Destroy All Humans!

"Mixed Thoughts"
Destroy all Humans is an adventure single player game. This game has good qualities and some bad ones, the reason why I have mixed thoughts on the game. And let me tell you why...
Game play 10/10 The game play is very fun and destructive. Crypto poses many powers and weapons. Weapons include anal probe, psychokinesis, vaporization ray, an electric gun, DNA extractor, and your ship. Fully destructible environments, and the ability to hypnosis and throw around humans, bovines, chickens, and vehicles makes the game so much more fun. probably one of the best features in the game is the ability to disguise yourself as one of the humans, and tricking them into thinking that one of their own kind is creating genocide. You have the ability to upgrade weapons shields and your psychokinesis powers. The game itself is and can be very addicting, yet challenging at some points.
Computer A.I. 4/10 - Much like the stars in Grand Theft Auto, Destroy all Humans had the same system. There are four buttons. First is a Exclamation Point which means the town folk are weary of your presence. A badge means the police know of your arrival and will shoot at you. A star means the military is after you. And an M means that the majestic, kinetic agents, are hunting you. I have so many mixed feelings on the computer A.I. First I like how the game gets harder as you progress. But I find it gets too had once the majestic get there. Also I have a large complaint about the town folk. While I was doing one of my "destroy everything rampages" I found that the town folk, even in the sight of death, have the thought of going "commando." At some times while their fellow civilians were being slammed into pavement, launched to the moon, and had 2 ton tanks thrown at them, they just stood there or walked slowly out off the block. I was really disappointed with the A.I.
Story 9/10- You are Crypto, a furon alien, sent to planet earth to extract DNA from humans to prolong the cloning of your furon race because the furons lack the genitalia to reproduce. So while you are wrecking havoc on the human race you must take the time to suck the DNA strands, and steal their brains. You later find out that all human beings have furon blood running through their veins. This is essential to know to understand why the majestic have telekinetic powers. As you travel onward through the game your grow stronger, get more powerful weapons, have new objectives with hilarious outcomes, and destroy the human race.
Audio/ Video 7/10 - I was amazed at the visuals- the characters, cut scenes, and environment. It was all beautifully put together. I have no complains at all of the graphics. They were very well rendered. It all looked proportional whether it be from flying in the ship, or running along the ground among the humans.
The audio, however, was just a bit disappointing. While there a lot of dialog, you often find the characters repeating alot of what the other town folk are thinking, which makes the characters lack any sense of set personality. Crypto himself had many witty remarks, and was quite enjoyable to listen to. The sound effects, and music were pretty well put together. No argument there.
Re-playability 9/10 - The game is very fun to play. Much to destroy and many different things to do. The game is frustrating though once the majestic come. You will find yourself frustrated before bored when playing this game.
To buy or Rent? - This is one of the few games that I say is safe to buy before renting. It's comical fun for all teens and older. There is much to destroy, and you will have fun doing it. This definitely a game you should buy for your own collection or a present for some one else.
