"Great, but not better than Takedown"

There have been big changes to Burnout this year. Like traffic checking and the crash mode. I personally like traffic checking, but not the new crash mode. Anyway, let's get started.

Graphics 10/10: The graphics are simply amazing. From the awesome new cars in the game to the lighting and environments. The environments are also amazing this year. From seeing the Colosseum to the cool suspended bridges in the mountains. The graphics are just amazing.

Sound 9.1/10: The sound of the cars in the game are amazing, but the soundtrack is a bit lame. You can still use custom soundtracks if you don't like the music anyway. The best part of the sound is definitely the car sounds. Like boosting, whizzing by traffic, engine sounds, the impacts of the crashes, the sounds of pushing your rivals into walls, and all the great stuff that Takedown sounded like. Although the soundtrack is still pretty bad, the car sounds definitely make up for it.

Gameplay 10/10: The gameplay has changed alot, but deep down it's still Burnout. There is no single player mode, so you have to do the World Tour.

Race changes:This year you use the traffic as your weapon. You can get takedowns by shunting other traffic into your rivals. Now traffic checking only works with small things like vans, trucks, and cars. If you try to check a bus or trailer you'll crash. You can still crash into oncoming traffic also. Another addition is crashbreakers in a race. You can crash and press the B button to make your car explode and crash other rivals. Also, your encouraged to do jumps this year. You do this monster jumps off bridges and other things that are in your environment. Also, there's alternate routes in the game. So your rival can take the regular path while you take a off road shortcut to get in front of him.

Crash Mode changes:Now the crash mode is also different this year. Now you have to fill this meter (much like a full tank of boost) to use a crashbreaker. Now when the meter is full you press the B button rapidly to make your car explosion bigger. Other changes include that when you do a jump the wind will affect your car depending on it's weight. Another addition is a target car. If you get the target car into the pile-up you'll gain more money. If you don't get it, your probably not gonna get the gold.

Road Rage changes: Road Rage also had a few changes this year too. The mode starts out with a timer at the top of your screen. Now the game will tell you how many takedowns you need to get some extra time. For example, you start with a thirty second clock. You need three takedowns to get extra time. So you get the three takedowns when the clock is at eleven seconds. So now you get some extra time so they had about fifty seconds onto the clock. So now you have sixty-two seconds on your clock. You keep on getting extra time, but eventually after you get the gold you don't get any more more.

New Modes: There are a few new game modes like traffic attack, which means you try and traffic check as many cars as possible until the clock runs out. Challenge Sheets aren't really a new mode, but if you complete a certain Challenge Sheet, you unlock new cars.

Replay Value 10/10: You can finish the game pretty quickly if your dedicated, but if your like me you want to just play the game at a normal pace. I have put twenty good hours into the game and still not bored. So if you like to hold on to the game as much as possible, just don't finish to quickly. Get to know your environments and stuff like that.

Rent or Buy, Buy: You should definitely buy this game if your into to Burnout. If you want to get into the series just buy Burnout 3: Takedown because it's only twenty dollars.
