"I am happy I rented this game because it is good for about a week"

Now first off, I rented this game so maybe I am missing something but here is my review of Burnout 3: Takedown

Story: 2/10

There is pretty muh, no story, all you do is race crash and destroy, and you are supposed to try to get all of the unlockables. I am not counting this as part of my final score since ost racing games have no story, this is no exception.

Graphics: 8/10

The graphics are actually very good, the crashes are extremely satisfying, especially when you do the signature takedowns, but will cover that all in gameplay. Each car has it's own paint job and you can change the color but this is no Need for Speed: Underground 1 or 2. If you look past all the crashes and the medium detail in the cars there is pretty much nothing else, everything else is average, still for the amount of massive destruction in this game everything looks great.

Controls: 10/10

The controls are smooth, when you want to go left it goes left, when you want to go right it goes right, you press A for boost and it's placement there is perfect for your thumb. The gas and brake buttons are the right and left triggers, still perfect. Everything else is like a normal racing game, and some buttons don't even have a use, to not complicate things.

Gameplay: 8/10

Wow, just wow. This game gives you the standard multiplayer modes, and racing mode for single player, but there is crash mode and road rage mode, new for racing games and amazing, there is also time attack mode which pretty much explains itself. Crash mode is pretty much, you picking a vehicle, (only in this mode can you use the heavy class, I think) picking a track and what you do is just drive, try to get boost and money multipliers and things that add money to your final score, then you try to crash into other cars that have no business in racing or getting destroyed (in other words, civilian cars) and then there usually is a chain of destruction, eventually after a few crashes you can press B to blow yourself up and steer which way you fly to cause even more damage. After that there will be a 5 second countdown and then it will count how much money worth of destruction you have caused and give it to you to unlock new cars. Road rage mode is you+destroying the cars that are trying to destroy you+boost and earning it+traffic. It is extremely fun and rarely gets boring, but Crash mode can get boring easily from how much money you need to earn later on to get the other cars, therefore making you doing the same thing on the same map with the same cars. but Road rage is all that and a bag of chips.

Xbox Live: 6/10

Yes playing multiplayer is fun and all, but the things you have to go through. 1. Find a game, not that hard but there aren't that many people online compared to what, like Halo 2, I have been playing online on that and it never gets old with so many friends and new optimatch people, while here there aren't as many. 2. Waiting for people to start the freaken game. 3.Annoying people, there was this one guy that heard himself echo so he started playing around with it saying "you stink" and screaming into the mic, singing some annoying song. Besides that, everything is fine.

Unlockables:9/10

There is a lot to unlock. There are tons of maps, tons of cars. For crash mode alone there is 100 maps, unfortunately it isn't that easy to unlock maps, while unlocking cars is easy and can get bring *cough* Crash mode *cough* or fun like Road Rage. Depends no how patient you are and how unaffected of boredom you are.

Replay value: You decide/10

Read everything above and you decide how much you will play this.

So in conclusion I have to say it is fun but can get boring, Buy or Rent I rented it and had fun but buying it, ummmm I don't know, I would suggest renting it first since you will see how much you like it and you cannot lose if you rent, you will definitely like it when renting it and if you don't like it from there don't buy it, if you love it, then buy it, you can't lose. I will not count this for the final sore either.
