Bruce Lee: Quest of the Dragon
Review by wolverinefan
"I really wish I listened to bad reviews."
Story
A relic from your temple has been stolen and your father has been kidnapped. As Bruce Lee you set out to find the relic and save your father. While I've never seen a Bruce Lee movie, I'm pretty sure they aren't this bad. I give story a 1/10
Control
The control really needs a lot of work. you can move around small 3D areas but you are unable to lock onto anything when you're not in a battle which means you can only smash crates during a battle. Moves are way to easy to pull off and it really makes the game boring. The control is pretty much unresponsive most of the time which is never a good thing for a beat-em up game. I give control a 3/10
Voice Acting, Sound Effects and Music
The voice acting is very cheesy and switches from English to an Asian language during sentances which is a pain since the Asian language isn't translated! The sound effects are horrible. I'm not sure if your enemies make any sounds because all you ever hear is Bruce Lee leting out a lot of grunts. The music is a light techno which just doesn't fit a game like this. The music is also very low, i had it at 100% and rest of the sounds turned down and I could just barely hear it. I give voice acting, sound effects and music a 1/10
Gameplay
Where can a person start with a game like this? First of all the graphics are subpar and I don't usally mention the graphics but when it doesn't look like my punches and kicks are hitting the enemies and when clothing goes through body parts it ruins the whole experience. While the stages are 3D they might as well be 2D because getting stuck on objects during a fight is not a good thing. The levels are bland and boring and it takes way to long for your character to climb stairs. The enemies are really dumb and they will only attack you one at a time and rest of them just stand around waiting for you. of course that might be a good thing when you die after only 5 punches. Every enemies carries coins and you use them to buy new moves, health, power and new belts but do I really need to ask why a master needs to buy skills? you also need to kill EVERY enemy which gets old when you have killed over 200 guys by the second level. The loading times are a little too long and having to load after every battle is annoying. I give gameplay a 1/10
Replay Value
I have no clue how long the game is because I wasn't able to get to the end of the game. There are a couple secrets in the game but not a lot. I give replay value a 1/10
Final Score
I give Bruce Lee: Quest Of The Dragon a 1/10
