Otogi 2: Immortal Warriors

"An absolutly positively action packed game"

Otogi 2 was an awesome game. I can't comment on the cinematics or story cause it seemed rather boring and long for an action game. But when the gameplay started it was awesome and totally worth a buy for fans of action games mixed with the ability to upgrade your characters.

Gameplay:
Fast and furious gameplay with an insane amount of enemies on the screen at the same time all coming at you. The combos were rather simplistic but with the different characters you won't even notice. Each character with their own uniqueness in fighting and some of the characters have magic others can't use. It is amazingly solid gameplay but like all of this genre it gets a little repetitive especially after you have killed over hundred of the same enemies.

Graphics & Sound:
The graphics were amazing and the enviroments were really well done and stylized and unique. While it had much of the same colors through out the game, it always felt fresh and seemed like a lot of effort was put into it. The sound was good but the music was really slow and dramatic and sometimes didn't suit the frantic action that was on the screen.

Controls:
They were good but sometimes when you jump our fly it feels more like a glitch than a design choice. The fighting is easy and intuitive throughout and with all the characters, but the targeting can get sloppy on you at the worst of times especially.

Creativity:
This games creativity all lies in the design and the unique characters (one of them uses a ships steering wheel as a weapon). It has original levels and the storyline seemed pretty unique although boring and I didn't pay too much attention to it. The fighting is pretty usual for this type of game.

Buy it if you like beat 'em ups with amazing graphics and uniqueness. It is rather short so preferably rent but if you find it for cheap definitley buy it cause it's is an awesome game in the beat 'em up genre. People will hate it if the don't like the same style of action throughout the whole game cause it is after all an abosolutly positively action packed game.
