Earth Defense Force 2017

The BEST way?....get BACK-UP! Try and battle on 2 player with a buddy, and try to have a diverse set of defensive and offensive weapons. Each player can carry 2 weapons, so that could be 4 different weapons or both of you have the same primary and 2 different 2nd weapons, totaling 3 different weapons. You figure out what you want to use. Have a diverse - but USEFUL - set of weapons. Machine gun, sniper, and rockets, whatever - make sure between the 2 of you, you can effectively defend AND attack. If you dont have a buddy to help - use my old strategy: Get controller two and be players 1 AND 2! Yeah, it's tough, but with some practice you can get the hang of it. Use the secondary player 2 controller to set ZEXRs and the like (your pickin) and let your controller 1 be your main attacker. It takes some good timing and attention to whats going on though. I dont drop everything at once for my second guy. Space it out so you keep him gunning for a while. Remember also this requires you to keep a glance at whats going on with both characters on the split screen at the same time. You may have to quickly hit your fire/activate buttons on your 2nd guy (to activate ZEXR guns you may have laid out as a perimeter first) and jump right back to your first guy without skipping a beat. Yeah, its tough, but you get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect. Let your main character be primarily offensive - dishing out mad damage to the enemies while your #2 character is more of a defensive wall of fire. One of your players may not make it through the whole stage - but as long as one remains standingthat all that matters. Hope it works for youit worked for me/us. (oh yeah...farming health on earlier stages is always is a HUGE plus...)
