Fable: The Lost Chapters

"Good game for the price"

Now then, before I go on, this review is made for the people who have not played the original Fable. If you have, I would recommend the PC version, since there is a good chance of mods being made down the line.

GRAPHICS: 9/10
This game has great graphics. First off, just look at your hero. Over the course of time, if you do not block attacks, your Hero will receive scars all over his body. If you decide to follow the path of magic, you will notice that his hands will glow blue. Towns, landscapes, and other characters look great in the game. The only major issue with graphics is that there are points where the effect of light is too much. It makes some things so bright that they are nearly impossible to see.

GAMEPLAY: 10/10
Easily the best feature of the game. The game allows you to customise your Hero with many different kinds of weapons and armor. You are even allowed to choose which abilities and skills that you would like to upgrade, provided that you have the necessary experience. You can become a great warrior, a powerful mage, or even a thief if you wanted to.

SOUND: 8/10
Although the music is great, it doesn't vary too much. Many music tracks are used repeatedly throughout the game. The sound effects are pretty good, too. Everyone in the world of Albion, except you, talks. However, it seems as if only characters that are involved with quests and sidequests are the only ones who have significant things to say.

GAME LENGTH: 5/10
Nowadays, this should be the most important part of any RPG. This game, however, is incredibly short. Even with the added areas and quests, the game still only clocks in at about 12 hours, with maybe a maximum of 20 hours. Although there is a replay value, it's guaranteed that the restricted areas of Albion will make you bored very quickly. Even though the box and manual say that the game evolves over time, it really doesn't. Your Hero will be very old by the end of the game, while everything else remains the same.
