"Better than Halo? Yes."

The Timesplitters series is highly underrated, yet one of the best series of all time. There wasn't as much hype as there was for Halo 2, but it's way better.

Story: The story in Future Perfect makes much more sense than the other two. You play as Cortez, a Vin Diesel look-alike, as he travels through time to stop an evil man from taking over the world and living forever. Along the way, you meet and team up with many unique and hilarious people such as a crazy English explorer, a fifteen year old bratty punk girl, and even an in-your-face robot.

Gameplay: This game is packed with different game modes and things to do. It has a great campaign with funny cutscenes, an excellent story, and over 13 levels. This game has almost 40 weapons, from a gravity gun that can pick up items on the ground and throw them, to a hilarious injector that makes people explode. Multiplayer has bots for those poor people who don't have XBOX Live, and 16 maps to play in, along with 14 game modes ranging from deathmatch, to a monkey assistant game, where the guy in last place gets monkeys to help him out.
There's also an improved mapmaker with some new added tile sets like "egyptian", new vehicles, tiles, and the ability to make the map outdoor or indoor, and change the weather. If you have live you can also share maps you made on live, or upload them onto the map share section. Just like in the other 2 Timesplitters games, there is a challenge mode, with things like breaking glass as fast as you can, curling a monkey, shooting the heads off of zombie monkeys, and many more. There is also an arcade mode where you can do various things like assaulting a base crammed with evil gloves, capturing zones from the evil Koozor Mox, and running like crazy from an infected man in a disco suit.

Sound: There are tons and tons of exciting and funny songs, either from TS1,2, or 3. All the characters make their own individual sounds, like quacking, moaning, or squeaking. People now talk when you choose to be them in arcade, and say crazy things like "Someone's pinched me winkles!" and other things like that, and all the gun sounds are amazingly realistic.

Graphics: This game has amazing visuals, realistic textures, and now reloading animations have been added. The explosions and light effects are dazzling, and the animations are smooth. I have one word for the graphics: Wow.

Rent/Buy: BUY! Definitely buy. Renting this game wouldn't give you nearly enough time to even try all the feature this game has.

So, as you can see this is probably one of the best games you'll see for quite a while, so run to your local game seller and pick up a copy of Timesplitters: Future Perfect today!
