Destroy All Humans!

Review by Aniland

"The United States Government has covered this up for too long..."

Story: You are an alien named Crypto 137. Your brother, Crypto 136, was originally the alien who crashed into Roswell, New Mexico in the mid 90's. You are here to continue his mission. He was to harvest the brain stems of humans. These brain stems are filled with Furon, a kind of DNA useful for cloning. As you carry out your missions, the government is on your tail, trying to cover the whole rumor of "aliens" up. You mission is quite simple: Destroy All Humans!

Gameplay: 10/10

The gameplay is extremly innovative; possibly the most innovative game in 2005. You start as Crypto 137, but if you die, you are cloned with your old brain, but a new body (which is, of course, identical). You start out in a cow pen, and you must read their minds. Eventually, you wind up killing the cows, the farmer, the farmer's wife, and everyone else. Once you get through here, you may go freelance. The freelance lets you do what ever you want: Anally probe cows, pick up cars and smash them into a house, disguise yourself as a human, hypnotise people into dancing, Etc. You may also go for a ride in your UFO and blow up buildings, or maybe you feel like abducting that homeless guy on the street corner. The world is your playground, and as you unlock more missions, you unlock new weapons and upgrades, Overall, the gameplay has a ton to offer.

Sound: 10/10

I loved the music and sounds in this game. The screams are realistic, and the people actually have personality! The music is what blew me away. Wow. Just wow. Even though that you cannot use your own custom soundtracks, you have a series of eerie tunes with an "out-of-this-world" twist.

Graphics: 10/10

Great. Wonderful. Amazing. Awesome. Delicious <_<. These are just some of the many words to describe this game's amazing artwork and graphics. The cutscenes and the gameplay are basically the same looking, which is great.

Overall: 10/10

This is one of my favorite games of 2005, along with Mercenaries. Anyone who has the urge to play something out-of-the-ordinary should defiently give this one a try.
