There has been no official date but it might be coming in one of the friday updates so look for it. If i were to take I guess I'd say Sept. 25, that day H3 came out.

Bungie has said in the past that they have no plans to make it free, but it might happen when the next map pack comes out.

The maps are highly doubt be free. They had drop the price down though. It was 800mp but now it's 600mp but you don't get the extended file share. So I suggest you just buy them. But they might be free if they ever make new maps again...or on a disc.

Bungie has said they do not have plans on EVER making the maps free. It's only about 10 or so dollars. Not a bad price, I'd say.

They always make the map packs free when a new pack comes out. When mythic comes out, which im guessing is within a month or so, legendary will be made free. Mythic however, will cost 800 for a month or two, then change to 600, then finally 400 and stay that way. They may release another pack after mythic but nothing is certain.

Bungie will probally never be free 'cause they are makeing money off of everyone who will buy it. Personaly I think taht most of there new maps are horrible anyway

There are no plans for the Legendary Map pack to be free. Although, it may become free when the Mythic Map pack comes out in February. But still, it's best just to buy it because then you still wouldn't have the latest map pack.

It is possible that they will make the map pack free after ther mythic map pack is released next year.

of course it will be free that is what happend with the first map pack. Legendary will be free when either reacon or mystic comes out.

well, they made the heroic free, and at the start the legendary map pack was 800pts and is currently 600pts which is what i baught it at but they MIGHT make it free.

I'm pretty sure it might become free when the Mythic map-pack comes out.

Bungie said that it will never be free, but anything's possible. It was lowered to 600 m.s. points, though.

For what i know is that they might be free next year possibly because less people go to buy it so they might make it free so people wont have to buy it also I also heard from a bungie employee or someone else said that he downloaded it from downloadable content via xbox live

bungie is all like 'give me ur moneys" and were all like "FREE MAPS" and they get pi$$ed off... so neveer
