Capcom Fighting Evolution
Review by EarthStorm
"A good fighting game but definately room for improvement."
The latest fighter Capcom has to offer, but is it really worth its wait? Well the first noticeable entry in this game is the Xbox Live functionality. Start friendly challenges or have bitter rivalries in this addition. It would seem like this could live up to the Snk vs Capcom series but it doesn't. As much as I like this game there is always time to go back to CvsSnk on the Xbox. Roster wise this has a decent amount like every usual fighter. Well let's get to what makes this game.
Graphics
Don't expect a graphics upgrade from the other games this seems as it was made with the same engine as CvsSnk, which is not bad at all. Any game could have awesome graphics but if its not good in the other departments such as Gameplay then it won't be solid. Later on the Gameplay, the graphics go together well since the fact you'll be seeing darkstalkers characters and Street Fighter 3 going at it. You won't be hating on the graphics with this game. All in all the graphics seem well done and worth looking at.

Gameplay
Well it's all good seing your favorite characters in this but not all of them. Ken fans will be dissapointed fo the fact he is not in this but instead a cameo in the background. There are five series here and 4 characters for each one, excluding the 2 secreat characters and 1 character new for this game,so in all 20 characters to choose from. 23 in all this brings up a nice line up but there is alot of room for character lineups that could have been there for a more variation. The fighting part feels right in cases that each character of each respective series stays true to how each original game was played i.e super bars and how you blocked etc. Xbox Live is a very good experience and gets you hooked on challenging others around the world (barely lag). Oh yeah and before you get confused this is not a game where you can switch characters on the fly you just change you who play as after rounds.

Sound/Music
HADOUKEN!!! yeah it's still here baby and ya can't get enough of it, the sounds are maybe touched up a bit but nothing noticeable. It feels like your reliving each series with the name of the moves they so scream out. Music stays true to how Capcom loves doing it with its lounge type music with some hip sounds, some are decent and some you'll love probably. Cool thing is that you can actually listen to classic characters theme songs after ending as that person. So thats preety good in my book, nice stuff going on in this part.

Overall
Very good pickup where the price is right, worth the dough your spewing out. Some may disagree with me but if your a fan of the good ol' capcom then youll be picking this up. For people dying to play more 2d fighters online on Live then look no further and pick this bad boy up. Might as well play this while you wait for other fighters that are soon to come in the future like the SNK titles. Now go out there and have some fun.
