Pariah

"Different but still good"
Hello. This is my review on the game Pariah. I would first of all like to say that this game is a FPS (first person shooter) in case you did not know. Now if you do not like these kinds of game then this is not the right game for you. I am a big FPS fan and I must say that I love this game.
Gameplay:
The gameplay in Pariah is great. The controls are easy and don't take any time at all to get use to. But it still might be a little hard for people who are not used to FPS games. The single player is fun as well as the multiplayer. Single player can get a little frustrating at times though.
The really great thing about Pariah though is that you can make your own maps and play in them in multiplayer or on Live. Everything in it is fully customizable from the land formation and whether to the placement of trees and buildings. Once you are done making your new map you can save it on Xbox Live or offline on your Xbox. This custom map system was the reason that I bought this game and trust me it is worth it.
Story:
The story to Pariah definitely was not one of its strong points. I felt that the story to Pariah was just put on there at the last minute. (Taken from back of the case) You are Jack Manson, an outcast doctor with nothing left to lose. When your transport ship is shot down during a routine prisoner transfer, you and your infected patient find yourselves stranded deep within the most vicious prison sectors of a wasteland called Earth.
Graphics & Sound:
The graphics in Pariah are fairly good. They are not at the best that the Xbox is capable of but they are still good. The character models were not very detailed and looked kind of plain.
The sound in this game on the other hand is very good. The gunshots actually sound like real bullets being fired from a real gun. I find that in a lot other games out there that the guns sound like little toy cap guns. There is not much music in Pariah so I can't say that it was good or bad.
Final Recommendation:
I would say that this game is worth the $59.99 brand new. But if you are not a fan of FPS you should go out and rent this game now. There is not a lot of blood and gore in this game so I do not know why Pariah got an M rating. If you don't like a lot of blood and gore then don't worry about this game.
