"The Future's not the only thing perfect!"

Timesplitters is one of my favorite video game series. Instead of focusing on single player and adding a multiplayer section for the heck of it, Free Radical does the opposite. Although the single player is good, the multiplayer really rakes in the cash. The third one, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, has an improved single player as well as the long awaited, enormously entertaining multiplayer on Xbox Live!

Graphics: 9/10
A slight improvement on the nice and distinctive graphics of Timesplitters 2. Everything seems to flow nicely, and there are nice enormous splashes when a grenade is thrown into a body of water. There's room for improvement, but not much.

Sound: 9/10
Very good sound. You can close your eyes, fire a gun, and say which one it is just by the sound of the bullets! A good soundtrack is there as well, with each tune suiting the single player or multiplayer level. The only downside is Cortez's annoying voice, which you have to hear a lot in the Story Mode.

Gameplay: Single Player: 8/10
A big improvement on TS2's weak Story Mode, but it's not yet up there with the likes of Rainbow Six or other outstanding FPSes.There is a good variety of missions, from visiting an old castle in the early 1900s to exploring a mansion full of zombies in 1994, you'll never get sick of the same thing. Also, there are the Challenge and Arcade League modes, where you can unlock characters. Trust me, you'll always be working on that one challenge over and over again to get one more kill.

Gameplay: Multiplayer: 10/10
The best part of any Timesplitters game, the multiplayer is just amazing. There are over 150 characters to play as in multiplayer, and many more levels to put a smile on your face. It really doesn't get better than seeing the look on your friend's face when you snipe him less than a second before he snipes you. The Xbox Live games are crazy, and really keeps this game alive. Oh, and you can also post and receive custom maps on-line, which is just jaw-dropping. Heck, if I could, I would give the multiplayer 11/10.

Overall: 9/10
Timesplitters: Future Perfect really is perfect. Well, almost perfect, but who cares about single player when you've got the multiplayer with just about endless possibilities?
