Island and confront Spooky the head ghost.

Sound 8/10 B
This is good. Ranges from cheery upbeat tunes to murky dark songs. The sound effects are average.

Gameplay 8/10A
This game has you going around levels and eating dots spread around the level.
Thank god you dont have to get them all. The levels are usually medium sized.
They incorporate lots of stuff in like bounce pads, switch puzzles and you get moves like Mario style butt bounce and Sonic style rev roll. You can be metal Pac-Man, rollerblade, ice skate, and swim.

The game has its moments. Pushing back the ghost forces in a submarine moving towards Ghost Island. This game can be ridiculously hard due to the bad camera combined with already difficult gap jumping. However, you will be happy when you beat this game, but you probably wont go back and collect all the tokens and fruit unless your a perfectionist.

Replayability 6/10 C+
This is a trade off. There is some good stuff waiting to be unlocked but you will probably not want to go back and find all the tokens used to unlock this stuff in the levels. There is an arcade with Pac-Man, Pac-Attack, Pack-Mania, and Ms. Pac-Man. There is a sound test and a "Museum" which I assume will contain bios and box art for all the Pac-Man games. My advice, try and get the tokens on your frst playthrough.

Overall 7/10
The great gameplay is what this game has going for it, but Pac-Attack is dope too. You should probably rent this first before considering a purchase.
