"Just another review for Stubbs the Zombie, Zeep style."

Well it's been a while since I have gave birth to a review. I thought my days of giving reviews were dead, and long gone. Well I was wrong, and my review days are back from the dead. So I figure why not welcome the dead back, by telling about a game that did the same? Welcome to the review of the game 'Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse.'

Graphics
Let's start out with the basics, graphics. Every game has graphics. Be it a few blocks on a screen knocking a white square back and forth; or a green brain eating zombie; every game has graphics. Now I know this is going to be ugly, but it's time to look Stubbs right in the face. Just try to ignore the rotting flesh, and try not to get within arms reach of him. On the outside, the graphics of this game are fairly good. No they don't look life like, but thats not what they were going for. The fire looks like fire, streets look like streets, and zombies look like zombies. The only thing that I was upset about with the graphics, is when you killed someone. They would lay on the ground for a while, then bam! Turn green and get up. Now there is nothing wrong with this, I just wish they would have put in at least a LITTLE zombification effects into the game. I wanted to watch people turn to zombies.

Sound
Now I am one of those unfortunate few who have never heard the real sound of a zombie cracking his way into some ones skull, so I cant really say if the sounds are life like or not. However, they do seem to sound what I would imagine they sound sound like. One thing I really like about this games sounds are well, the things people say. Most games like this, the enemies get on your nerves cause they say the same thing over and over again. Well with this game, just as you start getting annoyed by what the enemy is saying, you go up against a new rank of enemies! What is so good about this is the fact that with a new rank of enemy, comes new things they say! So you cant really get tired of what enemies say, which is really great. Plus, some of them say some really funny stuff.

Controls
Controls controls controls. Now days it seems everyone is a control freak. Control a zombie, control a zombies head, control a zombies gas, control a zombies hand, control an enemies mind with a zombies hand. When will people stop being control freaks!? But enough about that, let's get onto the game controls. The controls for the game are rather easy to pick up and in my opinion, very good. I really couldn't find any problems or issues with the controls in this game at all. Be it running amuck on the streets, driving a tractor over farmers, rolling an exploding head into a group of enemies, or taking over the mind of some army guy with your hand. I seriously found no problems with the controls what so ever.

Gameplay
In normal games, you see a zombie and do one of two things. Scream at the top of your lungs and run away, or blast its head off. I am the type of person to do the first thing. However, being you play as the zombie in this game, it's kind of hard to run from myself. The over all gameplay of this game was great. I enjoyed every minute of it. There were just so many ways you could go about taking care of the enemies, I loved it! I did have one issue however. The game didn't really tell you where you were suppose to go really. It just pushed you into the level, and then let you fend for yourself. That can be overlooked however, because the game is still fun no matter what.

Story
Shockingly, the story of this game does NOT revolve around a zombie. In fact, you only get to play as a zombie for half of the game! The other half of the game you play as a genetically engineered soldier. You battle alien forces bent on the destruction of mankind! Ok, so I lie, thats halo. But hey, both games were built on the same engine. Anyway, the story of Stubbs is an interesting one. A story of love, hate, action, drama, and many other things. In the end, I don't really feel like getting into the story of this game too much right now. If you want to learn about the story, look for someone else to tell you about it, or try the game.

Multiplayer
Multiplayer isn't really all that much. Mostly just the main game, but in co-op. In fact, that's all it is. I would have liked to maybe see some sort of game type where one person is a zombie, and the other is a cop or what not. You know, zombie tries to take the place over, cop tries to save the place, something like that. I would have loved to have seen something like that in the game, but I didn't so bleh. Don't get me wrong though, the co-op was fun.

Last words from Zeep
All and all, Stubbs is an awesome game. A little short, but still awesome. I mean come on, you get to play as a brain eating zombie, what more could you ask for!? Now go out there and try stubbs before I eat your brains! The choice is yours, try stubbs or have me eat your brains. I suggest trying stubbs though, cause I'm not really up for eating any brains, but that doesn't mean I wont do it!
