|Changes.
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
Version 1 - My frist version of the guide. So pretty much the whole guide
was done in one shot. Woot.
Version 2 - Fixed some spelling. Also changed the location of Roof Race
#11, Ascending the Cells. I totally missed the mark on that race's
location, but it's been fixed now. Also made a note on the Alleys of the
Den race. Namely, that I goddamn hate it.
Version 3 - Unfortunately, due to complaints, I went through and removed
most of the unnecessary profanity. I understand the value of having a
clean (ish) guide, or maybe I'm just in a funny mood. This should be the
last change this guide will have.

|Introduction.
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
So yeah. Welcome to my listing... thing. Nothing fancy here. No big ASCII
artwork, no table of contents. It's a freaking list, for crying out
loud, and a pretty straightforward one at that, so none of that stuff is
necessary.
This is my first contribution to the Game FAQS. So cut me some slack if it
doesn't look that great. In all honesty, I probably won't be doing too
terribly many of these, and I guess we're all better off like that, but be
assured that if I ever do more, I'll be treating you, my anonymous reader,
the same way each time. I'll be straightforward, cut through the crap, to
the bones. Nobody should be getting confused here.
Also, I wasn't intending to be completely family friendly, so if you don't want
your kids to swear, keep them away, please. I'm not gonna be cursing left
and right, not by a long shot, but if your kid happens to walk up to you
with a new penis joke, not my fault, okay?
After all, penis jokes are out of style anyway. (And frankly, you should be
keeping an eye on what your kids are playing. Crackdwon is rated M for a
reason. It's quite possible they aren't getting my swears from me.)

| What's Crackdown?
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
Normally you'd find a so-and-so description of what the game in question is
about. But frankly, I'm terrible at telling others what a game's about.
And I mean I'm really no good at it. It should be said that if
you're reading this guide, then you know what Crackdown is about, and that
it's also, in a word, AWESOME.
I suppose one way to describe it is: "It's like Grand Theft Auto. For those
of us who don't like killing cops and hookers."
In this game, there are races you can run from time to time. When you do
them, hell, IF you do them is completely up to you. These races are
completely optional. The biggest payout from them, though, comes in two
forms. First, when you beat a race within the time limit, you'll get a
large bonus added to your skill gauge depeding on which kind of race it was
based on: Agility for Rooftop races, Driving for Road races. Also, when you
complete all of a certain type of race, you'll get an acheivement for doing
so, along with it's accompanying gamerscore added to yours. So hey! More
points for you, right?
Also, there are bad guys to kill.
But you knew this.
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
|So... How's this work?
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
So here's how it goes. I give you the name of the race, its general
location in a region, then the simplest instruction. on how to get there
from the nearest supply point. It goes without saying that it helps if
you already have the supply points in question.
Once you get close to the gate of light that signifies the starting point
of the race, it'll be easy to discern where it is exactly from both the
radar and from looking with your own peepers.
And keep in mind: this is just for locating the races. Don't expect me to
tell you how to run them. I'm not gonna do all the work for you. That'll
take the fun out of the game. :3
One small note about the race points: I've been to all of them personally, so
don't tell me they're not there. There's a small glitch with the game that
can sometimes cause the races to not appear at all. I think it's somehow tied
to Extracting yourself back to a checkpoint. Anyway, the only way I know of
to fix a bugged race is to simply quit the game and restart it. This resets
all the little things, and races are included.
So here we go.
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
|The list.
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
ROOFTOP RACES. These races were specifically made to be done on foot. Most of
these races require you to have an agility of two stars or more, and needless
to say, the higher your agility, the better off you are.
Also, you'll probably pass by a lot of Agility orbs while doing these.
Best to avoid them for now and focus on getting a fast time. You can re-run
the race later and pick them up as you please.
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
1. Los Muertos Rooftops
Location: Los Muertos, southern island.
From Nearest Supply Point: Go north from the Hillside Housing
supply point.
3. Rooftop Acrobatics
Location: Los Muertos, southern island.
From Nearest Supply Point:South from the Royal Vista supply point.
Hell, it's literally across the street.
3. Around the Wheel
Location: Los Muertos, southern island.
From Nearest Supply Point: Just head south from the Social Security
supply point. Towards the big, flashy ferris wheel thats pretty much
visible from any buiilding high enough.
4. La Mugre Skyline
Location: Los Muertos, southern island.
From Nearest Supply Point: Dude, you can see it immediately when you
spawn from the Social Scurity supply point. You can't miss it.
5. Top of the World
Location: The Agency.
From Nearest Supply Point: Just hop your way out of the Agency
garage and head over to the east. You'll see them fast enough.
6. Watch Your Step
Location: The Agency.
From Nearest Supply Point: See Top of the World. They're in the
same courtyard.
7. Leap of Faith
Location: The Agency.
From Nearest Supply Point: Climb out of the Agency Garage, and head
to the southwestern area.
8. Goin' Home
Location: Los Muertos, southern island.
From Nearest Supply Point: It's practically next to the Los Muertos
Rooftop race. So head north from the Hillside Housing supply point.
Just a tip: You will learn to hate this race. Keep a fast vehicle
nearby, as a lot of this race happens on the road.
9. The Wolf's Teeth
Location: Volk, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: Just head northeast from the Retreat.
Of the two western bridges connecting to northern Volk, it should
be near the rightmost one.
10. Wings Are for Suckers
Location: Shai-Gen, northern island
From Nearest Supply Point: You'll find this race in the park to the
north-northeast of the Comfortitude, LTD. supply point.
11. Ascending the Cells
Location: Volk, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: Head pretty much directly south from
Maxim's Arch. It's right there, not a very long trip.
12. High Volk-age
Location: Volk, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: This race is south of the Retreat supply
point. It's by the giant statue of the Volk's logo. You know,
the hand holding the red cog.

ROAD RACES. Please note, that these races require vehicles to complete.
You can run through the markers on foot, sure. But it's the fact remains
that these races were designed with vehicles in mind, and simply nobody can
run fast enough.
Also, I would recommend you do these with Agency vehicles. They perform a
hell of a lot better than the normal cars you can jack, and they last
a lot longer. Plus, in the case of the Supercar, you don't really have to
worry about traffic, since you're just scooping them up and away as you go.
I'll still be using the supply points, but as landmarks now. Use them to find
the general location of where you need to drive.
|||:::::::::::::...........................................................
1. Hillside High
Location: Los Muertos, northern island.
From Nearest Supply Point: A short trip northeast from Garcia Point.
It's by Diaz's racetrack.
2. La Mugre Alleys
Location: Los Muertos, southern island.
From Nearest Supply Point: It's a short trip north of Hillside
Housing.
3. Tour the Den
Location: Volk, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: Go south from the Retreat supply point.
4. The Freeway Gauntlet
Location: Volk, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: Head west from the Storage Facility
supply point. 'Nuff said.
5. The Alleys of the Den
Location: Volk, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: Head north up the road at Maxim's Arch.
You'll see the race on your radar for sure. Also, I'm declaring
this to be the most fucking evil race in the game. Lots of small
tunnels, no room for error, and an insanely short time to run it.
You'll probably go through this race a damn lot, since you pretty
much need a perfect run to pull it off. Best of luck, and do try
not to shoot yourself in the head out of frustration.
6. Shai-Gen Shopper's
Location: Shai-Gen, western island
From Nearest Supply Point: This one's south of the Bubble supply
point. Bring your SUV to this one, as there's lots of stairs
to go up and down in the beginning. Also, don't be afraid to
run over people. It'll be impossible to not do so in this race,
so might as well go all out, right?
7. City Park Burnout
Location: Shai-Gen, northern island
From Nearest Supply Point: A quick stop north of the Comfortitude,
LTD. supply point. It's right next to the only pond in the park.
8. Shai-Gen Tourist
Location: Shai-Gen, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point:It's a small trip west from the
Intellicenter. Definitely bring the Supercar.
9. Crazy Horse
Location: Los Muertos, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: This race is just a little southeast of
the Hillside Housing supply point.
10. The Volk Endurance Test
Location: Volk, northern island
From Nearest Supply Point: It's across the bridge from the Hi-Power
Tower supply point.
11. The Los Muertos Endurance Test
Location: Los Muertos, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: Head north from the Pacific City Bank
supply point.
12. The Widowmaker
Location: Volk, northern island
From Nearest Supply Point: Go up the bridge by the Hi-Power Tower,
and take a left. The race is down the road; you'll see it.
13. Off-Road Chaos
Location: Los Muertos, northern island
From Nearest Supply Point: It's right by Garcia Point. Can't miss
it.
14. La Mugre Coast
Location: Los Muertos, southern island
From Nearest Supply Point: It'll show up on your radar when you
emerge from the Royal Vista supply point. The race is behind
Guerra's nightclub.
