Review by Muck0 Man

"Alittle too short and basic for today's multiplayer fans..."

Whacked! is a zany game which is based a fictional game show of the same name. On this game show different characters compete for the unknown "Prize?" There are 7 contestants you get to play as each with their own unique story and look.

Graphics:7/10
Very colorful and vivid but people that have grown used to todays standard of Xbox graphics will be a bit disappointed. So expect this game to look the part of a first generation xbox title. All 13 levels are different and cartoony with their own look. But all of the levels feel small and restricted and don't give you a large area to run around. Despite this set back you'll find yourself surprised by the unique levels that the designers have come up with. The characters look amazing and you'll quickly find yourself determining what your favorite one is. The cinemas are great looking and the short "flash-like" commercials can be either very funny or very stupid.

Gameplay:6/10
This game is meant to be played with other people so if you don't have any friends then avoid this title. The single player mode is fun at first but you'll soon realize that your basically doing the same objectives over and over again. All the characters although they look different they have nothing special that sets them apart from other characters. The only real reason to play through it with each character is to see what their prize will be. But this feels more like a chore than an actual experience. Mutiplayer and Live is where this game carries itself. The different game types keep it fun when playing with your friends. There is a big variety of weapons to use in the game and most of them are bizarre. Yoke-a-Matic anyone? Most of the levels have some special strategic thing to aid you in combat. For example one level has you in the back of a moving truck with a police car chasing it. Not only do you have to kill your opponents but also have to avoid being thrown from the vehicle. You can knock your opponent to the edge of the truck and watch him fly off. Levels like these help keep the environments new and feeling fresh.

Story:5/10
7 contestants battle for a secret prize on a game show. Not really the deepest story ever but most of the characters have a short back story that helps form their personalities. Also there is a surprise that occurs at the end of the story that isn't expected unless you pay close attention during the cinemas.

Replay Value:5/10
This game feels great at first but once you beat the single player game there isn't any reason to play it again. You can just use a cheat code to get the rest of the cinemas...trust me, it's not worth going through the game 6 more times. The mutiplayer is where most of the life in this game is but in the end you'll realize this game is past it's prime and there are tons of better mutiplayer games out there.

Rent or Buy: Rent
It's a good game for some two day fun with your friends on the weekend but other than that there is no reason to buy this game even for how cheap it is.
