Far Cry Instincts

"The best xbox FPS? It just might be!"

Wow... all I can really say is wow. This game blew me away more than I thought it could.

Graphics 10/10
These might possibly be the best xbox graphics on any game I've seen on it. There is tons of foliage/brush. Brilliant textures. Although the character models look claylike there's still nice details on them. The gun models are well done with little details on them such as scuffs and scratches on them. The arms on your characters don't look as good but it doesn't really effect the experience of these amazing graphics.

Gameplay 9/10
The gameplay is really fun. You can be stealthy, you can go all out guns blazing, or a little bit of both. Nice solid run and gun multiplayer that will keep you hooked for hours on end. As well a solid campaign with a variety of weapons at your use. There's also something else unique about this game. It includes feral abilities. You can use feral strength to claw enemies or pick up mounted weapons. You can run really fast,see in the dark and other cool abilities. And a really user friendly fun to use map editor. You can create your own island paradise.

Story 8/10
This is where this game kind of lacks. The story will keep you hooked until the end(won't spoil it) but it's kind of cheesy. Besides that it has a pretty good story with a few twists and turns. You are Jack Carver, who has taken a journalist named Val to Jacutan Islands. When Val takes your jet-ski to go get some research your boat is attacked by mercenaries. You find yourself chasing after Val while dodging mercenaries around a series of islands.

Sound 10/10
Very realistic gunshot sounds and vehicle sounds. This game supports Dolby Digital 5.1. and while I don't have it, it sounds beautiful on my tv's speakers. Very nice jungle noises such as birds,insects and other noises. Even though it has cheesy dialogue,in my opinion it's very well done.

Overall I had and am still having a blast playing Far Cry Instincts and if you like FPS then go out and pick this up!
