"A halfway decent movie based game"

Story
Blade has returned and this time he has to stop a group of vampires from creating more Daywalkers. Blade II is slightly based on the movie but a lot of things are different. I give story a 7/10

Control
The control takes a little while to get the hang of. You use the left stick to move around which feels a little stiff. The d-pad is used to switch to certain weapons. The right stick is used to attack in directions which means you don't need to be facing an enemy to attack. You can also jump, use your rage and fire your weapon. The only problem is that it's hard to fight sometimes using the right stick. I give control a 8/10

Voice Acting, Sound Effects and Music
The voice acting is decent and the voice actors sometimes sound like the guys from the movie. The sound effects are okay but nothing special. The music is heavy techno and it fits the game well. The music during the cut-scenes is rather good as well. I give voice acting, sound effects and music a 8/10

Gameplay
The game is split up into three story arcs. They take place in different areas like buildings, subway and the sewer. The levels are all fair in size and I wasn't able to beat any of them in under 5 minutes. Most objects in the levels are ineractive. Every level has a specific goal and a subgoal. after beating a stage you see a point total which is made up of how many thinsg you killed and glyphs you picked up. When you get so many points you get new weapons like a shotgun or body armor. The enmies vary for each arc but they are about as bright as rocks and sometimes just stand there but sometimes they gang up on you. On one level I killed almost 300 guys which is an ansane ammount. The game does get a little tedious so it's best to play in short ammounts of time. I give gameplay a 7/10

Replay Value
The game is fairly long but there really isn't any secrets and you will get all of the unlockable items by the time you're halfway through the game. It's a decent rental and an okay buy for a decent price. I give replay value a 2/10

Final Score
I give Blade II a 7/10
