*B) Introduction:*
******************

Hello, and welcome to my Achievement Walkthrough for Star Trek: Legacy! This
FAQ is primarily for the Xbox 360 version of the game, as the PC title itself
has no achievements to speak of. However, several strategies I've come up
with can be used to defeat the levels in specific ways no matter which version
you use.

This FAQ is not completed as of yet. If you check my Gamer Tag in the Contact
Info section, you will see I have not yet achieved every achievement
(ha ha ha :P). I'm working hard to accomplish all of them so I can share my
strategies with everyone who wishes to obtain all the achievements in the
game. Some of them are downright difficult, and they're going to take a lot of
work and probably more than a few tries to earn even if you follow my guide.
There are simply too many factors you cannot control within the game that will
eventually mess you up at one point or another. Other than that, I hope this
guide helps you in your quest to achieve the 1000 Gamer Points avaliable to
earn in Star Trek: Legacy. Just try not to brag about them too much, or you
may face the Wrath of Khan :P.

*D) Achievement Walkthrough:*
*****************************

Before we begin, I just want to stress that all of these achievements are much
easier to obtain on Ensign difficulty. I seriously suggest you attempt to earn
them on that difficulty setting, as it will save you a lot of time and
frustration. No one can tell that's what you earned them on anyways, so you may
as well right? Even though I earned some achievements on the Captain
difficulty, I'm writing this guide from what I experienced during Ensign. So
again, I stress that you use the Ensign difficulty to earn these!

A1) Starfleet Academy Graduate
*******************************************************************************

This one is simple: Complete the first game mission. Just do what you're
told to do and you'll have no problems. It's really hard to fail the
first level of the game, unless you're a lowly Targ!

A2) Captain Archer Award
*******************************************************************************

Another straight forward achievement. Simply beat all the missions with
Captain Archer. You'll get this one as you complete the game, so don't
     worry about it.

A3) Admiral Kirk Award
*******************************************************************************

Same as the Captain Archer Award, but now with Admiral Kirk. Just
continue to finish the game and you'll get this eventually.

A4) Starfleet Ensign
*******************************************************************************

Beat the game on Ensign difficulty.

A5) Starfleet Captain
*******************************************************************************

Beat the game on Captain difficulty

A6) Starfleet Admiral
*******************************************************************************

Beat the game on Admiral difficulty

A7) T'Pol Award
*******************************************************************************

To get this one you need to complete the Enterprise Era without losing a
single ship. To do this, all you need to do is make sure you never
move forward to the next level or save if you lose a ship during a
mission. If you do lose a ship during a mission, you may as well abort and
start over. Incase you weren't paying attention, make sure to check how
many of your own ships you lost in the tally screen at the end of each
mission. If it lists 0, then feel free to proceed. As long as you're on
Ensign difficulty, and always monitor your fleets Hull status, you should
pull this off without any problems. Just be more cautious if you try to
     earn this on higher difficulties.

A8) Spock Award
*******************************************************************************

Same as the T'Pol Award, only now for the Original Series Era.

A9) Riker Award
*******************************************************************************

Same as the T'Pol/Spock Awards, only now for the Next Generation Era.

A10) Guardian of Epsilon Theta
*******************************************************************************

To accomplish this, you need to protect all the medical ships in
"Be My Shepherd". This is harder than it sounds. By this point I was
using only three ships. I had the Enterprise, the Coto, and a Yorktown.
If you have a fourth, great. I don't think it'll be much of an extra
     help, however.

Start by "assigning" one ship to every science vessel. The best way to
manage this is by using your overhead map. Split every ship into its own
group and manually plot paths for them to follow. Just ensure each one
tails a seperate science vessel. One ship will be plenty enough to take
on any "futile" resistance that's encountered, so don't worry about
being spread too thin. Your first encounter will always be on the far
left of your map at Epsilon Theta 1.

When you see a Romulan ship floating around a science vessel, immediately
go to the nearest ships view and target the Romulan fighter. Take it
down, or at least distract it before it damages the science vessel.
When you're done, return to your overhead map and continue to check the
area for any nearby Romulan fighters. More and more will show up as the
mission progresses, so you may need to target a fighter with one ship,
and then select another one and go after that, letting the AI handle the
encounter for you in the meantime. If you fall too far behind the ship
you were watching, quickly warp back to it. This is really all you can
do to prevent the science vessals from being destroyed. If you don't
spread your forces out you WILL run into problems. I got this one on
the first try, so it shouldn't be as hard to accomplish as you might
think. You really need to be paying attention to all three ships at once
though, as they will at one point all be attacked at the same time by
     one or more ships.

One last thing... DO NOT ENGAGE THE ROMULAN OUTPOST. It will simply
distract you and provide the perfect opportunity for Romulan ships to
sneak up on and attack the science vessels you need to protect. All you
need to do to win the mission is let the vessels cure the planets, so
     just ignore the outpost.

A11) Protector of Encaria
*******************************************************************************

This achievement is earned by keeping the spore count below 1000 in the
"Poisoned Hive". Again, I only had three ships. Enterprise, Coto and a
Yorktown. A fourth might help, but you don't need it. I personally earned
it with a spore count of 700.

If you have played this mission, you will know that EVERY planet in the
area has one plague processing station nearby. So in order to keep the
spore count low, you're going to need to destroy these plants as fast as
you possibly can. Once again, the only way to accomplish this is to
spread out your fleet. Again, one ship per area will be fine. If you have
to do this more than once, just practice micromanaging your ships
seperately until you get the hang of it. Everything should fall into place
     afterwards.

Begin by trigging the first Non-Interactive scene in the level (It should
be the one where you're told to follow the Romulan toxin transporter).
Quickly go to your over-head map. Make the Enterprise follow the
transporter. Assign your other two or three ships to warp to different
planets each. I picked the one on the far left, the very top of the map,
and,if you have a third ship, one of the ones on the far right. You will
be able to see the	processing plants, but will not be allowed to engage
them (I guess Starfleet doesn't want to go around destroying deadly
Romulan science stations BEFORE they become dangerous to the entire
galaxy. It would go against the Prime Directive and all that kind of
stuff). There won't be any ships around either, so your fleet will be
     fine.

Continue following the main mission with the Enterprise only. You
shouldn't have too much trouble. Just give all power to shields and
weapons. You won't need speed for this mission. Eventually a movie will
play where Archer tells you you're going to have to destroy every
Romulan station in the quadrant. Suddenly you're able to attack those
stations you've been waiting at. Quickly assign the Enterprise to warp
to a planet not occupied by one of your other 2 or 3 ships. Then select
each other ship individually. Order each one to attack the station
nearest to them. IGNORE THE SHIPS ATTACKING YOU. Seriously, you don't
need to engage them, and time is of the essence. When you've destroyed a
station with one ship, order it to another unoccupied one or one that
could use help. Then take over a different ship and manually destroy
the station nearest to it. Keep doing this, and make sure your ships
are always attacking the stations only. Once all the stations are
destroyed the toxin meter stops counting.

If you do this quick enough, you should come well under 1000 points of
toxin. If you were under 1000 you're good. If you weren't, start the
mission again, and practice destroying the stations individually with
one ship at a time. The achievement will be yours soon enough.

A12) Tyburn Shockwave
*******************************************************************************

Nice to have an easier achievement after that last one. This one is
earned on "Stirring the Hive". To obtain it, you need to disable 12+
ships using the EMP from the four Vulcan space stations.

There's actually not much to earning this achievement. Simply go through
the mission. When Reg tells Archer of the plan to use the Vulcan stations
as EMP pulses, just hang tight and watch your over-head map carefully.
The Romulans will begin attacking the Vulcan stations. Wait until a good
number of ships is surrounding one of the stations (or until the station
is close to being destroyed), and then warp to it. Don't worry about the
high number of enemies since you won't be fighting any. Just target the
central station and hail it. It'll send out a shockwave disabling all
     nearby ships.

I got the achievement using only the two farthest stations alone, so it
should be fairly easy to get this one as long as you let enough ships
gather at one time. Just work on timing and the achievement is yours.

A13) Lone Wolf of Makus
*******************************************************************************

Obtained on "The Squeeze". This one can easily be done in conjunction
with achievement A13 (Pacifist of Makus) if you wish. If you don't combine
them, then you'll be doing the mission three times to get all the
     achievements.

In the end, all you need to do is complete the mission without capturing
any of the Klingon starbases. Can't be any more straight forward than
that. I suggest reading my strategy for achievement A13 to save yourself
time and do everything in one shot. But I would also consider doing
     achievement A14 before this one.

A14) Liberator of Makus
*******************************************************************************

Another achievement obtained on "The Squeeze". Simply capture all the
Klingon star bases on the way to the first objective (the special
Klingon ship), and you'll get it. It's that easy.

You can do this in conjunction with obtaining achievements A13 and A15,
but I wouldn't suggest it. It's possible the starbases will end up
killing one of the Klingon ships, which will not allow you to obtain
achievement A15 without completing the level again. I would do this as a
     mission of its own.

Best thing to do is simply capture the bases, get the achievement, abort
the mission, and move on to getting the other two Makus achievements
together. But hey, it's all up to you.

A13) Pacifist of Makus
*******************************************************************************

The final Makus achievement. To earn this, NO KLINGON SHIPS MUST BE
DESTROYED DURING THE ENTIRETY OF THE MISSION. That's right. Yes it is
insane... But it is also possible. Infact, it's downright easy if you
     play your cards right.

There are many ways you can pull this off, but I'll tell you how I did it.
Once again, I only had three ships. Enterprise, a Yorktown (saving it for
the Antique Collector achievement), and a Proxima class. Honestly though,
you can do this with any set-up. You really only need the Enterprise.

When the mission begins, warp straight towards the Klingon	shipyard. Do
NOT capture any of the starbases. They may kill enemy ships on retreat,
which kills your chances of getting this achievement. Besides, by ignoring
them you get the added bonus of obtaining achievement A13 without doing
the mission an extra time. If you go straight down the middle the bases
will ignore you anyways, so it's all good.

Ok, so you've arrived at the shipyard. The special Klingon ship you need
to steal will arrive. Command ALL of your ships to attack it. It should
be the only Klingon War Bird in the area. You can identify it easily in
the normal view anyways since it's	the only ship that looks like it does.
Just make sure none of your ships are attacking any other Klingon vessels.

When the War Bird is down, command every ship but the Enterprise to warp
far, far away. I put them by the starbase at the beginning of the level.
The last thing you want is for any of them to be destroyed, or worse,
destroy a Klingon ship. Now, get the Enterprise to go full power on
shields, and tow that ship as fast as you can go. Don't go full engines
or you won't be going as far as you may think. You need to be able to
take a good chunk of damage, as every Klingon vessel in the quadrant
will be tailing your ass. Stay between all the planets and starbases
and just run for your own base.

Now, there's no way you can make this in one shot. You'll be going way
too slow. Watch your damage indicator. When your hull is halfway red,
drop the ship and warp as far away as you can from everything. As long
as it's no where in the middle area, you're ok. I usually warp into the
bottom right corner, and then the bottom left later on. Set your hull
to repair and lick your wounds. Yes, some ships stay to attack the ship
you're stealing. They can't destroy it so don't worry. Instead, worry
about the 6 or so Klingon ships following you. Just keep warping away
until your shields are back and your hull is mostly fixed. Now warp
back to the ship you need to tow. See? By luring the other	ships far
away, you've got plenty of time to grab the ship and tow it as far as
you can again. As a bonus, the ships that stayed behind to attack the
Klingon ship will completely ignore you, so you can just ignore them :P.

Just rinse and repeat. Eventually you'll reach your starbase and the
mission will end. And assuming you killed no Klingons... the
     achievement is unlocked!

A14) Agile Predator
*******************************************************************************

     Achievement for "Behind Enemy Lines".

     In Progress

A15) Brazen Warrior
*******************************************************************************

This one is easy. Just don't ever cloak yourself during the entire mission
of "Behind Enemy Lines". The only hard part here is completing the mission
without the element of suprise. My only suggestion is run. Just scan the
objectives and run as fast as you can. Right after that third scan you're
home free, so just get it all over with quickly before something blows you
     up.

A16) Hero of Kathra
*******************************************************************************

A "Firestorm" achievement. As soon as the mission begins, warp to the
help of the Proxima class ship near the Klingon mining base on your middle
left of the over-head map. You'll see the ship is being hassled by a few
Klingon ships. Blow the suckers out of the	wat... uh, space. Once that's
done, you'll see a quick movie and the achievement will be unlocked.

A17) Scourge of Kathra
*******************************************************************************

In progress. But my understanding is you simply need to complete
"Firestorm" with all objectives complete, and the Proxima must be alive.

A18) Champion of the Fleet
*******************************************************************************

This one is for "At the Gates". As long as you don't let any friendly
vessels blow up during the whole mission, this one is yours. This is
actually easier than it sounds, but at the same time harder in a new way.

You see, you can actually keep your friends away from battle for the
entire mission if you choose. The downside is you need to take on a huge
fleet of Assimilated Klingon vessels on your own. I managed to do this
with only three ships again, but if you have a fourth it'll really help
if you want this achievement. In either case, the only way to guarantee
earning this one is by using your fleet alone for the majority of the
     mission.

Begin by turning all your ships to maximum shields. Look at your
over-head map. Warp to the left or right of the planet dead ahead. The
one that is past the giant line of turrents. Now completely ignore your
objective to inspect the energy canister and start destroying the
Klingon vessels. Yep that's right. Take them all on on your own. Like I
said, I did it with three ships. If you die or lose a ship, just try
again. Just make sure you're away from the turrents. Once you knock down
a couple craft it actually becomes pretty easy. Make sure not to have a
group of the Klingons all attack just one of your ships, or it's pretty
     much a goner.

With all the enemies gone, you can now safely take down the shields of
the nearby space station, send a boarding team, and complete the
secondary objective before you've even been given it! As a bonus, you
don't even need to defend it from attackers anymore since you just killed
them all. Don't relax yet though, as the hardest part is coming. You
still need to defeat three more Klingon ships, and they are a way harder
to kill than anything you've encountered up to this point in time.

At this point you have two choices. The first is to complete your primary
objective of inspecting the energy canister. Blowing up the shipyard
nearby it causes the turret line to be almost completely destroyed. Kirk
will hail Starfleet to come assist you. Don't worry, they'll get by the
turret line just fine now. Once they reach the main planet, your next
objective will become clear, and those tough Klingon ships will leave
their hangars to get you. Starfleet will help you destroy them. The
biggest problem here is the worry a Starfleet ship might be destroyed.
This is especially true because of the resulting explosions when you
destroy the hangars the Klingon ships were docked in. However,
Starfleet will make taking down those ships WAY WAY easier than doing
     it alone.

And that is actually your second choice... destroy them alone. Just
ignore your primary objective and head for the three ship yards.
Destroying them results in a HUGE explosion, so you may wish to run away
and heal before coming back to attack them. The explosion takes out
half of the Klingon ship's hull though, so on the other hand it's a good
thing. I hope you have four ships if you decide to do this, because with
three you will cut it very close. You'll likely need to lick your wounds
after every ship you defeat. This is the only way to be 100% certain no
Starfleet vessesl will be harmed, however. If you pull it off though,
simply complete the first objective, and you're done!

Personally, I summoned Starfleet and everyone was just fine. If you're
really having trouble taking care of the final three ships on your own,
I suggest you call in the help.

A19) Spirit of Kahless
*******************************************************************************

In Progress. I assume you need to target Omega only and ignore the three
balls around it... Pfft, good luck winning then. I tried attacking
T'uval's ship, but I got nothing for it, and I died almost immediately.

A20) Custodian of Phidian
*******************************************************************************

ok, this one is just sick. This is for the mission "Revelations". You
need to keep every sensor relay functioning through the entire level.
NOT EASY. My only suggestion is take 4 ships and station one of each near
a sensor. Watch your overhead map. When rocks are getting close, fly
out and destroy them. All the while try to finish your main mission.
Yeah, I told you it was tough. You REALLY need to micro manage here. It
took me ages, but I got it eventually. Just be aware of all times what's
coming close to your sensor and you'll get it eventually.

A21) Guerilla In The Mist
*******************************************************************************

An "Ambush" achievement. This one's easier than it might seem. You get
this one by never killing a Romulan through the entire mission.

Begin by inspecting the nearby Federation beacon. After you get Sisko's
message, start destroying the warp dampeners. What you need to do is
move in and out quickly along the perimiter, destroying the beacons while
Romulans aren't looking. If you never get close to any they won't attack
you even though you're destroying their beacons. If by chance you are
attacked, DO NOT ENGAGE. Run for the nearest nebula and hide. Don't let
any of your ships attack. Eventually the Romulan ship will leave and
     return to patrol.

Once you've destroyed enough beacons to enable warp, run or warp to the
giant Romulan space station in the center of the area. You'll find the
station is holding Sisko's captured ship. Have all ships attack the
station. Once the shields are down, transport a landing party to the
station. Now turn on full shields and just circle the station. Attack
nothing! Once Sisko is set free, the mission is over, and you collect
     your achievement.

A22) Sword of Aurelia
*******************************************************************************

For "Anger and Mercy". This is quick and easy. As soon as the mission
begins, ignore everything. Just warp to the giant Borg cubes at the far
right of the over-head map. Destroy one of the cubes, and the achievement
is yours. Was I right or was I right?

A23) Savior of Aurelia
*******************************************************************************

     In progress.

A24) Allied Commander
*******************************************************************************

This one is for the mission "Generals". You need to complete the level
with one Romulan and one Klingon commander alive and assisting you. It's
not too hard. After the first part of the mission, you are tasked with
saving three groups of allies in the immediate vicinity. Quickly warp to
the one on the left hand side of the over-head map. Destroy all enemies
in the area. Then just warp clock-wise to assist the other two groups.
You'll have plenty of allies now.

Just make sure to do the brunt of the fighting for the rest of the mission
and you'll be fine. As long as your're doing the most attacking, the
enemies will focus on you and not your friends.

The final mission based achievement. This is done on the last level, and
is really easy to get. When the USS Scott shows up with the Federation
turrets just don't use his repair service. Voila, the achievement is yours
at missions end. If you really do need to heal, just warp far away and
order your ships to repair themselves. There's no lack of federation ships
that are warping in to help you out, so don't worry about leaving the
     fight.

To obtain this, you need to start a mission in the Next Generation Era
with an Enterprise Era ship still in your possession. I kept a Yorktown
with me through the previous two eras. If you're worried about it being
destroyed, just buy two other ships to aid you and always leave the
Yorktown (or whatever you keep) out of the battles. It's really not that
hard... And hey, you save command points for later on.

A27) Chain Reaction

This one is earned by destroying two or more ships at once with a photon
torpedo. There's no real strategy to this one. I earned it myself on the
mission "Anger and Mercy". That level is ideal simply because the Borg
vessels used are really weak and like to group together. Really though,
this is just one that happens. You can't force the enemy to group up. I
suggest sticking to "Anger and Mercy" simply because the Borg are
infinite, and it really is your best chance seeing as the Borg there are
     weak and like to cluster.

A26) Legacy Captain

Ok. Let's get this out of the way... No. The Legacy is NOT a unique
super ship or something to that end. Sorry. I know. It's a bummer eh? All
it is is a Sovereign class ship with the name of "USS Legacy". Whoopdee
bloody doo. I guess you're going to need it either way to get this
achievement though. To get it, you need to first beat the game. Once
you've done this, save your game at the end and go back to continue.
You'll be back at the ship purchasing menu for the final mission. Now you
need to purchase three Sovereign class ships. Sell any ship that isn't a
Sovereign and use the points to buy them. The very last Sovereign you buy
will be called the USS Legacy (check the last ship on your fleet bar to
see for yourself). Once you have it, just start the final mission. As it
loads, you should get the achievement. There ya go.

I have no idea where Mad Doc was going with this one... Where's my super
     ship? :P

Win any online battle and you'll earn this. Best strategy? Use a Borg
Tactical Cube, or a Diamond3 and three Oblisk3's.

Good luck finding people online frequently though :P

Take down 10 Federation ships online.

The hardest part here is going to be finding anyone online to earn this.
And even then you need to have on at least 10 respawns, or 3 opponents
who have all picked the same fleet. All of these things are very, very
unlikely. Even more so considering the online community is almost
non-existant. So here's what I ended up doing.

My friend and I started a 2 player match. He used the Borg (one diamond3
and three oblisk3's), and I picked which ever race he needed the
achievement for. I simply picked 4 scout class ships and set the respawn
to 12. We began the match. He completely obliterated me and got the
achievement for said race. We went through all the ones he needed, and
then we flipped. It worked like a charm.

A26. Anonymous Red-Shirt Award

Hahaha, yes :P. To get 5 whole achievement points, you need to LOSE sucka!
This one is super easy as long as you're lucky enough to find and join a
4 person match online. Just pick the Federation and go with the very first
scout ship. Just one of them. When the game begins, warp to your nearest
opponent and... DO NOTHING! Don't worry, you'll get your 5 points pretty
     darn quickly ;).

Now I finally understand how those poor security officers feel...

Feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions you may have
regarding my FAQ, or anything you see that may require fixing or editing.
This was my first FAQ, so I realize I might have made some bad errors here
or there. On the whole, however, I hope you found this FAQ useful and easy
to use.

I bought the game recently and was appalled at the lack of detail in the
achievement descriptions. Hopefully this guide will help those who were as
confused as I was about some of them at the beginning!

Anyways, thanks for reading. Hopefully this is only the first of many FAQ's
to come!
