Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Review by beriansword
"One of the best, most awesome reviews ever!"
A long time ago, in a city far, far away.........
STAR WARS KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC WAS BORN!
And then, I, went and bought that wonderful game (considering I had already beaten the first one).
Graphics: The graphics are OK. They aren't the greatest, but they are still good. When you look at your person, you can see some detail. Your clothes look pretty real too, and you can get a lot of different types of clothing. The weapons look really real too, like blasters, and vibro swords, and sometimes, even lightsabers(which look awesome). Your surroundings are also very detailed and actually look kind of real.
Sound: The sound is good. When you fire a blaster, or ignite a lightsaber, you actually hear that sound like it is coming from one of the movies. Also, the people in the game actually talk, and you don't just have to read what they are saying without actually hearing what they're voice would be like(unfortunatly when you talk to aliens like duros, or Twi'Leks, most of them talk in they're home language, which you probably don't know. So they have subtitles so you can read, and hear what they are saying). Also, sometimes when your enemies die, you can hear they're screams of death! And when you open doors and stuff, it actually sounds like you are opening a door from the movies.
Music: The music is great! I love the music. Whenever you go to a different place, the music usually changes, and you get to listen to a different tune. Also when you go into battle mode you hear battle music, like in most games. You can change how loud or soft the music is in the options menu.
Gameplay: Now, the gameplay is absolutely fabulous! I love this game sooo much when it comes to gameplay! I mean you can buy so many weapons, and do so many things! At the starting screen you can choose to be a girl or a boy, then you choose your face and what type of jedi class you want to be (don't worry, if you want to be a sith, you can still be one). One of the things I love about this game is the how you can level up so much, unlike in the other game where you can only go up to level 20, you can go higher in this game! As you journey on, you make friends, and some enemies. Some people will even choose to join your party so you more people to help you defend youself and gain riches! Another thing I like about this game is how many different lightsaber colors you can get (for some reason I am obsessed with lightsabers, I have no idea why). You can get blue, green, red and many, many more! You can also get soo many weapons and armor, or if you don't like armor you can where a jedi robe or a sith robe. There are so many weapons like vibro blades, blasters, heavy blasters, lightsabers, and a lot more. As you progress through the game you can either be good or evil (now mind you, at the time there is no Empir or Rebels) and your choices will effect that. What I did was make two games, one to be good, one to be evil. Anyway, if you are evil, you usually get more plunder or riches than if you were good, but if you are good, you have the decency to do something right for other people and you sometimes get rewards from the people you help. Also, in this game, you can get your followers to be good or evil with you, whichever way you sway, be it the light or the dark. And once you have done that, you can even get THEM to become jedi or sith, right along with you! You can have them wield lightsabers and use force powers and even where jedi or sith robes. You can also play this game called Pazaak which is sort of like the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic poker. You can have 4 cards out a game and so does your opponent. The point of the game is to get lay your cards down so that in the end you have exactly 20, you have plus or minus cards so that even if you go over or under 20, you can still win becuase you can play one of those cards. Anyway, the dealer deals his cards which also have numbers on them (like your cards) , and, as I told you before, you try not to get over 20. So if the dealer deals you a 10, then a 5, and you have a plus 5 card in your hand, you can deal that and win. Unfortunatly the other player has a hand too, and he uses it. So say the dealer dealed him a 7 and a 9, and he layed down a 4, you guys(or girls) would be tied and you would have to play another round. The game Pazaak consists of three rounds, unless you both tie a lot then you could have like 5 or something. Each time you win a round you get close to winning the whold game. So, what are you thinking, why play a stupid card game for nothing? Well, it isn't for nothing, you can get credits out of it which, in the Star Wars world, is money. Unfortunatly, most people don't play for over like 300 credits, so, its an OK way to make money, but not the best! Well, I am finally done going on about this stuff, so go out and buy it! And if you don't, well, that is your choice.
