Corvette

"I think this game is trying to kill the Corvette market."

Corvette is a game that came out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of corvettes. As much as I like corvettes I have to say this game SUCKS. Sure it has all the corvettes from the years but I expected more then this piece of crap. Lets see exactly what makes this game's suckiness, shall we?

Game play:
Basically all you do is race on maps only choosing from certain models of corvettes like C1 or C2 or whatever. Not bad right? Dead Wrong. The maps seem cool at first but after awhile you see they are crap. They seem to follow the same 3 patterns over and over with different scenery or you just go on the track backwards. What the hell? Traveling down a map backwards makes almost no difference. Either someone up stairs has no creativity or Chevy didn't pay them enough cause they want to be cheap asses. And then the drivers of your cars…There's like 6 to choose from and they all look like they are from the 80s. And last I checked 50 years extend beyond the 80s. Multiplayer has all the problems the single player does except now your friend has to join in on the suckiness. The only good thing is you get trophies and it isn't even exciting or hard to get them.

Graphics:
Decent at best. Like I said its all tedious. The levels graphics are pretty much crap and it seems to go to the cars. One good thing is you get to paint your car different colors. Now you might think awesome like Need for Speed but its not. It's a SINGLE color and most look like those crappy pastel colors from art class. To make it worse you have NO graphics at all to cover up the stupid colors. Too bad the graphics on the maps aren't good since it actually has decent colors….but then if they made trees a pastel green….

Controls:
The controls are easy enough to master. The problem is the driving part. They didn't do anything to make any of the controls better for the newer corvettes. All 50 years of the cars drive the exact same. What…Isn't 50 years enough time to IMPROVE driving? And they make corners so you have to power slide. Problem? Yep cause I can't seem to powerslide sharp enough to avoid hitting the damn wall and yet the computers can always do it.

Replay Value:
Are you kidding? I can barely play multiplayer for more then a round it gets so boring. If you find replay value in this I'm surprised.

Buy/Rent? – MAYBE rent but only if you are a HUGE fan of corvettes. Or ask me and you can borrow…maybe have it.
