1. ***FOREWORD***

This guide covers the Standard Campaign. You will find that there are slight
differences in the locations and types of enemy units in the Advanced
Campaign. I have skipped over parts that are self explanatory and/or obvious.
Maps are not even close to scale, but hopefully will help the first time
player.

2. ***GAME TIPS***

Don’t shop around. Always use Alec Falcon as your Commander until General
Regina becomes available and then use her exclusively. Their Active Powers
are game breakers.

Patience is a virtue. If you are not going for a speed rating, don’t be
afraid to just sit and wait for a few turns until your Commander’s Active
Power gauge has refilled (especially when playing the Advanced Campaign).

This year’s model. Most of your factory production should be of the latest
unit available. For example, once Light Artillery is available there is
little need to produce anything else. The same goes for Heavy Artillery and
Super Units. Don’t worry about trying to diversify your forces. Scouts,
Gunships, and Anti-air Units will still have a limited role.

Superstar. When trying to get 5 star ratings, remember that these can be
done one at a time. For example, when trying for the 5 star Tactics rating
don’t worry about your Speed rating. At mission’s end, the highest rating in
each category from the previous missions is what sticks (and counts toward
the Achievement).

SAVE SAVE SAVE!!! The game allows you to save your mission progress after
each round if you want. There is nothing worse than having to start a
mission over because of walking blindly into an enemy trap, or delivering
two consecutive glancing hits as the enemy crushes you with two critical hits.

Scouting report. Use Scouts toward the front of your ranks to give you great
visibility and clear the “fog of war.”

Fools rush in. Don’t use all of your action points at once when walking into
an area for the first time. Go one square at a time so that you can retreat
if you run into trouble. Set your troops up at the edge of the enemy attack
range and let them come to you. You can check the enemy range by moving your
cursor over them and holding the B button.

X marks the spot. If you are at an enemy factory, airbase, or capital and do
not have an infantry unit ready for the capture, park one of your units on
the capture spot. This will prevent the enemy from producing any more units.

Move your Commander to the east and take out the first infantry soldier.(1)
Continue east and use your Commander, with Scout if necessary, to take out
the next infantry unit.

Follow the road south taking out another light infantry on the way.(2) Move
your Commander into the enemy base to make quick work of the two infantry
units posted there.(3) Drop off an infantry unit on the enemy capital to claim
victory.

Move your forces west to destroy the enemy infantry and take control of the
oil wells.(1) You now have two choices: you can move south down the road and
take the enemy head on(2), or break right and come at the enemy from behind.(3)
I prefer to use the second option, as it allows me to spread my forces more
easily without bottlenecking.

Either way, you can build scouts at your factory for some speedy
reinforcements, or light tanks which will take a bit longer to catch up. Be
ready for Striker Alden to use his Reinforcements power. You can counter
with you Firing Frenzy to cut them down to size.(4)

Capture the enemy factory and produce units there if needed, or simply put
down the stragglers with the units you have. Capture the research facility
to complete the mission.

enemy base.

Follow the road to the east taking out the infantry along the way. The road
turns north to your first encounter with enemy Light Artillery.(1) If the
artillery doesn’t come to you, you’ll have to rush your forces in and
possibly take a hit. Wipe them out and continue along the road as it bends
to the west.(2)

(Secret Token) Located to the north of this western curve in the road.

You will face a tank or two and Striker Alden around the next bend to the
north.(3) Wipe them out and it is mission accomplished.

Start by sending your infantry directly south to capture the buildings.(1)
Begin producing Light Artillery as soon as possible and positioning them at
the southernmost edge of your base area(2). Move your Commander down the path
to the right of your base area and to the west once you reach the main road.(3)
I suggest keeping your tank in your base area to combat the one infantry and
one tank that the enemy sends your way from the path to the west of your
base.(4) This way, you will have your artillery to back you up as needed.
After these two enemy units are down, send your tank after your Commander to
help stop the enemy. You can send one infantry as well and leave one
infantry to get the token.

(Secret Token) Located down the path leading west from your base.

Keep cranking out Light Artillery and posting them just below your factory on
the ridge. I like to move my Commander to the west until I can see the enemy
units, and then pull back to stay out of the line of fire. Hit the enemy
with your artillery as they try to cross. Don’t allow any transports to get
by! If they do, the mission is over. Let the enemy come to you. Destroy
them all to be declared victorious.

Move your Radar Unit along the road to make the mines visible. Once you see
the mines, they are visible forever. There is no need to leave the Radar
Unit behind or to produce more (unless it is destroyed). Take out the first
enemy infantry unit with your Commander and proceed east.(1) After moving
through the first mine field, you will see an enemy factory to the south.(2)
Take out the enemy tank and proceed to capture the factory. You can now
produce additional units from this factory to bring into battle.

Move your forces directly north of your new factory through the gap and then
due west.(3) You will be able to pick off the enemy forces one at a time as
they try to push through the narrow gap. Once these enemies are neutralized,
move your troops through the gap.

As you come out on the other side you will be faced with artillery and an
enemy base.(4) Take out the enemy and take control of the factory to win the
day.

(Secret Token) Located north of the enemy base of operations.

(Secret Token #1) Directly southeast of your starting location.

Begin producing Light Artillery as you can. Send your Commander, Scout, and
Transport with infantry up the road heading north.(1) After the road turns to
the east you will see the first generator with an enemy tank behind it. Take
out the tank and drop off your infantry for the capture. Continue along the
road as it heads south destroying the scout along the way.(2) Capture the
second generator.

By this time the enemy may be moving toward your base. Bring your Commander
and Scout from the north along with the artillery you have produced from your
base to crush them.(3) Then take your whole group along the road to the east.

You will come upon an enemy factory and most likely an enemy tank lurking in
the shadows. Striker Kaden will be waiting on the ridge above to the
northeast of this factory. You can position your artillery above the factory
in such a way that you will be able to hit Kaden without him being able to
retaliate.(4) Beware of Kaden’s Missile Rain power if he approaches. It is
much like your Firing Frenzy and could be devastating if your entire army
gets caught in the blast.

After nuking Kaden and taking the factory, continue north up the road to take
the final generator.(5) Wipe out the infantry and possible tank and continue
to follow the road as it heads north to the final destination.

The road ahead is narrow and can be hazardous if you don’t take it slowly.
As you approach you will see numerous enemy troops burst through the portal.(6)
Move your Scout as far forward as possible to give yourself a better view of
the battlefield and then let loose with your artillery. You may find that
Striker Kaden has respawned so be prepared for the Missile Rain again.

(Secret Token #2) Located north of the enemy base.

Wipe out the enemy and capture the portal to be victorious.

Mission tip: Keep your troops on your oil wells and factory whenever possible.
They will gain the advantage of additional defense and health regeneration.

Begin by immediately claiming the factory and oil wells. Produce one Light
Artillery, one Repair Truck, and one Anti-air in that order. Move your
Commander and one tank to the west of your base along the upper path and
engage the enemy as you turn toward the south.(1) Move your forces back to the
base after taking care of these enemies.

Move your Anti-air Unit near the portal as the first air attack is generally
from that area.(2) Keep cranking out Light Artillery and position one in the
eastern edge of your base(3) and the rest along the southern edge of your
base.(4) Use your infantry units as spotters by placing one to the east(5) and
one to the south of your base.(6)

After producing a few artillery units, I would recommend producing one more
Anti-air unit to thwart the remaining air attacks. The enemy will bring in
their own artillery from the southeast of your base toward the end of the
scenario.(7) Hold on through round 18 to win this bout.

(Secret Token) Directly south of your base. You will encounter the enemy
Commander and Gunships along this route so be prepared!

Mission tip: Remember, you can shoot the pillboxes instead of capturing them.
This is most easily done by flying your Gunship into one of the squares
beside the pillbox and shooting it from there.

Move your Commander north and you will be joined by infantry and a gunship.(1)
Move up to the edge of the pillbox kill zone and then rush in to capture on
the next turn. Head east to confront the enemy Anti-air Unit followed by a
tank around the bend heading back west.(2)

(Secret Token #1) Located on a plateau above the first tank you encounter
accessed from the west. It is guarded by two pill boxes that make for a
difficult capture. I recommend destroying the pillboxes with all of your
troops if you want this token.

Use your Gunship to take out the next pillbox to the west while avoiding the
Anti-air to the north.(3) Defeat the tank and the infantry soldier in the area
and move a bit further west. You will be joined by a friendly tank and
infantry.

You will now face two more pillboxes with Anti-air and tanks in the next
passage. I recommend staying just out of range and letting the enemy come
to you.(4) Once they are defeated, you can destroy the pillboxes in one of two
ways. Either let your Active Power meter fill and unleash the fury a couple
of times, or rush all of your troops in together and take your beating.

(Secret Token #2) Located to the northwest of these pillboxes.

After smashing the pillboxes, follow the passage to the northeast.(5) Take out
a few more enemy units and walk up to Striker Kaden to end the round.

Take down the enemy Scout with your Commander and head north along the road
with all of your forces besides the Transport and infantry.(1) Send the
Transport with infantry overseas to the west of your base and claim the two oil
wells on the island.(2) Begin building Light Artillery as fast as you can.
Build a few Anti-air Units as well. I recommend building one Scout and one
Gunship for scouting purposes also.

(Secret Token) Located on an island to the southeast of your starting
position.

As you head north you will find a “T” in the road.(3) General Veers’ base is
located to the northeast. General Regina’s base lies to the west. Keep
funneling your troops to this area and slowly wedge your forces into the
intersection. You may want to keep one Anti-air Unit by your base and one
with your main force just in case Veers sends a Gunship.

At this point, I find that it is easiest to continue accumulating artillery
units at this intersection and then begin pushing in on both enemy forces at
the same time. I will discuss strategies for the two fronts separately even
though you will be pursuing them simultaneously.

On General Regina’s side, you have to move in through a narrow passage which
will take some time.(4) I recommend using a Gunship to fly along the southern
ridge of this area and scout ahead for your artillery.(5) When you finally
make it through the passage, you will find two enemy factories guarded by a
wide assortment of troops including General Regina. Fly in your infantry on
the Transport to capture these as soon as possible. There is nothing tricky
about attaining victory on this front. Simply overwhelm the enemy with Light
Artillery and pummel them into submission.

On General Veers’ side, you will have a bit tougher time. He has Gunships,
Bombers, and Heavy Artillery at his disposal. His Passive Power restores
health to his air units. His Active Power allows his air units to travel
further for one round. This makes it difficult to move in on him.

The best strategy I have found is to set up three Anti-air units along with
as much Light Artillery as you can muster at the edge of the enemy attack
zone.(6) Then rush in with everything you have, concentrating on eliminating
the enemy aircraft first. If you don’t have infantry immediately available,
position your units on the enemy capital, two airbases, and factory to
prevent further enemy reinforcements from appearing. There may be an enemy
Heavy Artillery lurking in the shadows to the east so be prepared.

Capture both enemy capitals to win your first multi-front campaign.

Begin moving your forces along the road with you Radar Unit in the lead,
followed by your artillery. There are mines in the middle of the road all
along this path so don’t rush into an area without letting the Radar Unit
have a look.

As the road leads to the west you will first square off against an enemy tank
and artillery.(1) The safest way to deal with them is to move slowly with your
Radar Unit in front, as it can see far ahead. Then use your artillery
exclusively to pummel these enemies one at a time. You should be using
General Regina as your Commander at this point. She offers extended range to
your artillery which is invaluable in this scenario.

Next, the road turns to the south. Enemy artillery is located to the west of
this bend with an infantry soldier to the south.(2) Moving your Radar Unit to
the north at this point can give you a clear view of the enemy artillery.

Continue south on the road to find an enemy tank and artillery.(3) Blow them
to bits and watch out for mines as you finish your trip down this road.

Once you reach the base area, unload your infantry to claim the buildings and
oil wells. You can’t be attacked in this area and there are no mines. Place
any of your damaged troops on your new oil wells to restore their health.
Begin building two Gunships and enough Air Transports to move you troops to the
next battle.
**Tip** You can load your ground Transport with three infantry soldiers and
then load that unit into an Air Transport.

(Secret Token) Located on an island to the east of your new base.

Once your troops are assembled and loaded, it is time to move on Raven.
Typically, Raven will be perched along the northern edge of her island.(4) Be
aware of her Sabotage Active Power. It can disable all of your nearby units
for one round. Take your Gunships into that area, being careful to stay out
of her attack radius, to harass her and her troops. Take your Transports
around either side of Raven’s island, giving a wide berth. Beware of the two
pillboxes on the northwest and north central area of the island.(5)

Begin landing your troops on the west, east or south side of the island. An
enemy factory is located in the southern part of the island. There is also a
randomly placed mine or two so beware. If you need more forces to defeat
Raven, simply capture the factory and begin building some additional
artillery units. You should have no trouble though, and victory will soon be
yours.

This mission can be tough until you realize that you can destroy the enemy
missile silos instead of capturing them. Trying to capture them is extremely
difficult and will result in heavy casualties. Remember that by having
General Regina near your artillery, they will have increased firing range that
enables them to hit the missile silos while staying out of the silo kill zone.

Begin by moving your troops a tiny bit to the southeast to keep them out of
range of the first missile silo.(1) Don’t go too far south. If you do, the
southern missile silo will have a shot at you.(6) Use your Commander to spot
the missile silo for you.(2) Use your artillery to destroy the first silo and
then head along the road that leads east.

You will see a factory on the northern side of the road, but don’t capture it
yet.(3) It is in range of a missile silo and will be a suicide mission for
your infantry. Instead, keep moving along the road until in splits. The
northern road leads to this silo(4). The southern route leads to an enemy
capital. Capture the capital and dispatch the silo with your artillery.

Now you have a little bit of breathing room. You can back track to the
factory and take it.(3) Produce a couple of Heavy Artillery from here. You
can either produce an Anti-air Unit here or a couple of infantry at your new
capital to help you deal with the enemy airbase you are about to take.

If you are going for a 5 star speed rating, this is the point at which you
will want to divide your forces. Send infantry and an optional Anti-air to
the northeast of your new capital to claim the airbase.(5) You can build
Gunships here to make the rest of the mission a breeze.

Send one gunship to the southernmost missile silo that was just south of your
starting position.(6) Have an artillery unit join in if you like to finish it
off.

Send artillery to the silo northwest of the first missile silo that you
encountered to blow it sky high.(7)

Send a gunship to the northeast of your airbase to take out missile silo
number five.(8)

(Secret Token) Located south of missile silo number five.

The final missile silo is located almost directly north of the airbase.(9) It
may be guarded by an Anti-air unit, but by now you should have more than
enough artillery units to crush them all. Take it out to bring Raven back
down to Earth.

This is the second survival mission. You simply have to hold out for 25
rounds to claim a victory. I actually found this survival mission to be
easier than the first.

I recommend keeping your troops close to home initially. Keep them on your
oil wells whenever possible to add defense and regenerate health. You will
need to build one Anti-air unit to guard against air attacks that generally
come from the southern side of your base. Place this Anti-air Unit on your
southern oil well.(1) Then crank out the Heavy Artillery. Having a Scout
toward the north is also helpful to increase your sight distance. You may
want another Anti-air unit for backup, or just use your infantry. One repair
truck is also helpful.

Cluster your troops around the northern oil well after claiming it.(2) If you
begin to push out to the east, northeast, west, and northwest you will find
that the enemy has a limited number of troops that simply wait on the
outskirts. I have been able to defeat them out there and have all enemies
defeated by round 19.

In the later rounds, the Super Units will push forward. These bad boys pack
a mean punch and can hit air targets as well as ground. They will attack
from both sides of your base. Be prepared to retaliate with Heavy Artillery.
You should have no trouble holding out until round 25 to emerge victorious.

(Secret Token) Located directly south of your base and guarded by a Gunship.

This mission can be tough in the opening rounds. You will be fighting on two
fronts. The first is to the northeast of your base. I recommend leaving
your lone Super Unit to hold off attackers in this area.(1) The second front
is to the northwest of your base. Take all remaining forces in this
direction.(2)

I recommend building one Anti-air Unit to begin. The enemy has two airbases:
one directly north of your base over the ridge, and one on the eastern edge
of the map. The air attacks come from varied locations. Begin building
Heavy Artillery as you can.

I will discuss the northwest campaign with the bulk of your forces first and
then the northeastern front with your Super Unit. You can pursue both of
these objectives simultaneously however.

On the northwestern front, you will find an enemy factory that produces Heavy
Artillery and Super Units. At first, you may have to retreat a couple of
times if the Super Units push forward. The key is to get your Heavy
Artillery into the fight as quickly as possible. Once these enemies are
defeated, capture the factory and the oil wells. Regroup your forces and
begin to push up the road heading north and then east.

As you turn east, you will find an enemy capital and a factory along the
road.(3) The passage to the enemy airbase lies to the south of this area.
Your best bet is to send an Anti-air unit south to deal with this airbase.(4)
Once you are there you can park your unit on the airbase, or send an infantry
unit along to capture.

You may find Striker Kaden lurking behind the factory. It may take some
time, but you can eventually push the enemy back to claim these areas. Take
out Striker Kaden if necessary and follow the road as it heads south to
rendezvous with your other forces and surround the remaining enemies.(5)

On the northeastern front, you can hold the attackers off with you Super
Unit, but it will need some help to push forward.(1) Build an Anti-air Unit,
Scout, Repair Truck, and as much Heavy Artillery as you can. As you move
northeast of your base, you will find that the road splits to head north and
east. The eastern road leads to an enemy airbase.(6) The northern road leads
to an enemy factory.(7) The airbase is difficult to take until you have
captured the factory because the airbase is in range of enemy artillery
stationed at the factory. Beware of enemy Super Units in the factory area.

(Secret Token) Located east of the eastern airbase.

You may have to wait for your primary force to loop back to the northeastern
front in order to finish the fight. If that is the case, simply hold your
ground with you Super Unit until they arrive and then come together to crush
the enemy resistance. Claim the final factory and airbase to end the battle.

Take your Commander, Super Unit, Light Tank, and Light Infantry down the
corridor directly southeast of your starting position.(1) As you move, leave
the Light Tank just below the cactus at the corner of the road that heads
north. Let the enemy tank move down to this point and then take it out with
yours. When this first encounter is finished, move your tank to the oil well
at the southwest corner of your base.(4) Continue moving the remaining troops
down the corridor and then head west to take out the enemy infantry and
artillery. Capture the capital and loop back around to the starting base.(2)

You should have enough cash by now to purchase a Super Unit. Move both of
your Super Units to the northwest of your starting base and rush the enemy
base.(3) You will take a few hits on the way in, but should be able to defeat
all enemy forces. Follow your Super Units with an infantry unit and Repair
Truck.

(Secret Token #1) Located in the southwest corner of this area.

At this point I recommend building an Anti-air Unit and moving it to the
southwest of your base along with the light tank.(4) Defend this corner from
incoming enemies until your Super Units can join the fight. Then begin to
move all of your forces along the road and beyond the wall. You will first
be greeted by enemy infantry and aircraft and then assaulted by an enemy
Super Unit from the south. After defeating all, leave one Super Unit one
square to the right of the “T” in the road. This one unit will be able to
hold off the constant stream of enemy infantry and still be out of reach of
the enemy artillery that lies ahead.

Move all remaining forces down the road leading south and prepare for a tough
battle. Gather all of your units at the point where the road begins to bend
toward the west.(5) Position your Anti-air and Super Units toward the front of
the group. Place two artillery units along the western edge of the road
before the bend.(6) Once your other troops move further along you will be able
to hit the enemy factory with these artillery units. Ahead lies an enemy air
base with Gunship, Heavy Artillery, Bomber, and factory with tank.

Begin by moving your Anti-air in to take out the enemy Gunship. Finish the
Gunship with a Super Unit as quickly as possible and park a unit on the enemy
airbase to prevent the production of more units until your infantry can
capture it. Move all of your troops into the combat zone. You will take a
hit from the enemy artillery. Hopefully your Commander has her Full Action
power ready. If so, use it now.

Next, concentrate your forces on the enemy Bomber and Heavy Artillery. If
the intersection becomes too crowded, move a couple of units on up the road
that turns north and have them attack from the other side. By this time, the
enemy will probably be trying to produce their own Super Unit from the
factory. This enemy Super Unit must not be allowed to level up!!! If it
does, your campaign will be nearly impossible to complete.

Mop up the remaining tanks and continue up the road leading north. Merge
forces with your Super Unit that was left behind, and any new forces that you
have added to your ranks.(7)

To the north you will find that the enemy has control of a capital building
and a portal. Capture these and then move your forces directly west to find
a factory guarded by artillery, tanks and a Super Unit. Capture this factory
to end the scenario.

(Secret Token #2) You will find the second secret token through the gap in
the wall to the north of the enemy portal.

You’ve made it to the final mission! This one is a bit easier than Mission
14 once you figure out the terrain. You will want to build Heavy Artillery
and Super Units for most of your fighting force. Begin by moving your forces
on the road heading east and then south from your base. I suggest leaving
your tank at this first intersection to hold off enemy invaders.(1)

This mission will be fought on multiple fronts. I will discuss the southern
front involving your Commander and initial forces first. I will then discuss
the second front that will spearhead from this initial crossroads area.

Move your troops south down the road to find an oil well.(2) It is guarded by
a variety of enemies including Heavy Artillery. Move slowly and carefully.
Remember that General Regina will allow your artillery to shoot further,
making it easier to take out the baddies.

After capturing this oil well, continue to follow the road as it leads east
and then north. Along the way you will find an enemy Super Unit.(3) Be
strategic and pop the Super Unit with your artillery. Continue north and you
will find an enemy stronghold riddled with various enemies, an oil well, and
factory. Be aware of the strong concentration of enemy artillery further
north on the road that you came in on.(4) Capture the oil well and factory and
then concentrate on taking out the enemy artillery horde discussed above.

On the second front, you will need Heavy Artillery and a Scout to keep the
enemy in check. You are basically faced with a maze of buildings to the east
of your starting position. Move your Scout along with your initial force and
then have it break off from the group before you reach the first oil well.
Move the Scout to the east below the building maze.(5) This way, you will be
able to spot enemy artillery and Super Units for your Heavy Artillery. Be
sure to keep your Scout out of firing range!

Build and move Heavy Artillery to the road intersection east of your base.(1)
By positioning these units on the very western edge of the building maze, you
will be able to hit the enemy artillery and Super Units. The enemy may
decide to send a tank or Super Unit towards this group to greet your
artillery. If this happens you will need your own Super Unit for defense.

Once the enemy has been beaten back, push forward through the building maze
to find an enemy factory.(6) Further to the east behind the wall, you will see
the enemy artillery cluster that was mentioned in the other front’s fight.(4)
To the north of the building maze is an oil well guarded by a tank.(7)

At this point you should be able to defeat the enemy artillery cluster,
regroup your forces, and begin the final push! Mop up the remaining enemy
forces in the area and claim the oil well to the north of this area if you
need the cash.(8) Move your forces to the northeast where you will see a
narrow road leading east. Prepare for the final battle!

I recommend clustering your forces at the edge of the road.(9) If you move in
too far, Professor Zane will be activated and you will lose the advantage.
Place your Super Units at the front of the group, followed by Heavy
Artillery, General Regina, and one troop Transport. If General Regina’s
Active Power is not ready, wait a few rounds until it is recharged.

Begin the surge by moving all Super Units as far forward as possible. Move
your Heavy Artillery as far in along the southern edge of the road as
possible and bunch the rest in behind the Super Units. Move General Regina
forward along with the Transport and activate your Full Action power. Begin
pounding Professor Zane with your Heavy Artillery. After he bites the dust,
use you Super Units to take down the remaining enemies in the area. You may
find additional enemy units hiding out behind the enemy capital. Take out
any remaining enemies and move your Transport in to drop off your infantry
at the capital for the win.

(Secret Token) Located north of the enemy factory.
