[1.0] Introduction [Int123]
WARNING: This walkthrough contains spoiler. This walkthrough is Rated M for
Mature. (Just kidding)
*More videos coming soon
Hello, I'm Jeff a.k.a. JungleFender and welcome to my walkthrough for the
XBOX 360 game Gears Of War. This walkthrough is based on the Insane Difficulty
of the game. Also remember that this walkthrough is written mainly for
singleplayer only. Insane difficulty for this game is like twice the
difficulty of Hardcore, you will die in an instant if you jump out of cover
and run and gun like Master Chief does in Halo. Looks like it's time to remove
the game from your display shelf, blow off the dusts it gathered for the last
few months, and start beating it on Insane difficulty (If you haven't)
In this walkthrough, I will include some videos and screenshots just to help
people out. They're available at:
http://www.freewebs.com/junglefender/gearsofwarwalkthrough.htm
Insane difficulty won't be easy. The key word for beating the game on Insane
difficulty is patience. You will die again and again. Also don't give up
easily if you got stuck in a part of the game and get tired of it. If you died
again and again in the same place, take a rest before you go mad. Drink a
coffee, take a short 5 minutes nap, go to pee, watch some TV or anything
that will calm you down. Then when you return to the game, you will feel more
fresher and better when you replay the the game. Don't keep playing and
playing the game until you got so angry that you throw your controller on your
TV screen and start shouting and swearing and make the people around you
thinking what the hell is wrong with you.
Looks like you're mentally prepare for the Insane difficulty of Gears Of
War, so let's move on!

[3.0] Tactics [Tac123]
This section will give you some advise or teach you some skills on how to
survive, attack, give orders and more.
------------
Taking Cover
------------
Taking Cover is the most important thing to do if you are to survive and
finish Insane difficulty. This game is all about taking cover and moving form
cover to cover to attack an enemy. Taking cover is easy, just walk near the
cover you wanted to be in and tap A briefly. Whenever there is a firefight
going on, the first and the most important thing to do is to take cover. You
also have to be careful for the cover you choose. Too near and the enemy may
get close and force you out your cover; too far and you will have nothing to
shoot. When taking cover, pull the Left Trigger to pop out from your cover
and pull the Right Trigger to shoot. You can also move along the cover you're
in by pushing the Left Stick towards the direction you wanted. You can also
click the Left Stick while in cover to crouch. While taking cover, you can
also blind fire by pulling the right trigger without exposing yourself into
danger. Also be careful which cover you choose for some of the covers in the
game can be destroyed after taking some enemy fire.
----------
Roadie Run
----------
To roadie run (sprint), press and hold the A button while out of cover. Your
character will then lower himself to a crouch position while sprinting. Your
viewing camera will also be lowered towards the same poisition as your
character and then shake wildly to give you a feeling like you're really
running. Unlike the Multiplayer mode, you can only Roadie Run for a few
seconds before your character will slow down to take in some air. While Roadie
running, you can also use your Left Stick to run towards the position you
wanted. When you found yourself to be caught in the middle of a gunfire,
quickly look for the nearest cover available and press and hold A. There's
actually a trick to avoid your character from slowing down after a long,
continiuous Roadie run: After you roadie run about 3 seconds, make a rollover
to the front. While your character is still rolling over, press and hold A
again to roadie run almost simultaneously after the rollover. Keep repeating
the process and you can roadie run over long distances without needing to
stop.
--------
Rollover
--------
To rollover, push the Left Stick to the direction you wanted to rollover and
then press the A button. If you're caught in the middle of a gun fire or an
enemy got close to your cover thus making it not safe anymore, push the Left
Stick towards the direction you want to rollover, tap A and take cover. You
can also use rollover to dodge enemy fire like the slow Boomshot to the deadly
Torque Bow. Rollover is also very useful when it comes to fighting Wretches.
Note that you can also rollover while in cover.
-------------
Active Reload
-------------
To perform an active reload, press the Right Bumper with a fired weapon
equipped. A horizontal bar will then appear in the upper-right of your screen.
See the vertical white line in the bar? That's where you're going to press
Right Bumper again. If you do it right, you will perform an active reload.
With an active reload, you will reload much faster than usual and get a damage
boost for those new rounds that are loaded. But if you press Right Bumper too
early or too late, your weapon will be jammed. When jammed, a few seconds is
needed for your character to fix the jam. If this happens, find a cover or
you're doomed. If you want to reload safely, just press the Right Bumper once.
----------
Blind Fire
----------
To blindfire, simply pull the Right Trigger while in cover. While blind
firing, the only exposed part of your body is your gun and your hand, so you
don't have to worry much about getting shot. You can use blind fire either to
surpress enemies or just to show your friends how cool this game is :) . You
can also use blind fire to take down nearby enemies without exposing yourself
to danger. Try not to blind fire too often as it burns your ammo.
--------
Chainsaw
--------
Hell yeah. This is one of the reason why I love this game. Hold B with the
Lancer equipped to rev-up the chainsaw. To cut an enemy into half, just go
near an enemy with your chiansaw reved-up and watch those blood splatter on
your 29 inch TV screen. When chainsawing an enemy, you will enter the chainsaw
animation and won't be able to move or shoot for a few seconds. If you get
hurt while reving-up your chainsaw, you will be stunned and a few seconds is
need to re-rev the chainsaw. So don't run out of cover and towards an enemy
in the middle of a firefight with the chainsaw like a mad man who doesn't have
a reason to live anymore. It's best to use the chainsaw only when the enemy
doesn't know where you are. You can also pull the Right Trigger while your
chainsaw is reved-up. Doing this will make a loud noise that is useful for
luring Berserker towards you.
-----
Melee
-----
Press B with any weapon equipped (expect for the Lancer) to melee an nearby
enemy. If you melee an enemy, he will be stunned for a moment so quickly take
him down before he recovers. But if you are the one who got meleed and
stunned, quickly rollover and find cover. I don't know why but most of the
time in Insane difficulty, if you melee an enemy, they will melee back before
you can perform another melee. And remember, in Insane, one melee = death.
So everytime after you melee an enemy, it's best to put down a surpressive
fire and search for cover or to back off a little and shoot him.
--------
Grenades
--------
To throw a grenade, pull the Left Trigger with a grenade equipped to aim then
pull the Right Trigger to throw. You can only hold a maximum of 4 grenades at
a time. When pulling the Left Trigger, a curved line will appear, showing how
the grenade will travel and where the grenade will reach when thrown. But in
Insane, you will die in an instance if you expose yourself, that's why the
grenade throwing animation is quite dangerous. So, try training yourself to
blind throw grenades accurately. To blind throw a grenade, simply pull the
Right Trigger while in cover. You can also tag a grenade on an enemy by
going near him and press B with a grenade equipped. Use this on tougher enemy
units like the Boomers to conserve grenades.
-------------
Giving Orders
-------------
After Marcus is given the rank of Sergeant, (Act 2) he will be able to give
orders to his teammates. To give an order, press and hold the Left Bumper and
press either A, B or Y. A is for attack, B is to hold fire while Y is to
regroup. Be careful for what order you give to your teammates or they will be
killed. For example, don't tell your teammates to Attack when there are
Boomers or Troikas waiting to tear them to pieces.
------------------
Reviving Teammates
------------------
In the Campaign mode, your teammates won't die instantly. Instead, they will
become what the game call "downed" and keep bugging you to revive them. To
revive, go to a nearby fallen teammate and press X to revive them. To locate a
fallen teammate, press Y. Before reviving a teammate, you must make sure that
the area is cleared and it's safe to do so. Fallen teammates won't die in
Campaign, so take your time and shoot before reviving them. Or if you are too
lazy to revive a fallen team mate, simply kill the Locust that took him down.
---------------
Emergence Holes
---------------
Emergence holes are the holes that emergence from the ground and help Locusts
to get on the surface. If you encounter an emergence hole, quickly use
explosives to close them up before more Locusts climb up. If you ignore the
emergence holes, it will shut itself when there is no more Locusts coming out
from the hole. If an emergence hole emerged right beneath your feet or
near you, you will be paralyzed for a period of time. If that happens, quickly
tap A repeatedly to get up. Other than grenades, Hammer of Dawn, Boomshot and
Torque Bow can also close up emergence holes.

[4.0] Weapons [Wea123]
Before trying it on Insane, it's recommended for you to know the weapons
first. In this game, you have only four slots of space, one for greandes, one
for sidearms (pistols) and two more for a primary and secondary weapon. Choose
your weapons as it can and will decide your faith in the game. If you ever
find yourselft out of ammo or the weapon you using is not right for the
situation, don't be afraid to swap it for an enemy weapon, which is most
likely the Hammerburst. You can pickup ammo from either a dead enemy's weapon,
a small, medium or large ammo box. Small ammo boxes (magazine shaped) will
provide a small amount of ammo; Medium ammo boxes can supply more while large
ammo (looks like a tool box) boxes can give more ammo than the other ammo
boxes does. I rate things using these five words: bad, decent, good, great and
excellent.
++++++++++++
Explanation:
++++++++++++
Description: A short description of a weapon just in case you don't know them
by their names.
Type: What type of weapon is it
Firing Mode: What type of firing mode does a weapon have
Damage: How much damage could a weapon do
Rate of Fire: How fast can a weapon fire
Max Ammo: The maximum amount of ammo can be carried for a gun
Magazine/Barrel: How much rounds can a magazine/barrel hold
Accuracy: How accurate/stable a weapon is.
Range: A recommended firing range for a weapon
Reloading Speed: How fast a weapon can reload at normal speed
Supply: Wether ammo boxes will supply ammo for a weapon
Scope: Is there a scope available for a weapon
Found: Where and when a weapon can be found for the first time in the game
Overall: An overall rating for a weapon and some words for it
______________________________________________________________________________
------
Lancer
------
Description: This big gun has a built-in chainsaw under the barrel, which
gives it the nickname "Chainsaw gun."
Type: Assault Rifle
Firing Mode: Full-Auto
Damage: Decent
Rate of Fire: Excellent
Max Ammo: 660 rounds
Magazine: 60 rounds
Accuracy: Good
Range: Medium
Reloading Speed: Great
Supply: Yes
Scope: No
Found: In the beginning of Trial by Fire, Act 1
Overall: 5/5. This is everything you needed for a good weapon, a high rate of
fire, medium damage, good melee and good accuracy. This is the
standard weapon for all COG soldiers. Keep this weapon as your
primary whenever possible. Ammo for this weapon are very easy to find
and a large ammo box can give you a full 660 rounds if you're empty.
Just be careful on how you use your chainsaw.
______________________________________________________________________________
-------
Gnasher
-------
Description: A cool-looking shotgun
Type: Pump-action shotgun
Firing Mode: Full-Auto, Semi-Auto
Damage: Excellent for short range. The damage of this gun will slowly decrease
if the range increases.
Rate of Fire: Decent
Max Ammo: 39 rounds (odd, huh?)
Barrel: 8 rounds
Accuracy: Bad
Range: Short
Reloading Speed: Good
Supply: Yes
Scope: No
Found: From a grenadier in Knock Knock, Act 1
Overall: 3/5. A very useful gun for short range that can blow your enemies to
pieces in one blast. Too bad it's usefulness is limited and you
need some time to pump the shotgun after every shot. This weapon
is very useful for Wretch attacks. In a Wretch attack, you won't
have the time to aim, so just shoot from your hip and pray that
you hit them. I always keep this weapon as a secondary in the
Campaign mode.
______________________________________________________________________________
-----------
Hammerburst
-----------
Description: A red rifle with a big magazine
Type: Assault Rifle
Firing Mode: 6-round burst fire
Damage: Good
Rate Of Fire: Great
Max Ammo: 780 rounds
Magazine: 78 rounds
Accuracy: Great
Range: Medium to Long
Reloading Speed: Great
Supply: Yes
Scope: No
Found: In the beginning of the game, 14 Years After E-Day, Act 1
Overall: 4/5. A nice assault rifle with a special 6-round burst feature.
Pull the trigger, and a row of 6 bullets will be fired in less than
one second. Since the bullets are tightly fired together, so most of
the times the last five rounds will hit your enemy if the first one
did...deadly. In Casaul, you can down an enemy in a few burst but in
Insane, it sometimes will take more than a full clip to do so. This
is the weapon you will start with in the beginning of the campaign.
PS: The melee of this weapon is quite weak
______________________________________________________________________________
--------
Longshot
--------
Description: A sniper rifle with a long barrel
Type: Bolt-action sniper rifle
Firing Mode: Semi-auto
Damage: Great
Rate of Fire: Bad
Max Ammo: 24 rounds
Barrel: 1 round
Accuracy: Excellent
Range: Medium to Long
Reloading Speed: Bad
Supply: Yes
Scope: Yes
Found: From a sniper in Lethal Dusk, Act 2
Overall: 4/5. One of everybody favourites in shooters, the sniper rifle. The
Longshot has a scope for long range and can only fire one round
before reloading. Always try to get active reloads for this
weapon cause the normal reloading time takes 6 seconds. And
also try to score as much head shots as possible for one
bodyshot from this gun won't kill much Locusts (excpept for
Wretches) in Insane. This weapon can first be found in Act 2
just before you cross the river.
______________________________________________________________________________
----------
Torque Bow
----------
Description: A
Type: A bow that shoots sharp explosive projectiles
Firing Mode: Semi-auto
Damage: Excellent
Rate Of Fire: Decent
Max Ammo: 12 rounds
Barrel: 1 arrow
Accuracy: Great
Range: Medium to Long
Reloading Speed: Decent
Supply: No
Scope: None
Found: Tip of the Iceberg, Act 3
Overall: 4/5. When the trigger is pulled and released, this weapon will shoot
an arrow which will explode a few seconds after impact. You'll need
to hold the trigger long enough in order for the arrow to penetrate.
If the trigger is pull and released only for a short time, the arrow
fired will only "bounce" off the target it hits. It's ammo is quite
limited so use this on tougher Locusts like the Boomer and Therons.
Note that the melee is actually quite powerful too.
______________________________________________________________________________
--------
Boomshot
--------
Description: A big multi-barrel rocket launcher
Type: Rocket Launcher
Firing Mode: Semi-auto
Damage: Excellent(Direct hit), Great(Splash damage)
Rate Of Fire: Decent
Max Ammo: 12 rounds
Magazine: 1 round
Accuracy: Decent
Range: Medium to Long
Reloading Speed: Good
Supply: No
Scope: None
Found: Tick Tick Boom, Act 2
Overall: 2/5. This is the default weapon for Boomers. The rockets fired from
the Boomshot is kinda slow, so dodging it should be hard. It's rounds
are also affected by gravity so aim a little higher above your target
when firing in long range.
______________________________________________________________________________
--------------
Hammer Of Dawn
--------------
Description: This weapon looks like a... seashell?
Type: Satelite Ion Cannon guider
Firing Mode: Burst
Damage: Excellent
Rate Of Fire: Bad
Max Ammo: Unlimited
Magazine: Unlimited
Accuracy: Great
Range: Medium to Long
Reloading Speed: None
Supply: No
Scope: None
Found: Hammer, Act 1
Overall: 2/5. The reason why I gave this weapon that low score is mainly
because of it's usefulness in Campaign. You will mostly get to use
the Hammer Of Dawn only when there are Berserkers or Seeders around.
Even then you'll need an open sky and you can only fire it when there
are satelites overhead.
______________________________________________________________________________
----
Snub
----
Description: Looks just like most pistols, only that this weapon's magazine is
attached under the barrel.
Type: Self-loading pistol
Firing Mode: Semi-auto
Damage: Good
Rate Of Fire: Excellent (For a pistol)
Max Ammo: 72 rounds
Magazine: 12 rounds
Accuracy: Good
Range: Short to Medium
Reloading Speed: Excellent
Supply: Yes
Scope: Yes
Found: 14 Years After E-Day, Act 1
Overall: 3/5. This is the standard-issued sidearm for COG soldiers. Although
it's a pistol, but it can fire as fast as you can pull the trigger.
This sidearm can help you to get out of sticky situations where both
of the primary and secondary weapons doesn't seem to fit in. Too bad
it's damage is not good enough and the magazine size is kinda small.
______________________________________________________________________________
------
Boltok
------
Description: A revolver handgun
Type: Revolver pistol
Firing Mode: Semi-auto, Auto
Damage: Great
Rate Of Fire: Decent
Max Ammo: 30 rounds
Magazine: 6 rounds
Accuracy: Good
Range: Short to Medium
Reloading Speed: Excellent
Supply: Yes
Scope: Yes
Found: Wrath, Act 1
Overall: 3/5. If you're looking for a sidearm that can cause serious damage,
this is the right thing for you. The damage of this pistol is about
twice as the damage of the Snub. In the hands of an experienced
player, this pistol can take down enemies real quick. The biggest
down side of this pistol is probably the ammo.
______________________________________________________________________________
------------
Bolo Grenade
------------
Description: A grenade with a sea mine-like head
Type: Fragment Grenade
Damage: Great (Thrown), Excellent (Tagged)
Rate Of Fire: Good
Max Ammo: 4 Grenades
Accuracy: Excellent.
Range: Short to Medium
Reloading Speed: Good
Found: 14 Years After E-Day, Act 1
Overall: 4/5. Very useful grenades. With the aiming arc provided when the Left
Trigger is pulled, you will hardly miss. But to use the best out of
this grenade, tag it on an enemy and run away.
(Go to the Tips and Tactics section for some tips on using grenades)

[5.0] Characters [Cha123]
In this section, I will list out and explain something about the enemy units
in the game. I will only talk about the enemy units that you'll fight in the
game, not including those which can only be seen in cutscenes.
+++++++++++
Explanation
+++++++++++
Game Description: How the game describes an enemy character
Hitpoint: How tough an enemy character is. Hipoints will be rated by using
these words: fragile, weak, decent, strong, tough.
Weapons: A list of the weapons used by an enemy character.
Special Abilities: What kind of special abilities does an enemy character have
First Encounter: Where can an enemy character be found for the first time in
the Campaign.
Difficulty: A difficulty rating for an enemy character
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
+++++
DRONE
+++++
The Drones are the basic Locusts infantry units. They use the Hammerburst
most of the times, which is quite dangerous. Although they may be weak when
presented in small numbers, but they give COG soldiers big headaches when
they come in large groups, along with some other Locusts. Locust Drones
are: -Standard Drone
-Gunner
-Sniper
-Grenadier
-Grenadier Elite
--------------
Standard Drone--------------
Game Description: Bred in the hollow to be a bloodthirsty fighter
Hitpoint: Weak
Weapons: -Hammerburst
-Lancer
-Boltok
Special Abilities: None
First Encounter: 14 Years After E-Day, Act 1
Difficulty: 3/10
These are the Standard Drones in the Locust Drone family. They normally carry
Hammerburst, though they are sometime found using the Lancer Assault Rifle.
You will meet them more than any other enemy units in this game's Campaign.
They shouldn't post much of a danger due to their low combat life expectancy.
Most of them wear standard helmets and body armor. Some of them wear goggles.
______________________________________________________________________________
------
Gunner
------
Game Description: None
Hitpoint: Weak
Weapons: -Hammerburst
-Troika Heavy Machine Gun
Special Abilities: Man Troika Machine Guns
First Encounter: Fish In A Barrel, Act 1
Difficulty: 5/10
These Drones are mostly seen manning a Troika Machine Gun in the game. Thanks
to the Troika's great firepower and reliable cover, the Gunners are one of the
most fearable unit in the family of Locust Drones. They have a tougher
headgear, which can only be penetrated by an active-reloaded Longshot round in
Insane difficulty.
______________________________________________________________________________
------
Sniper
------
Game Description: Trained from birth to destroy Coalition troops
Hitpoint: Fragile
Weapons: Longshot
Special Abilities: Sniping
First Encounter: Grist, Act 2
Difficulty: 3/10
They can do lots of damage with their powerful Longshot Sniper Rifles, but
their weak hitpoints won't make them a hard target. A 1/4 of magazine from
a Lancer will take them down. If you spot any of these sniping at your squad,
be sure to make them your top priority.
______________________________________________________________________________
---------
Grenadier
---------
Game Description: Thick skin and skull, with a hell of a attitude
Hitpoint: Decent
Weapons: -Gnasher Shotgun
-Bolo Grenade
Special Abilities: Throw grenades
First Encounter: Knock Knock, Act 1
Difficulty: 4/10
The Locust Grenadiers choice of weapon is the Gnasher shotgun. They sometimes
uses grenades if they saw you staying behind a cover for too long. The
Grenadiers are just a little tougher than the Standard Drones, and you
proabably can't even feel the differences. It's better to take them out before
they can get close to you can tear you to pieces with their Gnasher. Although
the Grenadiers leave their upper torso unarmored, it won't affect their
hitpoints.
______________________________________________________________________________
---------------
Grenadier Elite
---------------
Game Description: Wants one thing: to tear Gears limb from limb
Hitpoint: Decent
Weapons: -Gnasher Shotgun
-Lancer Assault Rifle
-Bolo Grenade
-Boltok Pistol
Special Abilities: Throw grenades
First Encounter: Wrath, Act 1
Difficulty: 5/10
These Grenadiers are basically better versions of the Locust Grenadiers.
They are more aggresive, smart, and uses grenades more often. Instead
of leaving their upper torso unarmored, they wear shoulder and lower body
armor.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
++++++
BOOMER
++++++
Game Description: None
Hitpoint: Tough
Weapons: Boomshot
Special Abilites: Use Boomshot rocket launchers
First Encounter: Tick Tick Boom, Act 2
Difficulty: 8/10
The Boomers are big Locusts that can take a lot of damage. The weapon they
carry, the Boomshot will make themselves a very fearable Locust. Instead of
using normal infantry tactics, they'll just stand in the middle of the
battlefield, slowly advancing towards their enemies. They normally come in
pairs or accompanied by other Locusts.

+++++++++
BERSERKER
+++++++++
Game Description: Berserkers are blind so hunt by sound and smell.
Hitpoint: Tough
Weapons: Body
Special Abilities: Charge towards enemies
First Encounter: China Shop, Act 1
Difficulty: 7/10
The Berserkers are blind, so they will rely only on smell and sound to detect
enemies. Once enemies are spotted, the Berserkers will charge towards them,
breaking and smashing any thing in their way. One hit from a Berserker charge
or melee will kill in any difficulty. Berserkers are only vulnurable to the
Hammer Of Dawn (Although they can be hurt by other weapons after they're
stunned by the Hammer Of Dawn), which makes them terrible nightmares for COG
soldiers.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
++++++
Theron
++++++
The Therons are probably the most intelligent and toughest infantry unit in
the Locust Horde. They always uses cover and will retreat when taking too much
fire. Their preferable weapon is the Torque Bow, which most of the time can
kill in one hit in Insane. Therons are: -Theron Guards
-Theron Sentinels
------------
Theron Guard
------------
Game Description: Elite Locust Guard: Cold, calculating and vicious
Hitpoint: Strong
Weapons: -Torque Bow
-Lancer Assault Rifle
-Gnasher Shotgun
-Longshot Sniper Rifle
-Boltok Pistol
Special Abilities: Command other Locust units
First Encounter: Tip of the iceberg, Act 3
Difficulty: 6/10
Theron Guard are much tougher than any other Locust Drones, and they are
among some of the higher ranks in the Locust Horde. Their favored weapon is
the Torque Bow and they always carry a Boltok Pistol by their side. They wears
a long, redish coats that trails behind them as they move.
______________________________________________________________________________
---------------
Theron Sentinel
---------------
Game Description: The best soldier bred in the hollow
Hitpoint: Tough
Weapons: -Torque Bow
-Lancer Assault Rifle
-Gnasher Shotgun
-Longshot Sniper Rifle
-Boltok Pistol
Special Abilities: Command other Locust units
First Encounter: (I think it's) Campus Grinder, Act 4
Difficulty: 7/10
Theron Sentinels are the "upgraded version" of the standard Theron Guards.
They're much tougher, move faster and are a little bit bigger than Theron
Guards. Just like the Theron Guards, they often make hissing sounds, ordering
other Locust units on the battlefield.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
++++++
WRETCH
++++++
The Wretches are the smaller units (and also annoying) of Locust Horde. They
normally come in large groups and can surround and attack COG soldiers really
quick. They will try their best to get close to their enemies and then attack
them with a bite or a hit from their hands.
Wretches are: -Standard Wretches
-Lambent Wretches
-----------------
Standard Wretches
-----------------
Game Description: None
Hitpoint: Fragile
Weapons: Body
Special Abilities: Crawl on ceilings and walls
First Encounter: Hammer, Act 1
Difficulty: 2/10
Standard Wretches are easy to kill, but when they attack in large groups, you
will have a hard time trying to get them off you. Whenever there's a Wretch
attack, it's best to pull out your Gnasher and start pumping some shells. 2
continous hits from a Standard Wretch will kill, so be careful.
______________________________________________________________________________
----------------
Lambent Wretches
----------------
Game Description: None
Hitpoint: Weak
Weapons: Body
Special Abilities: -Crawl on ceilings and walls
-Explode after dying
First Encounter: Downpour, Act 3
Difficulty: 4/10
The biggest difference between Lambent and Standard Wretch is that they will
explode after dying, hurting anybody nearby. The biggest tip I can give you
for this kind of Wretch is... don't use the chainsaw!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
++++++
Seeder
++++++
Game Description: Some of the larger Locusts like Seeders are only vulnurable
to the Hammer Of Dawn
Hitpoint: Tough
Weapons: Nemacysts
Special Abilities: Produce Nemacysts
First Encounter: Hammer, Act 1
Difficulty: 2/10
The Locust Seeders are insect-like creatures that produces Nemacysts, another
global-shaped flying Locust. Except for the Nemacysts it produces, the Seeder
can't really hurt you. The only weapon that is effective for this Locust is
of course, the Hammer of Dawn.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
++++++++
Nemacyst
++++++++
Game Description: None
Hitpoint: Fragile
Weapons: Body
Special Abilities: Fly towards enemy units/vehicles and explode on impact.
First Encounter: Hammer, Act 1
Difficulty: 2/10
The Nemacysts are the products of the Locust Seeders, mainly used as anti-air
vehicle units. Nemacysts can also jam radio frequencies. If presented in large
numbers, they can cover up the whole sky, thus preventing COG soldiers on the
ground from using the Hammer Of Dawn. For example, the last Berserker fight on
Act 5. They can kill in one hit so don't forget to look up the sky when
there's a seeder around.

+++++++
Corpser
+++++++
Game Description: None
Hitpoint: Tough
Weapons: Claws
Special Abilities: Dig Emergence Holes
First Encounter: 14 Years After E-Day, Act 1
Difficulty: 5/10
You will only get to fight one of these things at Angry Titan, Act 3. Many
players consider that Corpser fight as a boss fight. Don't be fooled, these
Locusts may look deadly, but their actually a piece of cake. It's only
vulnurable part of the body is their belly and mouth.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
+++++++
Reavers
+++++++
Game Description: None
Hitpoints: Tough
Weapons: Locusts on them
Special Abilities: Carry Locusts on their backs
First Encounter: Knock Knock, Act 1
Difficulty: 6/10
These flying Locusts normally have some Locust Drones or Therons on their
back, shooting at COG soldiers. They're quite tough, need a few magazines of
Lancer rounds just to take one down. Try to ignore them if possible to
conserve your ammo. The Torque Bow also seems to be a effective weapon against
them.

+++++
Kryll
+++++
Game Description: None
Hitpoints: Tough (I mean, they can't be killed with normal weapons, right?)
Weapons: Mouth. (They bites)
Special Abilities: Tear any living things to pieces in split seconds
First Encounter: Lethal Dusk, Act 2
Difficulty: 2/10
The Kryll are bat-like creatures that hunts by night and kill anybody staying
in dark areas. For me, I don't think they are part of the Locust Horde cause
they'll kill everybody that is in the dark including the Locusts. And in a
conversation between Baird and Marcus :
Marcus: Baird. Give me an update.
Baird : We've got Locusts. And looks like Kryll are on their way.
probably showing that Kryll is not counted as part of Locusts. Anyway, stay in
the light and you should be A-ok.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
++++++++++++
General RAAM
++++++++++++
Game Description: A savage and brilliant Locust General
Hitpoint: Tough
Weapons: Portable Troika Machine Gun
Special Abilities: -Use Kryll as shield
-Order Kryll to attack
-Use portable Troika Machine gun
First (And also the last) Encounter: Pale Horse, Act 5
Difficulty: 9/10.
General RAAM is the final boss for this game. It is also probably the
toughest Locust unit you'll ever fight in the game. He uses a weapon that
looks like a portable Troika Machine gun and uses Kryll to shield himself.
He can also order Kryll to attack COG soldiers. Well he may be tough, but
he ain't invisible, right? AM I RIGHT, Marines?! Uh, huh, damn right I am.

[6.1] Act 1 - Ashes
--------------------
14 Years After E-Day - Time off for good behavior [YAE001]
--------------------
As the cutscene ends, exit from your cell. You will start off with a
Hammerburst with 312 rounds and a Snub Pistol with 48 rounds. As soon as you
reach Dom, whom is waiting for you near the exit, he will give you two choices
either to go to the left path or the right path. If you go left, you will go
directly through the prison blocks and get right into the fight; But if you
choose right, you will go through the guards quarters, which is safer. (Well,
not really)
______________________________________________________________________________
++++
Left (Combat)
++++
As you exit into the hall, you should be able to see the first COG Tag, which
is lying directly in front of the Gears Of War logo, the Crimson Omen. Kick
open the jammed door and... surprise! Pick up the 2 medium ammo boxes and
proceed. A couple of Locusts will attack you so take them down. Ignore the
Locusts above the bridge to your left to save ammo, King Raven will take them
down later. After the fight's over, pick up some Hammerburst ammo from the
Locusts' dead bodies. As you proceed, Dom will tell you to pick up the two
pair of grenades and you should do so.
You will then enter a large hall. About 3 or more Locusts is waiting for you
so be prepared. In the middle of the fight, Dom will tell you to use your
grenades, so use them if you want to. There will be 2 Locusts shooting through
the windows from a small room in the hall. Lob in a grenade and *BOOM*!
Flesh, blood, body parts and guns flying everywhere in the room...
______________________________________________________________________________
+++++
Right (Training)
+++++
If you choose training, go up the stairs to the right instead of kicking the
jammed door. A sign with the word "Cafeteria" will point towards the stairs.
Go up another stairs and you will reach the guard's room. Use the button on
the desk to unlock the door. Behind an orange sofa in the area is a medium ammo
box. As you proceed, you will need to shoot two red circuit breakers on the
walls to unlock the doors. Kick open the jammed door and move on. As you
proceed, you can see Victor Squad's chopper fly by. Pick up the medium amoo box
and kick open the jammed door. Turn right and keep walking on the walkway then
enter the door at the end.
You will reach a checkpoint and some Locusts will attack. Take cover, kill
them, and activate the switch. There is a medium ammo box located at the
coerner. Dom will then say it's a timed security door and you need to run
towards the door after you opened it. When you enter the door and... surprise!
Two hanging corpses will greet you. Turn right and go down the stairs. Enter
the room with 8 pair of grenades lying on the floor, pick them up.
After you exit the room, 3 or more Locusts will attack. Kill them and head
down stairs. It's more recommended to use your grenades since you have more of
them in the room. Head down the stairs...

Continues
+++++++++
After the fight is over, go to the other end of the hall to find a COG Tag.
You can also pick up the large ammo box lying under the two hanging corpses.
Then, the Locusts will start to cut through the door. Take cover right next
beside Dom or at least stay near him to avoid troubles later. Pull the Left
Trigger and adjust your grenade to be thrown right in front of the door. As
soon as Dom finish saying: "Get ready, here they come!" Throw it. I hope you
killed or hurt some of the Locusts coming through the door. And for no reason,
Dom will be downed as soon as the Locusts charge in. That's why I told you to
stay near Dom. Revive him, and get back to your cover.
The Locusts will try to flank you so be careful. Concentrate your fire on the
nearest Locusts. If you see the Crimson Omen logo is 4/5 formed on your
screen, it's better you take cover and let your health recharge. If you're
severely hurt, you can also hear a soft, glass-breaking sound, so take cover
too if you hear that wierd sound. After you cleared the area, exit through the
door where the Locusts first broke in.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NT_-dHPunv4
You will then enter a large opened area. Go up the steps to your left and
start shooting them from there. Shoot those Locusts whom are nearer to you
first or some of them will get near your cover and force you out. Try to get
as much headshots as possible to save time and ammo. After it's clear, get to
King Raven (Helicopter) and watch the long cutscene.
Congratulations, you've passed your first chapter in Insane Difficulty by
yourself.

Trail By Fire - Begin the mission to find Alpha squad [TBF002]
-------------
After the cutscene ends, take cover. Ignore the Locusts reinforcements cause
King Raven will help take them down. Now, you will have a Lancer with 420
rounds, a Snub with 48 rounds and 2 grenades. Pick up the Drones'
Hammerbursts.
Go up the stairs. Go through the door and turn right. Three Locust Drones
will attack your squad, fight back. After the fight's over, Dom will show you
the COG Tag next to a COG soldier. (If you haven't pick that one up) Move on
and pickup the medium ammo box and a pair of grenades before going up the
stairs.
As you reached the top, a few Drones will attack. Pickup the medium ammo box
and a pair of grenades to the left and start flanking them. Only use your
chainsaw when the enemies are really close and the situation is safe to do so.
Keep walking to the end opposite from where your teammates are. In the middle
of the fight, the first emergence hole of the game will emerge. If you get to
the opposite end from where your teammates are, you should be able to lob a
grenade into the hole easily. After the fight's over, pickup the large ammo
box lying around the area.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QTwIMqfaM8
Move on and some Drones will attack. I don't know wether this happens to you
or not but everytime I play through this part the framerate will drop
termendously for a second even if the fight is not that intense. Anyway,
use the pillars to the right to flank the Drones. Before crossing the bridge,
there's a medium ammo box at the end to the left.
As you cross the slightly damaged wooden bridge, you can see some dead COG
soldiers lying beside a huge emergence hole. Look closely to the other side
and you should be able to see a medium ammo box hiding behind a van. Cross the
bridge and let Kim open the locked door. Kim will open doors cause he's the
only one on the squad who have the code.
As soon as you enter the door, turn left 90 degrees, roadie run and find a
cover. After a while, a emergence hole will appear. If you did as I told and
go to the left, the emergence hole should be right in front of you or at least
close to you. Lob a grenade in. Then proceed to the point where you're facing
the exit and take cover. Another emergence hole will appear in front of you.
Be careful as you throw the grenade cause a pillar will fall and may block it
away. Finish the rest of the Drones of and move to the exit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBvRCY1jZEs
You will then be in a large opened area. Go down the stairs and you can pick
up the medium ammo box hiding behind a truck. Go near the large emergence hole
and a cutscene will play. That's it for the second chapter of the game.

After the cutscene, quickly pick up ammo from the dead COG soldier's Lancer.
Dom will tell you to flank the Troika emplacement from the right. Roadie run
around the emergence hole so that you'll be in the right flank. Pick up the
medium ammo box and then keep on roadie run until you reach the Troika
emplacement area as fast as possible then take cover. Don't engage the Troika
gunner yet. If you do it fast enough, a Drone will be walking towards you.
Chainsaw it and then run towards the Troika gunner and chainsaw him as well.
After the Troika gunner is dead, quickly man the Troika machinegun and make
a big 180 degrees turn. Shoot all the Drones that are charging towards you.
After it's clear, pick up the medium ammo box near you and advance.

Another squad of Locust Drones will attack, take them out. Keep moving
forward until you reach a circle. I don't know wether you guys realise it or
not but everytime you go near this circle, you can hear a Locust saying:
"Dust to Dust!" Or someting like that. Grab some grenades and ammo if you
need to, cause a big fire fight is waiting just right ahead.
Ready your grenades and wait for the first emergence hole to emerge. Press
Y to locate the first emergence hole and lob in a grenade quickly before any
of the Drone manages to climb up. The second one will appear, locate it and
lob in a grenade. Repeat the same for emergence hole number 3 and 4. I hope
you can close all of them perfectly so that you don't need to fight those
Drones. You can always exit the circle and pickup the grenades if you run out
of them. There is one pair of grenade near one of the emergence holes one pair
of them in the circle and one pair of them is lying near a medium ammo box at
a corner outside of the circle.

Shoot the woods covering the window and help Kim and Dom kill the Drones

Conversation
'''''''''''''''''''
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Dom : There's another nest around the corner
Marcus : With a spotter, on the right!
Kim : Take him out first
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I believe what they meant by "spotter" is the Drone that's shooting from the
window on the right. Just like Kim said, we will take that Drone out first.
Go into the dark room to the right, and then pick up the medium ammo box
inside. Keep going through the room and exit from the right flank. Walk behind
the one and only cylinder shaped object in the area. You should now have a
clear vision of that Drone. Pull out your Hammerburst and shoot him as he pop
out of the window. If you do as I said and stay behind the large cylinder
object, you should be safe from the Troika's fire. Try to take out that Drone
as fast as possible before your teammates are downed by Troika fire.
After you killed that Drone behind the window to the right, see the shut door
below the window ? (It's a little to the right) Leave your cylinder shaped
cover and Roadie Run towards it. Keep holding A when you reached the door and
Marcus will kick open that door without needing you to press X. Like this,
you won't give time to the Troika to tear you to pieces while you're trying
to push the X button to kick open the door.
Once you're inside, go up the stairs. You should now have a clear visual of
the Troika's left flank. Lob a grenade towards the Troika and watch'em
go boom. If you run out of grenades, take the one beside the sandbags near
you.
Ok, now let me tell you what's going to happen next. Remember that grand
piano? A Emergence Hole is going to emerge around that area after the last
Drone standing in the area is killed. You've got three options, the quick
but dangerous way and the slow but safe way, choose one.
______________________________________________________________________________
+++++++++++
Option No.1
+++++++++++
This is the quick but dangerous way. After you killed that Troika gunner,
leave one or two Drones alive and then go back to your teammates' position.
Revive any of your downed teammates and prepare your grenades. Look towards
the area with the grand piano and try to take down the leftover Drones from
here.
As soon as the last Drone is killed, a slight earth quake will occure and
you should be able to see that Emergence Hole opening up. Aim and throw a
grenade. Miss the hole with the first grenade and chances are, you're going
to fight more Drones and trying to going back to the Troika machine gun
is a little too late so throw the first grenade accurately.
If you do it right, *BOOM!* and end of story. (Continues)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOSf36U33vM
_______________________________________________________________________________
+++++++++++
Option No.2
+++++++++++
This is the slow but safe way. After you killed the Troika gunner, go down
and revive any teammates that's down, and kill the leftover Drones. After the
last Drone is down and the Emergence Hole is starting to open up, quickly
Roadie Run to the Troika and man it. From here, you will have a clear visual
of the hole. Shoot anything that moves with the Troika and if you got hurt
severely, leave the Troika and roll back, wait for your health to recharge
then continue blasting Locusts with the Troika.
After you finish the last of them and that's it. (Continues)

After the Emergence Hole is closed up, stay away from the door located at the
back of the Troika. A lone Drone will come busting open the door, shoot it.
You don't actually need to shoot it since one of your teammates are very
likely to chainsaw that Drone.
Enter the door, then kick open that other door in front of you.

Knock Knock - Infitrate the House Of Sovereigns [KKK005]
-----------
Lieutenant Kim will tell you and Dom to attack first while he and Carmine
will "stay back and surpress". Kick open the door and enter the large, opened
area. There's an large ammo box and a pair of grenades in the guard's post. As
you go, you can see a few Reavers fly by. In front of you, is a large
structure with four entrance doors. See the fourth door to the right?
(Counting from the left) Roadie run towards it and take cover behind the
sandbags right next to that door.
The second door should open by now, uncovering a Troika machine gun. The
Troika will start firing at your allies but don't shoot it so that you won't
give away your position. The third door will now open with a lone Drone
charging out. Keep staying in your cover and don't engage the enemy.
After a while, the fourth door should start opening. Kim will shout and a new
point of interest appears. Meet your new enemy, the Grenadier. The Grenadier
will starting pumping its shotgun but keep hiding behind your cover. The
Grenadier will then take cover behind the sandbags and jump over to your
position. As soon as the Grenadier jumps over, exit cover and chainsaw it.
Then, pull out your Hammerburst and take out the lone Drone at the 3rd door.
Now, swap your Hammerburst for the Grenadier's Gnasher (shotgun).
Enter the structure through the opened fourth door. Move along the left
path. A Emergence Hole will then start to emerge inside the sturcture. If
you're moving along the left path, you should have a clear visual of the hole.
Try to lob a grenade into/near the hole. If you already threw 2 grenades but
still misses the hole, it's best you stop trying to conserve grenades.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuMHQCp5oL4
After the Emergence Hole closes, go near it to uncover a medium ammo box and
grenades. If the Troika gunner still survives (which he probably will), go out
and chainsaw him from the back. A cutscene will then start to play, showing
Carmine's death by Locust's sniper fire.
After the cutscene, run back to the Troika and start shooting the hordes of
Drones and Grenadiers that are charging towards your squad's position.
Remember to pull the left trigger to be more precise with the Troika. Focus
your shots on the enemies that are closest to you/your team mates.
As the battle outside ends, the first door will open with 2 Drones and a
Grenadier inside. Let your team mates go in first. Be really careful with the
Grenadier for he can blast you to pieces with his Gnasher in that kind of
range. Use your Gnasher and grenades against them. There is a large ammo box
at one corner of the room and one next to Carmine's corpse. As you go up the
stairs, this chapter will end.

Hammer - Drop the Hammer On the House Of Souvereigns [Ham006]
------
Follow Kim and go upstairs. You can hear Cole swearing and shooting. As you
reach the top of the stairs, go to the other end to pick up a pair of grenades.
Go outside. A new point of interest will appear, showing Cole shooting Locusts
with his Snub. Pick up the medium ammo box in the area. After a while, a
grenade will fly under Cole's feet exploding, causing him to be downed. If you
listen carefully you can actually hear a Grenadier saying "Bye bye, nutsac."
Go down the stairs and kill the three Locusts in the area. Revive Cole and a
cutscene will play.
Go back up the stairs. Wait for Kim to open the door and enter the long,
straight room. Take cover behind the medium cube block to the left of the
locked door, facing to the other end of the room. Soon, you will see a lone
Wretch running out and screaming, alerting the other Wretches.
Use your Lancer and shoot anything that come close. Remember to check the
ceilings. After a while another group of Wretches will attack... from behind.
Your teammates will shout and notice you when it happens. Pull out your
Gnasher and blast them to hell. Keep rolling over to dodge them and use melee
if any Wretch gets close.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iy4IvfK5LI8
After the Wretch attack ends, pick up the large ammo box and some shotgun
ammos if you need to and exit to the next hall. Dom will say that something
smells wrong here. Don't go near the locked door. Instead, swap your Gnasher
for the Hammer Of Dawn on the floor. You should be able to have a good viewing
angle of the Seeder by looking through the windows. Kill the Seeder from here.
After it got zapped twice and died, swap back your Hammer of Dawn for the
Gnasher and ready your grenades.
Go near the locked door and Kim will unlock it. Then take cover behind the
low wall to the right of the lifted bridge. Aim your grenades towards the
opened room on the other side. Kim will then start lowering the bridge.
Soon, an Emergence Hole will start to appear, lob a grenade in and pray that
you hit. Cross the bridge, and keep proceeding. There's a large ammo box on
some wood planks on the water.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctMaK_hJV0Y
Keep going and you will hear a Seeder making wierd noises. Go to the area
where the Seeder is and swap your Lancer for the Hammer of Dawn on the floor.
You will need your Gnasher for the Wretches later. Drop the hammer on the
Seeder and take cover whenever you need to. After you're done with the Seeder,
swap back your Lancer and keep going.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiPFYyHyEO4
As Kim unlocks the door, you will see something flying across your view. Go
to the viewing platform in front of you and look right for a medium ammo box.
Pull out your Gnasher and go down the stairs. Two Wretches will leave their
"food" and charge towards you. There's a pair of grenades near the corpse if
you need it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HuAhFXmpIs
Move on until you reach a medium hall that has rows of benches in it. Locusts
will start to attack. Shoot the Wretches that come in first before they are
all over you. After you're done with the Wretches, take care of the other
Locusts in the area. Before you exit the hall, there's a pair of grenades to
the right of the steps.
Your squad will then encounter another dead COG soldier. According to Cole,
that soldier's name's Rojas. Wait for Kim to unlock the door then enter it.
Keep procceding till you reach a living room with some couch and sofas.

Wrath - A bloody reunion with Alpha Squad [Wra007]
-----
Kill the two Drones that enters the living room and swap your Gnasher for
the Hammer of Dawn. Exit to the balcony and you will see another Seeder below
spitting Nemacysts. Before you try to zap the Seeder with huge @$$ lasers,
shoot down any nemacysts in the air first. Your team mates should help you on
the Drones in the area. After the area's clear, drop the Hammer on the Seeder.
Be careful for Nemacysts as you do so. Also, don't point your laser to close
to your cover or you're the one who's gonna get zapped.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1zVix6itj0
After you're done with the Seeder, go back inside. Then, Locusts will start
cutting through the door and Cole will alert your squad. Aim your grenades a
few inches away from the door. As soon as the door explodes, lob it. There
will be a Drone with a Lancer shooting from cover and two Grenadiers charging
in. Be careful with the Grenadiers for they can blast you to pieces in one hit
in this kind of range.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c5ngv3n0f8
Move on. Later, a new point of interest will appear, showing "The Tombs of
the Unknown", which is where Alpha Squad is taking cover in. Keep going until
you see a red cardboard. Destroy it to uncover a medium ammo box beneath it.
Keep moving on and you will encounter a Boltok and a large ammo box next to a
dead COG soldier. Boltok or Snub? It's your choice.
Keep moving on and you'll enter another hall. A drone with a Boltok will
start shooting. Be careful cause the Boltok is quite powerful. Another Drone
with a Hammerburst will enter the hall, shoot him as well. Keep going and
you'll reach a straight hallway leading to another hall. Take cover behind
one of those fallen pillars/low walls.
A squad of Grenadiers and Drones will start another fire fight. Some of the
Drones have Lancers so be careful not to get saw'd. There's a medium ammo box
in the area just so you know. After you've done, move on.
You'll found yourself standing in the middle of the line of fire of a Troika
machine gun. Quickly roadie run and enter the room to the right. Pull out your
Gnasher and find some cover. A group of 5 or so Wretches will come hopping
towards you. There may be more Locusts inside that large room. After the
room's clear, chainsaw the Drone manning the Troika from the back. I wonder
what's he's shooting at???
Man that Troika and start firing at the Wretches that is coming through.
Don't forget to check the ceilings. If the Wretches manages to get too close
for comfort, quickly leave the Troika, roll back and pull out your Gnasher.
Pump and saw those Wretches until it's over.
Advance to the right of the Troika machine gun. At the first junction, turn
right and you'll see a medium ammo box. Keep moving. As you move down the last
stair, a squad of Locusts in the room in front will start shooting. Flank them
from the left. If you still can't see some of the Locusts, flank them from the
back. There are a Boltok, 2 large ammo boxes and a pair of grenades in the
room.
Move on and you will reach a large circular hall with a statue in the centre.
This is where Marcus is judged and sentenced. Roadie run up the stairs and
chainsaw the Drone manning the Troika machine gun. Before you do anything,
make sure the air is clear of Nemacyst. You can start killing the Locusts on
the ground either by using the Hammer Of Dawn or the Troika. As you're busy
busting Locusts on the ground, don't forget to look up the sky to see if
there's any Nemacyst flying around.
After it's clear, a cutscene will play.

China Shop - Berserker Bait [Csp008]
----------
Keep moving until the Berserker smashes through a wall. Enter the long hall
way and roadie runs towards the end. Stand directly behind the closed door.
Pull the Right Trigger while reving up your chainsaw will make a loud noise,
luring the Berserker near you. The Berserker should be charing towards you by
now. Rollover to the side when it come close. If successful, the Berserker
will break the door; But if you done it wrongly and the Berserker missed, try
again.
As soon as the door breaks and your character is recovering from the roll,
roadie run and stand at the middle of the hallway and make more noises with
your chainsaw. As the Berserker charges towards you, rollover and quickly run
towards the opened door. Keep holding A while rolling over will help you to
roadie run instantly after you rollover. When you entered the room, there's a
medium ammo box at the left corner.
Enter to the second hall and make noises. A 6 minutes 30 seconds countdown
timer will start as you enter the hall to make the fight a little more
exciting. Be careful cause the second hall is much smaller than the first one.
Just like what you did for the first time, stand behind door, lure, rollover,
run to the middle, lure, rollover, then roadie run towards opened door.
The third hall is the smallest, making rolling over harder. When the
Berserker charges towards you, rollover to the right since there is a space
to the right whereas there aren't any to the left. After opening the third
door, run outside to the courtyard. Then, quickly roadie run towards either
to the right or left end. To run for such a long distance, it's better for you
to rollover once after you roadie run'd for about 3 seconds and then keep
holding A as you're rolling over to continue roadie running. This will avoid
your character from slowing down to rest after a long, continuous roadie run.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGDMnBXkQG8
When you reach the end, look back just to make sure if the Berserker is
following you. If she isn't, pull out your Hammer of Dawn and watch her
suffer in pain. After the first satelite beam stopped, take cover and stay
queit before she knows where you are. Wait for a few seconds for the satelite
to reload, then fire off another beam on the Berserker. If she's charging
towards you, be careful cause the covers here are breakable. You need to put
a total of 3 beams on the Berserker before it finally dies.
There's actually a quicker way end her:

Keep going. Soon you'll reach a room and got no way out. Save the large ammo
box for later. Wait for a while and a cutscene will play, showing two Boomers
heading to your location.
As the two Boomers blast open the door, take cover behind the low wall and
start shooting. It's better if you just wait for the Boomers to fire a shot
before you fire back. This is because Boomers will take a loooonnnggg time to
reload their Boomshot after every single shot. Use your Gnasher if they come
close. Then, go to the back of the room to pick up the pair of grenades beind
some shelves.
Keep moving and you'll see a Corpser moving back into the ground. (Look on
the floor for something funny on the way before reaching to the Corpser's
position.)
There's an medium ammo box just at one of the corners of the room where
the Corpser appeared. You will soon enter a large hall. A Drone will then
start to attack. After killing it, pick up the grenades behind the steel
racks. Proceed and activate the door button. You will now enter another hall,
with lots of tall steel racks in it. Among the steel racks lies a pair of
grenades.
Activate the door button and look to the right for a medium ammo box. A fire
fight will start to emerge as you go outside. First, take out the sniper
sniping from the broken walls first. Then take out the 2 Drones using Lancers
that's coming out from the building. After your side is clear, help Dom and
Cole to shoot the 2 Grenadiers that are on their side.
When you're done outside, pull out your Gnasher and enter the building. Kill
any Wretch that's coming towards you. Then, move through the rooms to the
right and flank that Troika. Be careful for some Drones that may be hiding
in one of the rooms inside. (Continues)

On your way, Dom will tell you that his route's not good and you should find
another way in. There's a medium ammo box on your way. Keep going until a
cutscene plays, showing two Boomers moving towards Dom's position. You can
choose not to shoot to save ammo since your team mates can handle the Boomers
themselves.
Keep moving until you're on the walkway of a large hall. Quickly take cover
to the low wall in front, which is to the left of the locked door and wait. A
Drone will soon come out. Don't shoot. Instead, wait for it to jump over to
your position then chainsaw it. Exit to a hall with lots of tall shelves in
it. There's a large ammo box waiting for you in that hall.
Go out and Locusts will start to attack. Shoot the 2 Grenadiers that are
charging towards your position first. Then, take care of the sniper sniping
from the broken walls on the second floor. 2 Drones with Lancers will come out
from the right, help Dom and Cole to shoot it. After outside's clear, pull out
your Gnasher and get in that building.
A Troika will start firing at you as you enter the building. Take cover to
the left wall to avoid it. Kill the Wretch that is coming for you. Now, you
can either wait for your team mates to attack or you can attack yourselft. Of
course, if you want to wait for your team mates to attack you'd better tell
them to attack.
But if you want to take out that Troika yourself, you can either shoot him
with your Lancer to make the gunner retreat or you can throw a grenade under
it's feet. After you're done with the Troika gunner, pull out your Gnasher and
get ready for more Wretches. There may be some leftover Drones hiding inside
the room. (Continues)

After the area's clear, kick open that jammed door. You can pickup the
resources in the area while Jack's cutting the door.
Keep moving until you reach a closed hall, with a jammed door as the exit.
Pick up the grenades behind the jammed door if you need it. As you go near
that jammed door, this chapter will end.
******************************************************************************
-----
Grist - Heavy weapons in close quarters [Gri010]
-----
Once you kick opened that jammed door, another fire fight starts. Just as
usual, focus on the Boomer first. If more than one of your team mates are
down by the Boomer's fire, tell the rest to cease fire. You may also want to
watch out for the Grenadier to the left. My team mates and I always got killed
by that lone Grenadier as it always come near our cover and fire at us with
his Gnasher at point blank range so be careful.
After you're done with the Boomer and Grenadier, tell your team mates to
attack. Go to the area where the Boomer first appeared. From here you can see
some Drones in front of you. Take them out first, and then kill the snipers
that is sniping from the windows on the other side. After the area's cleared,
be careful for a lone Drone that's coming out from the locked door when you
proceed.
Once the Drone's down, that's it for this big fight. There's a total of 1
Boomer, 1 Grenadier and 7 Drones engaged in this fight. For the resources in
the area, there's one large ammo box in the middle of the courtyard, one at
where the Boomer first appeared, one medium ammo box near the locked door and
a pair of grenades in a room where the Grenadiers first appeared.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDiDOCPbmoc
Proceed through the locked door which is opened by that last Drone. The
Corpser will once again appear. There's a Lancer at the near the edge of the
walkway destroyed by the Corpser. Before you go on, ready your Gnasher. Three
Wretches will come hopping towards you. And as you exit that area, another 2
Wretches will be coming from the above while 2 other will try to run up the
stairs which you are standing on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCIURdshdY8
When you reach the bottom, you should be able to find a large ammo box in the
corner. But I recommend you to save it for later. Keep going and again, the
Corpser will appear. Two Drones and a Boomer will then slowly appear as the
smoke and dust caused by the Corpser fades. Focus on the Boomer, then tell
your team mates to attack once the Boomer is down. After killing the 2
leftover Drones, pick up the large ammo box you saved before. There's also
a medium ammo box at the area where the Drones first appeared.
Later, you will face a Troika and you won't be able to just use your Lancer
and take it out easily. I recommend you to use either your grenades, or swap
your Gnasher for the Boomshot.
______________________________________________________________________________
+++++++++++
Option No.1 - Grenades
+++++++++++
If you choose to use your grenades, keep moving. As Baird start saying
"Kicked their ass", quickly roadie + rollover and take cover behind the white
van that is on the right, ignoring the pushable vehicle. The Troika should
start pinning your team mates down by now. Okay, this is the hard part. If
you took cover behind the white van to the right if I told you to, you should
have a good visual of the Troika gunner on the right.
Tell your team mates to cease fire for now or they will be downed in less
than a minute. To heat up the situation a little bit more, an Emergence Hole
will appear at the other end, next to a pick up truck in front. Be careful
for the Wretches that is running towards you.
Now, move your Right Stick so that the Troika is a little bit left to the
center of your view. Blind throw it from cover whenever you're think you're
ready. If you managed to throw it under the gunner's feet, that's good. But
if your grenade landed on the Troika and got knocked off, move your Right
Stick to aim and then try again. You can always pick up the grenades under
your feet if you run out of them.
If you still failed after trying multiple times, go for Option 2, it's
more easier. (Continues)
Dammit, I missed the second grenade:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eseaI1Mkfso
______________________________________________________________________________
+++++++++++
Option No.2 - Boomshot
+++++++++++
You may loose your Gnasher if you want go for this option. Just after your
last fight with the Boomer and the 2 Drones, swap your Gnasher with the
Boomer's Boomshot, and then ignore the pushable vehicle and roadie run +
rollover to the white van to the right side of the bridge. Take cover behind
the white van and you should be able to see the Troika on your right. If
you're in the right place, under your feet should be a pair of grenades.
To heat up the situation a little bit more, an Emergence Hole will appear
at the other end, next to a pick up truck in front. Be careful for the
Wretches that is running towards you.
Now, I know this is stupid, but tell your team mates to attack. Since you're
behind the white van and the Troika couldn't see you, it will aim for your
team mates. As the Troika gunner is shooting at your team mates, which most
probably are on the left side of the bridge, you should be able to have a
clear view of the side of the gunner's body/feet. Move your Right Stick so
that the Troika would be in the middle on your view, aim and shoot as fast
as possible. One shot on his body should shred him to pieces. (Continues)

Continues
+++++++++
After that Troika gunner's down, revive any team mate that's down and tell
them to attack. Slowly advance from cover to cover and try to stay at the left
hand side. There's a long low wall at the left side near the Emergence Hole.
Take cover behind that low wall and move along it until you can see the
Emergence Hole clearly just a few feet away from you. Throw a grenade or use
your Boomshot. Be careful for there still might be Wretches that managed to
come up from that hole.
The faster you can close up the hole, the better. Or else you'll have to
fight the Locusts that came up to the surface. After this fight's over,
pick up the resources in the area. There's a pair of grenades behind the white
van, a large ammo box, and another pair of grenades which is right next to a
medium ammo box. If you're following option 2 and you still have the Boomshot
with you, swap it for a Gnasher on the floor before you pick up the ammo boxes
around the area.
Keep moving until you reach the Stranded camp.

Lethal Dusk - Stay in the light or be consumed [Ldk012]

Kick open that jammed door and you can hear the good ol' Grenadier laughing.
There's a Drone accompanying the Grenadier, and a Sniper inside the small
room. Kill the Drone and Grenadier then chainsaw the Sniper. Swap your Gnasher
for it's Longshot Sniper Rifle. Go down the stairs and get on that platform.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CIA86JxAjM
Drones on the opposite side will start to shoot at you. Keep moving the
platform. In the middle, you can see the Sun is already set and the Kryll is
coming out. Keep rolling the wheel. If you get hurt badly by the Drones' fire,
back away from the wheel and take cover then wait for your health to
regenarate before continue moving the platform.
When you reached the other side, exit the platform and go up the stairs. You
don't have to worry about the Drones since the Kryll will take them out later.
Pick up as many ammos and grenades as you can at Checkpoint One then move on.
As you kick the jammed door up ahead, an Emergence Hole will appear on the
other side. If you think you can close it up with a grenade, do it. There'll
be only two Drones and Grenadiers coming up from this hole so kill them. You
may choose to snipe them with your Longshot from inside the building. Do this
by strafing slowly out of the building, shoot, and when you need to reload,
strafe back into the building.
An alternative way to end this hole:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JraPJs4N7U
After the hole is closed, Marcus will start talking.
Pick up the small ammo boxes (Magazine shaped) next to the propane tanks.
Keep lighting your way up and advance. When you reach the first
turn-right-only junction, you should be able to see a Troika at the far end.
Keep proceeding and a fight will begin. A Drone will rush towards the Troika
and start shooting at you. Find cover. There are two more Drones accompanying
the gunner Drone. Snipe the 2 Drones from long range first.
Then when you're reading to take out that gunner, snipe his only exposed
part of the body, his head. But this gunner Drones have hard@$$ protective
head gears so you'll need an single active-reloaded Longshot round in his head
to end him. After you're done, keep lighting the street up and proceed. These
propane tanks are more "naughty" now. They hide behind obstacles which
some times causing you to miss them. They usually hide by the sides of the
streets.
When you're near the Troika's position, you'll have to move through that
building to the left. It seems stupid, but even the rooms in the building to
the left is birghtly-lit, you can still get eaten by Kryll if you don't shoot
the propane tanks inside the building. So, shoot the propane tank inside the
first room and move throught the building. Jump through the window to go near
the Troika for a pair of grenades.
As you start to approach the closed door in the living room, prepare your
chainsaw. A Wretch will come busting out the door when you get close to it,
cut it into half for tonight's dinner. (Man, that damn Wretch scare the sh*t
out of me everytime I reach that part)
Kick open that door and an Emergence Hole will emerge on the other side of
the area. Move through the rooms to the left and flank them from there.
There's a Lancer among the rooms. You can also choose to snipe the Locusts
from here, just be careful for the Wretches that's coming towards your way.
After the hole's shut and it's clear, a Grenadier will rush out with his
Gnasher on the other side, lighting up a propane tank in front of him. Snipe
that Grenadier.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWy4y4Hwi54
After killing that lone Grenadier, enter the building to the left for a pair
of grenades. Then, go to where the last Grenadier came from. Move through the
rooms. When you exit the building, another attack will begin. There'll be a
Troika in the building in front, and a spotter Drone on the second floor of
the right building. Stay in the building and slowly strafe out, with your
Longshot scope zoomed. Then, snipe the Drone on the second floor first.
Try to get and active reload after sniping that spotter Drone, then put the
active-reloaded round into the Troika gunner's head. When it's over, push the
burning car wreckage till it hit something and stops. When it does, another
Drone will come out from the building with the Troika. Snipe his @$$ as well.
*Just a few milimetres away from his head (0:34), dammit:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcmibrlj0vc
Enter the Troika building from the left entrace then ready your chainsaw.
A Drone will be hiding quietly in the room with the Troika so be careful and
cut him into half.
Go to the back of the building. You will see a pair of grenades and a medium
ammo box at the end. From here, shoot the propane tank next to the garbage
bin. Now the alley's bright and it's safe to go through.
Kick open the door and you'll see 2 Drones waiting for you up front. If they
try to get near your cover, that's good. Because if they do, the Kryll will
help to tear them to pieces. After they're killed, turn left and enter the
small courtyard via the courtyard's left entrance. Take cover in the
brightly-lit area.
Pull out your grenades an get ready. An Emergence Hole will appear on the
other side. Throw a grenade right through the gap between the fences on the
other side. You may need a few more tries before you can succesfully close
that hole. If you failed, just pull out your Longshot and start sniping
anything that moves. When that hole's shut, pick up the small ammo boxes
around the area and keep moving until you reach a dark area where Dom will
start to talk.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-XAg-W0XZE
Get in that building and move the light.
Just as Dom requested, light up his path to salvation... :p
Pick up the large ammo box near the spotlight and go down. Pull out your
Longshot before you walk down the stairs cause there's gonna be two Wretches
waiting for you down there. Melee the two Wretches. It's better to tell Dom
to cease fire for now cause he'll most likely to be downed by this time. As
you exit the building, snipe the Drones attacking Dom from here. Go to where
Dom switch on the street lights for a large ammo box when you're done.
When you reached a new checkpoint, get ready your grenades. An Emergence Hole
will appear right in front of you. You can actually close the hole from your
current position by lobbing a grenade through the gap between the two
obstacles in front.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlQQcaga91w
Go inside the building to the left. There will be a pair of grenade, a
Gnasher and a small ammo box. Swap you Longshot with your Gnasher or not?
Well it's basically your choice and I think that both of them are eqaully
useful for the upcoming fights. Anyway, shoot the propane tank through the
window and keep going till you reach Checkpoint 2.

An old man will walk out of that gas station and "greet" you.
Start pumping some gas into the Junker. Look to the right, over the low wall
and you can see a large ammo box.
Go inside the room and you'll find a Longshot and 2 large ammo boxes. Hit
the two electronics on the desk away so that it won't block your view later.
Go near the sealed windows and "ATTACK!" shoutes a standard Drone.
Snipe the Drones from inside the room. Get as much headshots and active
reloads as possible. If anybody tries to get into the building your in,
wait at the entrace and chainsaw them. You can pick up the Longshot for some
ammo if you needed to. After all the Drones are dead, another wave of Locusts
will attack.
This wave includes a Boomer and some Wretches. Go out and take cover behind
the nearest gas pump. While you're doing so, pull out your Longshot and melee
any Wretches that get close. After you're done with the Wretches, the Boomer
should be close to you by now. Tag him a grenade or pump some leads through
his thick skin. (Only do this when he's reloading!)
After this wave is done, revive Dom if he's down. (Which he most of the time
is) Another wave of Standard Drones will attack from the same place the Boomer
came from. Go back into the building and snipe anything that moves. The old
man Stranded will help you to kick Locust asses with his Boltok. Some of the
Drones will try to get into the building you're in so be careful. Just wait
at the entrance and chainsaw them.
When all the Drones are dead, take a deep breath and relax. Go back inside
the room with the two large ammo box and a Longshot sniper rifle to grab some
ammo before a cutscene plays.

------------
Hmm. This is quite an interesting chapter. You're going to drive that Junker
all the way back to where you left Baird and Cole. And on the way, Epic put
in some Kryll swarms just to make this mini-game more, uhm... interesting?
Press X to switch between driving and controlling the UV light, pull the Right
Trigger to accelerate and powerup UV turret, Left Trigger to brake and
reverse or zoom in with UV turret.
Well, what can I say for this chapter? Just drive slowly, and when Kryll
attacks, immediately stop driving and start burning them with the UV turret.
The UV turret can only fire UV lights in short burst, not continuously, so
you gotta have good timing. Also remember that you can pull the Left Trigger
while in UV turret mode to aim. Dom and the Stranded with you will tell you
where the Kryll's coming from, like: 7 O'clock! Behind us! 11 O'clock! or
something like that. Just don't keep driving and ignore the Kryll, they can
fly faster than your Junker.
I can't really walk you through this chapter with words (my english's kinda

Last Stand - Fight along side the Stranded [Lsd016]
----------
Prepare yourself for the next big and long fire fight. Ignore your team mates
and go through the building to the left via the window. You can find 2 pairs
of grenades, one Lonshot and a large ammo box. When you reach the room with
the burning toilet bowl, look down and you'll be able to see an Emergence Hole
starting to appear. Throw a frag in. Then shoot the leftover Drones in the
area. After the Emergence Hole's closed and the Drones are killed, you'll
reach a new checkpoint.
Soon, your guys at the wooden walkway will alert you about Snipers. Go to
where most of your team mates are at and get on the Troika Machine Gun on the
walkway. Shoot the loose concrete block (will be shown in point of interests)
to end the Snipers. After the sniper threat has ended, look to the building to
the right and you'll see some Drones shooting from the roof above. A new point
of interest will appear, showing a leaking gas pipe just above the Drones.
Shoot the gas pipe with your Troika till it explodes, killing the Drones
beneath it.
After the Drones on the roof are dead, a new Emergence Hole will appear on
the left. The hole is too far for grenades so just shoot the Drones that comes
up from the hole. Then, another Emergence Hole will appear near you. Exit the
Troika and lob in a grenade.
When all of the Emergence Holes are closed, a Boomer accompanied by a large
group of Drones will appear from a building. Take cover and wait for the
Boomer to fire. After it fired a Boomshot round, quickly get back on the
Troika and start pumping leads into the Boomer. Do it quickly before it
manages to reload it's Boomshot and blast you to pieces. After you killed the
Boomer, leave the Troika Machine Gun and take cover for your health to
regenarate.
Stop using the Troika from now on cause it's not safe anymore. You will die
within seconds by the Drones' fire if you try to get on that Troika. Go back
to the building where you first enter. Snipe anything that moves from inside
the building. After all of the Grenadiers and Standard Drones are killed,
don't go outside, keep on staying inside the building.
A hugeass Emergence Hole will now appear, revealing a squad of Boomers inside
in it. Throw some grenades in to soften them up. (Don't worry about saving
grenades, there are many of them lying around the area) Slowly strafe out and
start sniping the Boomers. Get to a position where you can see the Boomer's
head but they can't shoot you. Put some Longshot rounds into their heads. Oh,
and also, tell your team mates to cease fire, they won't last long. Be
careful for some of the Boomers may be hiding from your view so slowly walk
along the walkway until you spot the leftovers and take them out.
If you're low on ammo and grenades, leave one of the Boomers alive and go
back into the building to fill yourself up. There's also a medium ammo box,
a pair of grenades and a Longshot at the other end of the wooden walkway. When
you're ready, kill the last one and watch the cutscene. Don't forget to watch
this video if you're stuck.

[6.3] Act 3 - Belly of the Beast
--------
Downpour - Enter Lethia Ilmusion Facility [Dpr017]
--------
What? We fight all the way from the end of act 1 to act 2 to get that damn
Junker and now you're telling me that it's dead? What about all those Kryll
and Boomer fights we've been through? Whatever.
There aren't really much of a fight in this chapter, you'll just need to deal
with some Lambent Wretches. Walk all the way until you reached the factory's
main entrance.
Pick up the large ammo boxes around the area if you're low on them. Not too
soon later, a group of Lambent Wretch will attack. Keep back stepping and shoot
them with your Lancer. If any of them got close, pull out your Longshot and
melee them. It requires two melee hits from the Longshot to kill a Lambent
Wretch, so roll over to the side after each melee to avoid getting hurt by
them. After you're done, there's a boxe next to each of the white vans at the
sides.
When you enter through that entrance, another group of 3 Lambent Wretches
will attack. Keep moving until you've found an elevator.
Power up the generator and go in the elevator. And oh, there will be a
Lambent Wretch waiting for you inside.
Enter the factory and this chapter will end.

---------
Evolution - Keep your distance from dark Wretches [Evo018]
---------
Keep advancing until you reached a room with blood and corpses everywhere.
There's a Snub pistol near the corpse lying on the computer in that room.
Activate the door button and a cutscene will play, showing a Stranded waiting
in the room to be rescued.
Follow the Stranded and let him unlock the door.
You will now meet back Cole and Baird.
Soon, you will reach an area with wooden floors.
Move slowly and keep looking downwards. If you stepped on a weak piece of
wood, you can feel the vibration in your controller and loud cracking sound
can be heard. So, make sure the woods you're on is strong before you move on.
Keep moving until you reach a room with two Lancers in it. Exit the room, and
a Wretch attack will begin. Start shooting the Lambent Wretches in front with
your Lancer. When they got close, it's time to put your Gnasher shotgun into
action. Wait for a Lambent Wretch to come close, then let off a shell and then
rollover to the side. Do this after killing each Lambent Wretch to avoid
getting hurt by the explosions.
If there's too many of them around you, roadie run to the other side of the
area and then start pumping some shells again. This can help you to get out of
the group of Wretches circling around you. And also try to stay near Dom so
that you'll at least have someone watching your back. Keep advancing after
you're done. As you're proceeding, a Lambent Wretch will suddenly appear and
tries to attack you.
Turn the wheel to open up the two locked doors. Later, you will meet a dead
COG soldier's corpse with a Longshot sniper rifle near him. If you think
you're good at handling Lambent Wretches without a Gnasher, swap it up. But
if you're having hard time struggling to get Lambent Wretches off your back,
it's better to keep your Gnasher. You will soon meet back your other team
mates. Turn the wheel to open up the gates.
As you exit to the large room, aim your Lancer on the ceilings to the right.
A Lambent Wretch will suddenly spawn, shoot it before it manages to come down.
A wave of Lambent Wretches will attack. Keep shooting them with your Lancer
before they come down. Use your Longshot's melee or your Gnasher shotgun if
the Lambent Wretches come close. Two more Standard Drones will appear at the
same time. A pair of Standard Drones will appear at the same time, take them
out either by sniping them from afar of shooting them with the Lancer. When
the Drones are down, keep moving and keep your heads high to see if there's
any left over Lambent Wretches.
After you make sure the area's clear, go to the end and kick that jammed
door, and then immediately run backwards as far as you wanted. This is because
a Boomer accompanied by a Grenadier will come down via a platform near that
jammed door. If you have the Longshot, snipe the Grenadier first, then take
down the Boomer from a safe distance. But if you've kept your Gnasher, lob
a grenade under their feet to soften them up and then shoot them with your
Lancer.
Enter the door after the area's clear.

---------------
Coalition Cargo - Mechanized death ride [Cco019]
---------------
There's 2 Gnashers on the floor, swap for it if you think you want to.
Anyway, activate the button in the room to unlock the heavy mechanized door
and get in the cart.
After a while, some Standard Drones will start shooting from the right.
Ignore them. Then there will be a Lambent Wretch coming from the left, ignore
it as well. Now, get ready your Lancer and aim at the top. Some Lambent
Wretches will start to crawl on the top, trying to get on your cart, shoot
them before the manages to come close. After this wave of Lambent Wretches is
over, a Gunner Drone with a Boltok pistol will later appear on the left.
Ignore it if it doesn't hurt you.
As you passes through that Gunner, aim your Lancer on the top again, and
shoot the lone Lambent Wretches that's charging towards you. Later, you will
meet a Boomer shooting from a platform, ignore it as well. The carts should
come to a stop now.
After a little chat with Anya, activate the door button and go in. Pull out
your Gnasher shotgun and activate the next door button. There may be some
Lambent Wretches falling from the ceilings into the room you're in. But if
you're lucky, those Lambent Wretches will only fall into Cole and Dom's side.
Activate the door button again for the second time, and shoot the two Lambent
Wretches that are busy enjoying their food, totally unaware of your presence.
Move to where the two Lambent Wretches are with your Gnasher shotgun ready.
A wave of Lambent Wretches will fall from the right, so be careful. Keep
proceeding after you're done with those Wretches. You will soon be in a long,
straight cart way. Keep Roadie running + Roll over until you reach the end,
ignoring any Lambent Wretches. As you reach the end of the cart way, turn
around just to check if there's any Lambent Wretches following you.
Go to the end of the walkway where the Boomer should appear later on a
drilling platform. Look down and you'll see a Boomer walking slowly to get on
the platform. Start shooting it with your Lancer and dodge it's Boomshot
rounds. When it reached the top, it's most likely to be busy reloading it's
Boomshot. If it does, go near him and "Gnash" him with your Gnasher. (Don't go
too close or he'll hit you with his big hands)
When the Boomer on the platform is down, help Dom and Cole to shoot the other
Boomer on the other platform. Get on the platform and a cutscene will play.

Darkest Before Dawn - Traverse the caves before the Kryll come home [Dbd020]
-------------------
Okay, this is quite a long and boring chapter. There's a Boomshot on the
floor near you although I don't know why it's there. Keep walking until you
reached a T-Junction and Lambent Wretches will attack. There's a Longshot and
two large ammo boxes at the bottom of one of the path. Again, if you think you
can handle Lambent Wretches without a Gnasher, swap your shotgun for the
Longshot. But if you can't it's okay to keep your Gnasher shotgun. After the
Wretch attack, you will be split away from Baird and Cole.
Keep walking. When you hear Lambent Wretches screaming, it's time to pull
your Lancer up and start shooting anything that glows. Keep moving and a
cutscene will play, showing Marcus and Dom falling down.
See the large ammo box next to the corpse? Save it for later. As you move on,
you can hear Grenadier Elite laughing, leading a group of Drones to attack.
Tell Dom to attack while you stay back and snipe the Drones from long range.
Try to snipe Grenadiers first as their Gnashers can post more threat to you.
If anyone got close, stay at your cover and ready your Chainsaw. After you're
done, pick up the ammo boxe you've saved previously. There's also a pair of
grenades from where the Grenadier Elite first appeared.
Proceed and you can see a Sniper trying to snipe you on the far end to the
right. Screw the weakened column thing, just snipe it back or just shoot him
with your Lancer if you don't have the Longshot. As you move on, you can see
a huge piece of rock just fell down right next to you. Prepare your Lancer
cause another wave of Lambent Wretches will attack. Shoot them up with your
Lancer before they manages to get close. Move on and yet another wave of
Lambent Wretches will attack.
After the Wretches are dead, a Boomer will then appear on the other end along
with more Lambent Wretches. Ignore the Boomer for now and focus on the
Wretches first. After the area is cleared of Lambent Wretches, it's time to
take out that big guy. Snipe it or shoot it with your good ol' Lancer. Since
you're so far away from it, dodging it's Boomshot rounds is a piece of cake.
There's two large ammo boxes hiding in the shadows on the left.
When you're done, move on. You will then encounter a dead COG soldier's
corpse with a fully loaded Gnasher near him. I think this time, it's better
to swap away your Longshot for that Gnasher. Keep moving and you and Dom
will fall down again.
A tough Lambent Wretch fight is waiting around the corner. Take cover behind
that "L" shaped low wall near a large ammo box. You will start to hear Lambent
Wretches screaming on the top of their lungs. Aim your Lancer upwards and
start shooting those wall-crawlers. When they manages to go near you, you know
what to do... Yeah, right, pull out your Gnasher and start pumping some
shells. Just like before, roll over to the side after you killed a Lambent
Wretch to avoid getting hurt by the explosions. Roadie run to the other end of
the area if you're surrounded. And also keep telling Dom to regroup if he's
far away from you.
Don't forget to pick up that large ammo box when you're done. You will soon
reach a fork.

Move forward and Locusts will start to attack. Fall back and start shooting
the Lambent Wretches before they manages to come close. And also don't go to
forward or you'll gonna be killed by the Drones on the right. Shoot the lone
Standard Drone on your side first. Before proceeding, check the right path to
make sure that there aren't any Locusts left. One more lone Lambent Wretch
will attack, marking the end of the first wave. You don't have to worry about
Dom getting downed cause he won't be.
Keep moving and the second wave of Locusts will attack. This wave consists of
two Standard Drones and probably some Lambent Wretches. Look up and kill any
leftover Lambent Wretches. There will be two Standard Drones and a Grenadier
on Dom's side, help him to take them out. After you're done, you will be with
Dom again.
______________________________________________________________________________

+++++
Keep proceeding until you triggered the Locusts' appearence. Then, fall back
and take cover. There will be one and only one Standard Drone with a
Hammerburst on your side for now. Ignore it first. Instead, start shooting the
charging Lambent Wretches before they can get close to you. Focus back on the
Drone when your path is clear of Lambent Wretches.
Pick up the large ammo box before moving on. When you trigger the Locusts'
appearence again, fall back and take cover. Just like before, shoot the
Lambent Wretches first. Then, shoot the Standard Drone on your side. After
killing the Standard Drone, move on. Keep your heads high to check if there
are any Lambent Wretches crawling on top. If you spotted them, shoot them
before they can drop down and harm you.
Move on, and another two more Grenadier Elites will appear. They're very
aggresive so be careful with them. Use your chainsaw when it's safe to and
just pray that Dom will help to eliminate one of them.
Keep moving and you and Dom will be together again.

Go down the slope on the right to grab some ammo and grenades. There's a
Lancer, a large ammo box and two pairs of grenades. After filling yourself
up, advance and you'll encounter another wave of Locusts. Shoot the three
Lambent Wretches crawling on top first before they can come close. After
you're done with the Lambent Wretches, kill the Grenadier Elite that's most
likely to charge towards you with his Gnasher. Then take out the Standard
Drones in the area one by one.
After the first wave is over, the second wave will follow. This wave consists
of 3 Standard Drones. Take them out. Later when you move on, you'll encounter
a Corpser, pulling back when it saw you.

Angry Titan - David versus Goliath [Atn021]
-----------
Oh yeah, finally! You can now fight the bastard who has followed you all the
way from the beginning of Act 1. Don't worry, this won't be a hard one.
In fact, you can even beat it in less than a minute! Well, move on until the
big-@$$ spider shows up.
When the fight begins, you will notice that your camera will be zoomed back
a little bit, so that you can move around more easily. Go near it (not too
near!) and start finding for a gap between it's claws. When you got a clear
shot of it's belly, shoot it. If you done it correctly, it will scream like
a women who's about to give birth with it's mouth open wide. Put some bullets
into it's mouth and it will fall back a few steps in pain. When it's falling
back, go near it so that you can have another clear shot.
When it recovers, try to shoot it's belly again. Shoot it's mouth when it
screams. Remember to keep a safe distance away from it! Keep repeating this
process as fast as you can so that you don't have to deal with those
annoying Lambent Wretches. After you made it fall back for the third time,
shoot and destroy the two connecters on both sides to disconnect the island
the Corpser is on. If you don't know where it is, a Point of Interest will
show you. After destroying the two connectors, and that's it! Probably the
most ridiculous boss fight I've ever encounter.
If you killed it fast enough, you won't have to deal with the Lambent
Wretches. And if you ran out of ammo, you can always pick up the large ammo
boxes by the sides.

Tip Of The Iceberg - More mysteries found [Tot022]
------------------
First off, lemme tell you one thing. This is one of the chapters in the game
that can make you go mad and smash your controller or TV. Remember, patience
is the key to beating this game on Insane. If you died repeatedly and got
frustrated or annoyed, take a break. One of the most frustrating thing in this
chapter is not the Theron Guards you'll encounter, but it's the checkpoint
system. If you died, you will have to start all over from the beginning of the
chapter again and you're gonna walk all the way to the station again and
again, which takes about 2 minutes.
Anyway, let's begin. Keep walking until you see a large ammo box. After
walking pass that ammo box, a Point of Interest will show you a Torque Bow
next to a COG soldier's corpse. Well, I recommend you to pick that up cause
this weapon is quite effective against those tough-@$$ Theron Guards. You
will then meet a fork in your path. You can choose attack from the right too,
but I think it's better to go from the left cause Baird and Cole will take
care the right path. While you're walking, a short cutscene will give you a
little "preview" of the Theron Guards.
After the cutscene, don't enter the station yet. Instead, take cover on one
of the low wall facing the side of the station. After chatting with Baird and
Dom, the fight will begin. From the side, you should be able to see some
Theron Guard. Use the Torque Bow first cause it's more deadly and effective at
long range. If you see any orange light on the Theron Guards' Torque Bow, get
down and pop up again when they reload. When Dom made it to the station, it's
time to leave your cover and join the party.
Take cover behind the two mini pillars at the entrance to the station just to
make sure if there's any Theron Guards waiting for you on top. When you
verified that it's clear, go up and find cover. Tell your team mates to attack
for now. Always be in cover and look around just to see if there's any Theron
Guard pointing at you with their Torque Bows. If there are, switch to a safer
cover. Try to chainsaw as much as you can as it's a one hit kill. Slowly
advance on the right side of the station. Make sure it's clear of Therons
before you move on to the next cover!
If you're face to face with a Theron Guard at long range, wait for him to
fire first. Then, aim and charge your Torque Bow at where he last appeared.
Once he pop up again, release the bow and watch those meats fly. Try to revive
any team mates that's downed. And also, make sure the situation's safe before
you try to revive them! You wouldn't want a Torque arrow to hit you. Use your
Torque Bow on the Theron Guards until it's empty, then pull out your Lancer
and start shooting as usual.
After the first wave of Theron Guards is dead, advance. When you're almost at
the end of the station, another wave of Locusts will attack. There are some
Theron Guards, Standard Drones and Grenadiers in that wave, so be careful.
If you're surrounded or flanked, fall back and find a better cover. It's best
to stay in cover and wait for a Locust to come near you. Then when it does,
it's chainsaw time! When it's finally over, pick up the grenades, Torque Bows
and large ammo boxes in the area before activating the elevator button.
Well, what else can I say? I can't really walk you through this part cause
there are multiple ways to engage the enemies from various location. Just
remember to always stay in cover, and make sure the area's clear of Theron
Guards before you move on to the next cover. And remember kids, what's the
key word for beating this game on Insane? Patience!
Hooray! Another Act is over!

[6.4] Act 4 - The Long Road Home
--------------
Campus Grinder - Bullies on the playground [Cgr023]
--------------
Looks like our job is far more than done, huh? Anyway, let's move on.
I highly recommend you to attack from the left flank cause it's the fastest
route to the building in front and Dom and Baird will take care of the centre
path. Slowly advance from the left flank. Cole should be accompanying you by
the left path.
The enemy locations in this area is various and changes everytime you restart
the game, so I can't really tell you the exact location where the enemies will
appear. Most of the times, there will be a Standard Drone with a Lancer, a
Grenadier Elite and some Grenadiers on the left path. Make the charging
Grenadier Elite on the left your top priority. Then, focus on the Standard
Drone with the Lancer and lastly the Grenadiers. Be careful cause there may be
grenades thrown under your feet.
Oh, don't forget to use your Torque Bow to ease things up. And also be
careful for the Sniper sniping from inside the building. Slowly make your
way to the building facing the courtyard. Kill the Standard Drones and
Grenadiers in front of the building behind the sandbags before you move in.
If the Sniper hasn't come out yet, go in that building and chainsaw his @$$.
Be careful, for there might be a Grenadier Elite waiting to pump you with his
Gnasher inside the building.
Once you made it inside the building, tell your team mates to regroup. Baird
and Dom are most likely to be downed by now. If they are, never mind. Pick up
the Sniper's Longshot and start sniping the Theron Guards appearing on the
other end of the courtyard. If you ran out of Longshot rounds, pick up the
large ammo box just outside of the building. Do it quick or you're gonna get
killed by one of those Theron Guards. Keep sniping until all of the Theron
Guards and Standard Drones on the other side are dead.
When the Theron Guard wave is over, your fallen team mates should get up by
themselves now. A new wave will the appear on the left side. There will be
a pair of Boomers and a pair of Snipers sniping from the windows in the left
building. If you still got the Torque Bow, penetrate an arrow into their body
and watch them go ***Boom!***. But if you still got plenty of ammo for your
Longshot, you can just try to snipe them out. Ignore the Snipers for now as
they won't post much threat to you. But if you like Indiana Jones movies, run
to the Boomers when they're reloading and tag each of them with a grenade.
When the Boomers are downed, the cowardly Snipers will shout "Fall back" and
run like a mice being chased down by some cats. There's two large ammo boxes
near the building you're in, a medium ammo box near the exit gate of the
courtyard, a pair of grenades near where the wave of Theron Guards are and
a Torque Bow in one of the three rooms where the Theron Guards spawned. Keep
moving and choose which path you wannna go.
______________________________________________________________________________
++++
Left
++++
If you choose this path, you're gonna move through the buildings ahead of
you. Turn left before you go up the stairs for a pair of grenades and a
Lancer. As you reach the top of the stairs, you will hear some hissing sounds.
Chainsaw the Theron Guard and pick up it's Torque Bow. Take cover and start
sniping the Locusts below with the Torque Bow. Get down if you see any orange
light pointing towards you or you're doomed. Also remember to make the Theron
Guards your top priority before taking out the other Drones.
When you're done sniping, swap away your Torque Bow for the Longshot nearby.
Then go back and pick up the large ammo box by the window. Keep moving and you
will encounter a Seeder. Go inside the room with lockers in it. Be careful for
Grenadier Elite! Hide behind the lockers so that the Grenadier Elite can't
hurt you and use your Longshot to melee any Wretches that attack you. Once
you've make sure the area's clear of Wretches, melee the Grenadier Elite from
it's back.
There may be more Wretches so be careful. Swap away your Longshot for the
Hammer of Dawn on the floor. Be careful not to face the window while you're
swapping or your Longshot will drop on the ground floor. Take cover and zap
the Seeder. After the Seeder is dead, keep holding on your Hammer Of Dawn and
aim on the COG logo thing. A Emergence Hole will start appearing. Aim at one
of the Locusts that crawls out and then hammer the hole to close it up. Keep
Hammering the left overs.
When you're done, swap back your Longshot. Dom will tell you that his path
is blocked and you'll need to help him. Keep going and turn the wheel to
unlock the gate blocking Dom and Cole. There's a Gnasher on your way but I
don't quite recommend you to swap it cause you're going to do some sniping
later. Keep moving until you reached another building with broken walls.
Two Wretches will come charging towards you as soon as you get in so be
careful. After the Wretches, look outside and you can see Drones shooting at
Cole and Dom. Snipe everything that moves. There's a Sniper on the second
floor, take him out first. When the first wave is over, another wave will
follow. A Gunner Drone will get on the Troika on the far left building while
a Grenadier Elite and a Standard Drone will bust out from the building across
the street.
Ignore the Gunner for now and snipe the Drones below first. Once you've got
an active reload after sniping one of them with your Longshot, put that
active-reloaded round into the Gunner Drone's head. He won't be able to hurt
you at this kind of distance so don't worry. That active-reloaded round should
take that Gunner down if you've done it right. Then snipe any leftover Drones
you see below. When it's all clear, go down the building.
Three Wretches will greet you as you reach the bottom. Melee the Wretches,
and go near the building with the Troika Machine Gun. There maybe some Drones
hiding inside so chainsaw them if there are. Once the building is clear of
enemies, shoot the propane tanks to blow up the car, creating a explosion,
thus breaking the locked gate. Move on and a cutscene will play.
______________________________________________________________________________
+++++Right
+++++
Choose this path if you want more action. Enter the courtyard from the right
and shoot the lone Grenadier advancing on the right first. After it's dead,
go near Baird and start shooting along with him. Two more Grenadiers will
attack, one from the left while the other will attack through centre. Be
careful not to get flanked by them.
After killing all two Grenadiers, two Therons will join in the party. Stay
in cover when you see orange glow and shoot only when they're not pointing
their Torque Bow towards you. You can also try to use your chainsaw while they
are reloading. Use your Torque Bow to ease things up if you wanted to.
Move on and you will reach another courtyard with a Seeder. Eliminate the two
Standard Drones in the area first. Also remember to look up to see if there
are any Nemacyst floating near you. When the area's clear of Drones, take care
of the Seeder using that Hammer Of Dawn next to that dead COG soldier's
corpse. See the COG cross-shaped rock stone? Move away from it while you're
hammering the Seeder.
When the Seeder died, prepare your grenades. An Emergence Hole will appear
under that rock stone. Lob a grenade in before the Drones and Therons can get
on the surface.
Keep moving. After moving through the buildings, you will soon find yourself
in a large, opened outdoor area. Take cover behind one of the car wreckage
and some Wretches will charge at you. Use your Torque Bow's melee to hit any
Wretches that come close. There will be a total of 6 Wretches.
As you feel that you've already killed 6 Wretches, you can now focus on the
Drones in the area. There is a total of 2 Standard Drones with Lancers along
with a Grenadier Elite. When it's clear, move near the building ahead of you.
You can see a Standard Drone with a Hammerburst shooting somewhere in front
of the building. Kill it and yet another Standard Drone with a Lancer will
charge out of the building. Kill it and move through the building.
Move pass the lecture hall until you see a bridge linking to the building
on the other side. Get on that bridge and take cover behind the sandbags. A
couple of Standard Drones will be on the bridge too. Wait behind your
sandbags for them to jumpover it. When they do, chainsaw time! If you only
encounter one Standard Drone on the bridge, chances are the other one is
inside the building waiting for you. So get your chainsaw rev-ed up when
entering the building. If the Troika Gunner below is still standing, shoot
him from above.
When you're done, go down. Shoot the propane tank near the white pick up
truck to blow open the fence. Move on and a cutscene will play.

Bad To Worse - Enjoy the local flora and fauna [Btw024]

Keep moving. There's a Hammer Of Dawn on the ground swap it if you like it
but if you prefer sniping you can keep your Longshot. Keep moving until you
reached a jammed door. Kick it and get ready your grenades. Keep Roadie run
+ rollover to where you first came from. When you reached the junction, you
can see an Emergence Hole is slowly emerging. Throw in a grenade before any
Wretches or Drones manages to crawl out.
A pair of Boomers will t
