INTRO

Yes! Yes! It is time for another basketball game. And this one does not dissappoint. It has differant gameplay, differant controls, basically a completely new look this year and it is a change for the better

GRAPHICS 10

Espn basketballs graphics were always the best out of all basketball games. This year is know differant. It was made for xbox 360 but it still looks awesome on the regular xbox. It looks cool in every aspect from the crossovers to when you put up the winning jumper the animations are so fluid it is amazing, especially since last years animations were a little dissapointing. The players look ultra-realistic and the fans in the crowd look great to.

Gameplay 10

The gameplay of this game is very amazing. The fluid animations as you drive the lane and jam it down, or fake out with the dropstep and pop a three pointer with Lebron, it all looks so real, like you're actually watching the game on espn. And when players dunk they actually use there own signature dunks, so you can only imagine that Lebron James windmill and hammer down. But still the commentators get repetitive after a while as they tend to say the same things over and over and over again. But the gameplay is a massive, and I mean massive improvement over last year.

SOUND 10

Everything involving sound in this game is spot on, from the squeak of the sneakers as the players change direction to the constant pitter patter of the ball hitting the hardwood floor. When players take shots from the foul line, The fans pound there noisemakers and scream as loud as they can causing the controller to vibrate and its ultra realistic just like a real basketball game. Every time a player sinks a shot you can hear over the loudspeaker the announcer shouting his name followed by a roar from the crowd. You hear coaches shouting commands at players from the courtside and the referee whistle as a player gets hacked for an and one. I was very delighted by the sound of this game.

COMMENTARY 5

I threw this in here because this is a sports game. Well you may recognize the announcer from last years NBA live or from NBA on TNT. Well he's in this one. But he gets very repetitive as with all sports games so this is about average.

CONTROLS 10

The controls for this game are as fluid as they get. Amazing how much of a differance a year makes. This time around, there is a new feature called a shotstick, Which means you can decide a fade away or a jumpshot or change your lay-ups in mid-air this is about the only differance

FINAL 10

This game is a must have for any basketball fan, or even if you just want a fun basketball gam to play this game is a great choice because it never gets old. You won't get tired of it until next year. This is a great game!
