"Past the run and gun gameplay lays a hugely immersive game"

Introduction: Timesplitters has always been a good series. However, with a switch of developers there has been some concern over the future of the series. Well fear no more. Timesplitters: Future Perfect is truly an amazing game. With the most immersive multiplayer engine to date, it truly stands on par with FPS's like Halo and Half-Life.

Story (7/10)
By far the weakest aspect of the game, the story mode is still a lot of fun. The linear gameplay manages to be fun, if a little repetitive. Characters are on average funny, and it's worth it to take the time to listen to the NPC's exchange witty banter. The gun selection could have been a little bigger, but the ones that are there are fun. The added wrist attached gravity device allows you to pull objects toward you. Not overely important, but a fun addition. And of course the relentless tongue in cheek humor that Timesplitters is known for is alive and well.

Graphics (9/10)
The graphics are really well done. Environments are full of detail and the characters each have a distinct look. However, some of the levels tend to blend together a bit because of similar layout structure. The character models all bend and move exactly as you would expect them too as well, using an advanced form of ragdoll physics.

Sound (10/10)
As many times as you'll see this in other reviews, I find it necessary to repeat it. The sound is AMAZING! Each gun has a distinctive fire and the voice acting for all the NPC's is really well done. The random one-liners during the story mode are very funny and well done. From a trash talking robot to a groovy spy, the voices never cease to delight.

Multiplayer (10/10)
As with most Timesplitters games, the multiplayer shines above all the other game modes. Set your gametype, map, guns, bots, turrets. Go on xbox live to play against others and download custom maps. Can't find a map to suit your style? Make your own! The incredibly well done mapmaker allows for huge amount of custimozation for any type of game type, even going so far as to let you design your own story missions! The characters are diverse and creative, and each has significant traits (Stamina, fire resistance, speed, etc.) that continue to add to the multiplayer aspect.

Replayability (10/10)
This should be an easy one if you've paid attention the the rest of the review. Everything in the game teems with replayability. Listening to conversations between guards, unlocking characters, playing through the great arcade mode, and most importantly, multiplayer.

Overall (10/10)
Now for the final verdict. What is this game? A throw away, rental, or buy? While I would not give most games a buy verdict, I believe this definetly needs one. It's a game that anyone can enjoy, even if you're not necessarily a fan of FPS's. This is an amazing game that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Pick it up and give it a try. You won't regret it.
