Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

"Rockstar does it again."

This game is by far one of my favorite games of all time. It shines in almost every category that it is insane. Every little thing that was relatively troublesome in Vice City or GTA III was made up for in here.
Gameplay- 10/10

WHOA. There is A LOT of stuff to do in this game. Seriously. You can drive, walk, shoot, dance, play basketball, go on dates, eat food, fly, skydive, steal, swim, punch, kick, rob, learn, and ride on the top of a trolley in the course of a day. That is a heck of a lot of stuff for one game if you ask me. The map is also amazing. From the city to the country, from the desert to the ocean, and from the ocean to the mountains this map feels like a real state. It's also the size of a state too. Not California-size, more like Rhode Island-sized. But it's still huge.

Graphics- 9/10

Vehicles = amazing. Characters = Meh. The vehicles are truly spectacular looking whether you're looking at a jet airliner or a mountain bike. I just don't know what went wrong with the character models. They are full of grainy and/or blurry textures and the actions are very choppy. The lighting is good when not glitched up. Other than that, the vehicles make up for it.

Sound- 10/10

Countless voiceovers, awesome 90's music, and perfect vehicle sound effects really is what makes this game awesome. The music of San Andreas varies from rap to rock to country, so you can't be disappointed. I also don't think I've ever heard the same pedestrian's voice twice.

Replay- 10/10

WOW. With all the stuff in this game, I don't know how you can't continue playing this for less than two years. I've been playing it regularly since I picked it up, about six months ago.

Controls- 9/10

A lot of people say this game sucks because of the awkward drive-by controls. However, I don't thing that they are that bad. Once you get used to them, it's a snap. The new targeting system is easier than ever, and I couldn't dream of it being any better.

Overall- 10/10

Great game, must buy. It may not appeal to some people with all of the violence, but either way, it's a truly amazing game.
