Yes, it is possible to get almost everything without playing volleyball. However, volleyball is one of the most entertaining aspects of the game, and one of the best money makers, so I would recommend playing.

statusYes theoretically it's possible to finish this game without playing volleyball, except for the first game which was compulsory. Tina may be a bit less happy if you don't beat her at volleyball, but that's no big deal. A couple more presents she'll be alright.
You have to play volleyball to get the 3 Zack Balls which are requiered for the Secret Achievement.
